2004 Acura Tl 3.2l V6 Fast Economical Luxury Car on 2040-cars
New Oxford, Pennsylvania, United States
Own a luxury car for less. This Acura is in great condition for its age and mileage. I don't think you could find a better looking car inside or outside for the money. This Acura TL has been maintained thoroughly. It has also had the major maintainence items such as the timing belt, water pump etc. replaced. This Acura does have a few blemishes which are typical with a car this age. My girlfriend backed into the drivers side rear quarter panel with her car in her driveway (shown in pictures). This is a $500-$700 repair, to hammer the fender out and paint. It didn't bother me so you can decide if you want to go to a body shop. There is a crack in the dashboard on the passangers side where the airbag is. Car has a few other dings or scrapes typical with its age. Overall I think it is in great condition for its age. This Acura has very comfortable seats, a sunroof with sliding cover, rear spoiler, cd changer, trunk liner and much much more. The tires are fairly new and have a lot of life left!!!!! See pictures this car is a beauty. On Jan-26-14 at 03:29:25 PST, seller added the following information: Steering sometimes makes a squeaking sound when turning hard to the right or left. |

Acura TLX GT racecar to make motorsports debut at Detroit Grand Prix
Mon, 31 Mar 2014Acura debuted its TLX GT racecar at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show earlier this year, and it looks like the racer is set to get its first competitive outing in Motown as well. The RealTime Racing team is competing with a single car driven by Peter Cunningham for the Pirelli World Challenge rounds during the Detroit Grand Prix from May 30 through June 1.
Honda Performance Development is developing the TLX GT with a direct-injected, twin-turbocharged V6 engine, based on the production, naturally aspirated version, and all-wheel drive helps maintain traction. A second car is being added to the effort later.
The turbocharged Acura sedan will face competition in the series from vehicles like the Audi R8 LMS, Cadillac CTS-V, Dodge Viper, Nissan GT-R, Porsche 911 and more. With the Detroit Grand Prix hosting the sixth and seventh races in the Pirelli World Challenge GT class schedule, it doesn't seem that Acura is expecting to win the series in its debut season, but it will surely gain valuable experience.
Acura TL gets its top chopped
Sat, 06 Jul 2013The roofless Acura TL you see above is a product of Newport Convertible Engineering. No stranger to taking the lids off of Acuras - and a bunch of other cars, like this Jaguar XJ and this Toyota FJ Cruiser - NCE says it was the first US coachbuilder to produce an Acura NSX convertible.
NCE says the conversion takes about six weeks to complete, comes with a five-year warranty from the supplier and doesn't void the original warranty from Acura. On top of that, the interior fitments like sun visors, trunk space and rear seat belts all remain unaltered. Customers who are absolutely against the B-pillar can have it removed, but NCE says "The vehicle will be designed differently without the center bar."
To our eyes the TL looks pretty all right without a roof, and with stripes. NCE will shortly be preparing convertible versions of the 2013 Range Rover Supercharged Autobiography, Porsche Cayenne and Cadillac XTS. For Acura owners, there's a press release below with information on NCE if you have a TL and an urge to go way beyond the sunroof.
Acura TLX caught naked in production guise, can you spot the differences?
Mon, 10 Mar 2014Acura doesn't tend to do concept cars these days that don't foreshadow a specific upcoming production model. The ZDX prototype of 2010 previewed the production version, as did the ILX and RLX showcars of 2012 and the MDX of 2013. The NSX concept is on its way to production, as the SUV-X concept is likely to do as well in the coming years. So when Acura revealed the TLX prototype at the Detroit Auto Show a few months ago, we all but knew it would only be a matter of time before that, too, would be produced. And here it is.
Spied all but completely undisguised while undergoing testing, this pair of TLX prototypes (one in white, one in black) looks almost identical to the show car. You might spot a few minor tweaks here and there - the strip of LEDs in the lower front bumper have been replaced by round fog lamps and some of the chrome accents are missing - but by and large, we're looking at the same vehicle we saw in Detroit earlier this year.
The finished production version of the TLX is expected to debut at the New York Auto Show next month, after which it will replace both the TSX and the TL, slotting in between the smaller ILX and the larger RLX in Acura's sedan lineup.
