1992 Acura Nsx, Low Miles on 2040-cars
Iowa City, Iowa, United States
For sale is my 1992 Acura NSX. I am the third owner and have owned the car since 2004. The car is an absolute blast to drive and is a serious head turner. I am complimented on the car every time I drive the car, most people think the car is a Ferrari. For those who know the history of the NSX, the "cockpit" of the car was designed based on the F-16 fighter jet which becomes very obvious when you drive the car. The sound of the 3.0L VTEC right behind your head as it revs to 8,000 rpm is unbelievable.
The car currently has 57,000 miles on it but will likely increase as I still enjoy driving the car. It is a great AFFORDABLE exotic sports car. Additions I have made to the car are Eibach lowering springs, Koni yellow adjustable shocks, 18" chrome rear wheels, 17" chrome front wheels and a K&N intake. I also have the stock wheels which will be included in the sale of the car. Currently the stereo does not work in the car, it will power on but does not produce sound. The car is in great shape and has been very well taken care of. It shifts smoothly with no grinding and handles like it's on rails. I have been a car detailer for over 13 years and take meticulous care of my vehicles, you will not be disappointed. I adore the car, but I am finally ready to try something different. |

Powerball winner's first purchase will be used Acura NSX off Craigslist
Thu, 08 Aug 2013We don't play the lottery very often, but when we do, even a five-dollar win is cause for celebration. So we can't possibly imagine how Paul White from Minnesota is feeling after scoring a third of this week's $448 million Powerball jackpot. It has to be an overwhelming experience, but we think he's going to end up handling it well if his first press conference is any indication.
Like some of us, White has a pretty reasonable idea of what his first purchase is, and boy, is it a good one: an early Acura NSX. Yes, this man has class. Rather than run out and buy a clichéd Rolls-Royce or Lamborghini, his first instinct is to go pick up a $30,000 Acura that he has been eyeing on Craigslist for months. It's enough to make us wonder if he'll use his winnings to get on the list for one of Acura's new NSXs when they finally come around in 2015.
Watch White describe what it is about the NSX that makes heart skip a beat in the press conference video from USA Today below (note: video autoplays).
2013 Acura ZDX
Wed, 09 Oct 2013What Is, What Could Have Been, And What May Yet Be
History is largely unkind to losers. That's true in the world of politics and sports, and it follows on with a few caveats in the realm of automobiles.
In terms of cars, historic losers tend to be remembered in one of two broad ways. Every once in a while, unsuccessful or oddball models actually make reputational gains after some time away from the new-car marketplace. I consider the Saab 9-2X one of the recent poster children for this group; a car that moved like molasses on dealer lots in the mid-2000s but has morphed into a sort of hard-to-find, used gem in recent years. More often, though, that which was unloved when new remains unloved with tens or hundreds of thousands of miles on the odometer. Pontiac's seriously misunderstood Aztek has king status here (despite the wailings of oddball fan clubs across the nation), so much so that invoking "Aztek" as a pejorative stopped being pithy about a dozen years ago.
2014 Acura MDX goes for a camouflaged cruise
Tue, 16 Oct 2012While the often misunderstood (and infrequently purchased) Acura ZDX may be going the way of the dinosaur, the company's far more conventional and successful MDX SUV is evolving. In fact, the 2014 MDX seems to be coming along rather nicely, if this latest set of spy images is any indication.
In the camouflaged prototype we see here, it is evident that Acura designers are going for a beefier look for the MDX front end. The current car's pointed and beaked nose are nowhere in evidence on this tester, though some version of Acura's prominent shield grille does seem to remain.
It's a bit difficult to tell if the shape of the glasshouse is much revised on this new car, as the camo is applied in such a fashion as to obscure the post C-pillar design. But it does seem as though, when we look hard at the full-profile shots of the MDX, that the wheel-arch bulges and side character lines of the current vehicle have been replaced with much simpler surfacing.
