What I have here is a clean 2005 Acura RSX type S with 6 speed manual transmission. This is a tuners dream the car has only 100,274 miles and it starts and runs good. It has an aftermarket header and cat back exaust it also has a cold air intake. There are some small issues that can be fixed easily by anybody who knows the Honda/Acura brands. Thats why it is the perfect project car for someone looking to own one of these bad boys for half the price and tune it or customize it the way you like. The problems are as followed the transmission does not go into 2nd gear i haven't had the time to really look at it good but i don't believe it's something internal due to the fact that I was able to get it to go into 2nd gear once manually and once from the shifter I believe it has something to do with the linkage or stick shifter of itself so the car starts and runs great but doesn't drive. Also there are no majors dents or dings but there is some chipping clear coat and there are many little dings that can be taken out relatively easy by any trained body man and can be touch up painted as well also the frame is perfect and straight so I dont think it's been in any major collisions plus it has a clean Florida title. And the back seat bench doesnt look like it's the one that belongs to the car. All and all it is a good platform to start a serious Acura project build for half the price this car Kelley Blue Books at $9500 and people all over aren't selling them very cheap so this is a once in a lifetime oppertunity to own one for half the price and fix it and have one of your very own. These cars are very fast out of the box and can be made very very fast by any good honda tuner there is one here in tampa that runs the qaurter mile in 9.9 seconds all motor, so it has great potential for the right person. There is also an announcement for frame and unibody damage in the history report but there is no noticeable unibody damage it was in an accident on the right side but was repaired and once again the title status is clear this is not a rebuilt/rebuildable title and the car goes down the road straight in 1st gear through 6th so for more info or questions and pictures e-mail me at jperia@hotmail.com this one won't last long and I am also going to sell locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime the reserve is low so bid with confidence because I dont ever have any disatisfied customers, you will be happy with the outcome. Thanks for viewing and e-mail if you'd like. This vehicle is sold AS IS where is and there are no implied warranties or promises if you bid on it you bought it but I have been very honest about everything that is wrong with it and if you ask me any questions I will answer them to the best of my abillity

2015 Acura TLX is all too familiar, despite its new tricks [w/videos]
Wed, 16 Apr 2014I'm confident in saying that the 2015 Acura TLX, revealed today at the New York Auto Show, will be a perfectly nice car to drive. It'll be nice to sit in, with plenty of luxurious amenities. It'll be... fine. And for Acura, "fine" is apparently good enough.
I say that because while the TLX is an all-new offering (it replaces both the TL and TSX), it hardly shakes up the Acura formula we've come to accept over the past few years. It looks like everything else in the automaker's lineup, complete with the neat LED headlamps and signature beaked grille. Power comes from either a 2.4-liter naturally aspirated inline-four with 206 horsepower, or a 3.5-liter V6 with 290 hp - engines we've tested in countless other Honda/Acura products. The front-wheel-drive version uses the Precision All-Wheel Steer (P-AWS) from the RLX, and high-end V6 models use the Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) that we've enjoyed across the rest of the Acura range. Really, there's nothing to write home about here, except maybe, how that power is sent to the wheels.
Acura is finally - finally - moving beyond the world of the six-speed transmission, offering a new eight-speed, dual-clutch gearbox with the 2.4-liter engine, and a swanky new nine-speed automatic with the 3.5-liter V6. This is arguably the biggest news surrounding the TLX, though do note, fuel economy hasn't vastly been improved in the process. The TLX 2.4 musters up 24 miles per gallon in the city and 35 mpg highway, while the front-drive V6 is rated at 21/34 mpg. Optioning for the V6 SH-AWD reduces things to 21/31 mpg.
Acura considering Vezel-based compact crossover
Thu, 16 Jan 2014There's a distinct benefit to automakers having their own premium brand. After all, why develop one vehicle to be sold under one nameplate if you can turn it into two? Especially if a little reconfiguration and some premium accoutrements allow said automaker to charge significantly more for the luxury version. It's a winning formula - for crossovers especially - that Toyota has used to turn the Highlander into the Lexus RX (even if the first-gen RX arrived before the original Highlander), that Ford has used to transform the Edgee into the Lincoln MKX and that General Motors has applied to the Chevrolet Suburban to turn it into the Cadillac Escalade (to name just a few of the many examples out there). And it's one to which Honda and its Acura division are certainly not unaccustomed.
Acura has adapted its Euro-spec Honda Accord into the TSX, the Civic into the ILX, the CR-V into the RDX and the Pilot into the MDX. And now that the Honda Vezel is coming to market, Acura reportedly has its eye on that as well. The idea was first introduced when Acura unveiled the SUV-X concept (shown above) at the Shanghai Motor Show this past April, just a few months after Honda revealed its Urban SUV concept that previewed the production Vezel. At the time, says Automotive News, Acura said it intended to put the concept into production in China for the Chinese market, and it's reportedly moving ahead with those plans. But now that it is, executives are wondering where else they might find buyers for the premium compact crossover.
With the Vezel soon to begin production alongside the Fit at Honda's new plant in Mexico, it wouldn't be a stretch to see the Acura version follow suit. The market does, after all, seem to be heating up with entries like the Audi Q3, BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA, and we couldn't blame Honda - pardon us, Acura - for wanting a slice of that pie.
Honda to present HR-V, updated Acura ILX at LA show
Mon, 20 Oct 2014Honda has already showcased its new Fit-based crossover around the world. We've seen it in Tokyo wearing the Vezel name and we've seen it in Paris in 'prototype' form. We've even seen photos of the US-spec version. We just haven't seen that North American model in the flesh, but that'll all be fixed next month at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
That's where Honda will, at long last, unveil the US version of its new HR-V subcompact. The Japanese automaker hasn't told us much else, save to say that the HR-V will, of course, slot in below the CR-V in US showrooms. It'll also feature the company's lauded Magic Seat system, "which allows for multiple seating configurations and the ability to fold the second row seat completely flat for added cargo space."
Alongside the HR-V, Honda's luxury division will also be showcasing a revised version of its ILX sedan at the LA show as well. Acura hasn't revealed precise details of what revisions are in store for its smallest sedan - or a more detailed photo than the teaser inset at right - but it is promising "a comprehensive update that include a potent new powertrain, more forceful, sporty exterior styling and a substantially upgraded interior design."
