Great condition for a 99 with 173k miles.

Interior is in great condition, looks better than pictures.  Body in good shape generally but will need some eventual body work.  Has rust spots showing around rear wheel wells and a spot above the windshield.

Runs great, shifts great, handles great.

These are the known issues (just had my mechanic check it out to make sure everything was ok)
AC not working-haven't had it checked out-so it could just need recharged, but I don't know.
ABS brake light on.  Has been for long time.  But brakes work great.  I'm guessing it's just the ABS that's an issue-but I don't know.
Antennae doesn't lower.
Driver side door lock seems to freeze in cold weather.
Sometimes door handle sticks.  Both probably need sprayed.
Was in a wreck some years ago.  No frame damage at all.
But front quarterpannels and hood replaced.  So, they look great!
Tires in pretty good shape.
Hood latch sticks sometimes-again-probably needs sprayed.

Windows and locks and moonroof all work.
Upgraded MP3 Stereo.
Still quick and agile.
I planned on running it for a few more years, but have 3 kids who don't fit in the back-so i wanted to get a car that fit 5 altogether.  Had one before that and ran it to 200500 miles, and still ran great.  (Sold it to get car that fit kids also!)

Should be a great car for someone!

4/3 2 Added Notes

You can see that there was some body work done on rust around the rear wheel well on both sides.  You can see the Red spray paint contrasted to the faded older paint.
Also, the Fog lights were aftermarket and no longer work.
Lastly, the timing belt/water pump were changed at around 160,000 miles, so should be good for years to come.

2013 Acura ILX Hybrid

This Is Not The Acura You're Looking For
Mid-level luxury brands have always had to do a bit of leg work to distance themselves from their more common cousins. Thanks to generation after generation of pervasive badge engineering (much of it from the Big Three), buyers can't be blamed for looking at brands like Buick, Lincoln, Infiniti, Lexus and yes, Acura as tarted up versions of Chevrolet, Ford, Nissan, Toyota and Honda products. For much of its lifetime in the automotive landscape, however, Acura has excelled at putting distance between its offerings and that of its parent company thanks to cars with superior driving dynamics, quieter cabins and clean, attractive aesthetics.
Yes, outliers and dull spots can be found in the company's recent track record, but by and large, Acura products remain situated well above the Honda rabble. When the brand announced it was getting serious about the luxury small car game with the ILX, those of us with a set of the company's keys in our past couldn't help but envision an honest successor to the long-dead Integra. Turns out, that wasn't what Acura had in mind.

Acura organizes new business division to confront falling sedan sales

Wed, 26 Feb 2014

Honda and Acura North America have announced a major restructuring of operations in hopes of turning around Acura's flagging business. For 2013, sales for Acura's sedans dropped 10.4 percent, while its CUV sales grew by 21 percent. The newly formed Acura Business Planning Office will attempt to right the ship.
As part of the restructuring, Acura is promoting Erik Berkman from President of Honda R&D Americas to lead a new division called the Acura Business Planning Office. Berkman has been with Honda since 1982 and led development of the 2006 Accord. He was also the first US engineer to head North American research and development and has been head of Honda Performance Development since 2008. "Erik's appointment to the new Acura Business Planning Office is a clear indication of the high priority we place on Acura," said Honda spokesperson Jeffrey Smith to Automotive News.
American Honda Motor President and CEO Tetsuo Iwamura is also going to be working to improve the business. He has been elected chairman of American Honda's board, and has simultaneously taken the new position of Corporate Brand Officer to improve the management of the company's brands.

Going Mainstream Has Its Privileges
Acura's experiment with niche models has failed. Competing in the luxury car business by filling white space with product just didn't work for the Japanese automaker. In place of slow-selling models like its ZDX and quirky first-gen RDX, the mindset at Acura has recently switched to more conventional products with vastly improved volume potential. The redesigned 2013 RDX, for example, sold almost as many units in 2012 as it did in 2010 and 2011 combined, and the all-new 2013 ILX has sold more units each month - since going on sale in May - than Acura sold in ZDXs and RLs in all of last year.
While the redesigned RDX is a crucial product to compete with luxury compact crossovers, the ILX might be the most important new product for Acura, as a growing number of premium makes are starting to realize the importance of upscale entry-level compact cars. Ironically, this segment was a pivotal part of the brand's success in the 1980s and '90s thanks to the Integra, but Acura completely abandoned the genre when it killed off the RSX coupe in 2006. The addition of the ILX not only gives Acura a competitive small car again, it also drops the brand's entry price by almost $5,000.
