Mint 2012 Acura MDX SH AWD,
I purchased this SUV about a Year ago from Copart with a 907A Rebuildable salvage title from NY. When the SUV showed up on the transport I looked underneath and it looked like a brand new car ! The water line was marked on the side with crayon at 20" inches from the insurance company. I put a charge on the Battery overnight and to my surprise the SUV FIRED RIGHT UP and only had 1,200 Miles ! The SUV looked to be a dealer demo as appeared to have not gone thru dealer prep (missing wheel locks and mats) I removed the Whole interior, cleaned and CRC siliconed everything, replaced seat motors and wiring harness for both front seats and replaced the Air bag module. I then took the SUV to my local Dealer and had all codes reset for a complete job. This has been my everyday driver to work and now has a little over 25k miles on it and all maintenance is up to date. I have been using a friends dealer plate so never go it state inspected so please look into your states guidelines on how to register it. I Do require a 500.00 deposit within 48 hours at the end of auction. I will take Cash, Cashiers Check or Bank Wire, All funds MUST CLEAR the bank before the SUV leaves. Acura recalls 7,387 new RLX sedans over suspension bolts
Wed, 18 Dec 2013Acura has announced a recall for the 2014 RLX due to improperly tightened rear suspension bolts that could come loose and increase the risk of a crash. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has yet to formally issue a recall notice for the RLX, but Acura says that a total of 7,387 RLX sedans are affected, which seems to include markets outside of the US as there have only been 4,456 of the sedans sold through November.
While there isn't an official NHTSA statement, there is one complaint on the government agency's site for a similar incident that caused a driver to almost lose control of the vehicle. Recall notices will be mailed out to customers starting next month, but in the meantime, Acura has issued a press release, which is posted below, and includes contact information that will be useful for affected RLX owners.

Sat, 05 Oct 2013The Honda NSX Concept-GT is one sexy machine, and it looks to be a very effective tool on a race circuit. But Honda's latest web spot leads us to believe that it also can be used to make tea.
In the video, the racecar is hooked up to an apparatus that uses tubing to harness the energy from the car's 500-horsepower hybrid drive system, using it to boil water. The novel tea-making technique reminds us a bit of a couple other inventive Honda commercials, namely Hands and Cog.

MotorWeek remembers retro icons, Supra and NSX
Thu, 16 Oct 2014It's easy to poke a joke here and there about John Davis, the long-time host of MotorWeek. His voice is so monotonous that, from time to time, if you closed your eyes, you may think it's generated via a computer. But you have to give him and the rest of the show a lot of credit. The program has been on the air for decades, giving people direct, straight-down-the middle automotive reviews.
MotorWeek's massive back catalog of reviews are slowly making their way onto YouTube, and they provide a fascinating chance to look back on how performance cars rank against their contemporaries from back in the day. Two recent additions include the show's old looks at the 1986 Toyota Supra, the dawn of the third-generation model, and the now-iconic 1991 Acura NSX.
Both reviews are interesting in their own way. These days you hear nary a negative word about the original NSX, but MotorWeek isn't afraid to point out a few flaws. And the Supra really shows the progress of suspension tuning in the intervening decades because it has some serious body roll in the corners.
