2007 Acura RDX w/ tech pkg and SH-AWD -high end model – 1 owner $17999 (santa clara)

Hi dear,

Our first electric car has arrived, so now we have to say good bye for our loved family car. Took a good care of it, kept it clean (non smoker), has all the services with dealership, first owners, the vehicle is in excellent condition. Just got an oil change, and a full check up with Honda dealership, I have the paper to show it to you. Few month ago got all 4 new Michelin wheels (I went skiing in February, so changed it to new).

This is the high end version, with technology package and Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) (means gives power separately for each wheel -- helps in the sharp turns, gives more power for the wheel which needs the most).
The perfect ski/snowboarding car. The 3 rear seats folds down flat separately- can fold down just one and 4 people can sit plus skis, (easy to carry long items, like skis, a lots of bags/ packages). Also, we installed in the rear, a bike rack holder.
Has steering wheel with pedal shifters (can drive sporty); also has navigation system, and built in Bluetooth, and all the car set ups can do by voice command. Rear view camera for going backward.

Mileage: 70K
Year: 2007
Make: Acura

In addition, the vehicle will interact with most Bluetooth-equipped cell phones; HANDS FREE PHONE CALL: The driver can initiate or receive calls through verbal command. During the call, the sound system will mute and channel the call through the speakers while caller and signal information is displayed on the instrument.
10-speaker Acura audio system with DTS and Dolby Pro Logic II surround sound. 6-CD changer; plays DVD-Audio discs as well, also MP3 or WMA files. Plus can plug in external sources such as iPods.
The tailgate opens over six-feet high and rear seatbacks fold down for a flat cargo area. Has bike holder hook.

If you would like to take a look/ test drive, please call

J.D. Power study sees new car dependability problems increase for first time since 1998

Wed, 12 Feb 2014

For the first time since 1998, J.D. Power and Associates says its data shows that the average number of problems per 100 cars has increased. The finding is the result of the firm's much-touted annual Vehicle Dependability Study, which charts incidents of problems in new vehicle purchases over three years from 41,000 respondents.
Looking at first-owner cars from the 2011 model year, the study found an average of 133 problems per 100 cars (PP100, for short), up 6 percent from 126 PP100 in last year's study, which covered 2010 model-year vehicles. Disturbingly, the bulk of the increase is being attributed to engine and transmission problems, with a 6 PP100 boost.
Interestingly, JDP notes that "the decline in quality is particularly acute for vehicles with four-cylinder engines, where problem levels increase by nearly 10 PP100." Its findings also noticed that large diesel engines also tended to be more problematic than most five- and six-cylinder engines.

The cars that won't live to see 2015 [w/video]

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

Every year in the fast-paced automotive industry brings new models, but it also spells the end for some that have been less successful. This year will be no exception.
Japan's automakers make up the bulk of the list of discontinued models for the 2015 model year: Acura is replacing the TL and TSX with the new TLX sedan, Honda is bidding farewell to the Fit EV as the new Fit hatchback takes its place, and Nissan is saying goodbye to both the Cube and Murano CrossCabriolet. Both the Nissan Maxima and Mazda2 exit stage left before their upcoming replacements arrive, while Toyota is terminating the RAV4 EV and FJ Cruiser as well as the Scion xD, and Lexus IS C and IS F that are being effectively replaced by the new RC. Meanwhile Infiniti is finally discontinuing the G37 that was already replaced by the newer Q50.
From our own domestic automakers, Cadillac discontinues the CTS-V sedan and wagon as the new CTS rolls in, Chevy is canceling the mild-hybrid Eco versions of the Malibu and Impala sedans, and Chrysler is killing off the 200 convertible as the new 200 sedan arrives.

Honda reports $1.9 billion profit in first quarter despite sales lag at home

Wed, 31 Jul 2013

Ford, General Motors and Chrysler have been living in a world of sunshine and buttercups after their April-through-June financials hit the newswire, and Toyota is doing pretty good as well. Honda? Not so much.
While Japan's third-largest manufacturer saw $1.9 billion in profits, the 5.1-percent jump was lower than expected thanks to a drop in its home-market sales. US sales also took a sting, as Honda hasn't been able to match the SUV and truck demand that are currently permeating the American market, despite an uptick in Accord sales.
Honda's initial forecasts targeted a take of 209.3 billion yen ($2.1 billion at today's rates), and while a $200 million shortfall is nothing to sniff at, we'd hardly take this as Honda being in trouble. And even with the dip, Honda hasn't adjusted its forecast for the fiscal year, which remains at 780 billion yen ($7.9 billion).
