2005 Acura Tl Custom Type-s All Motor, 1 Of A Kind on 2040-cars

Year:2005 Mileage:5500
Location:

Dayton, New Jersey, United States

Up for sale is an Acura TL 2005. It came with a hydro locked engine so I got the opportunity to build a nice TL with a custom engine. Clean body and over 15k in mods. Reason for sale  is I have another TL and having a daily car the same color/year style as my show TL Is kind of boring. This isn't your typical TL you see on the road, nor am I in any rush to sell. This car will be sold to an enthusiast who knows the work/time/appreciation it takes to build a car and knows what kind of work is into it:

Title is cleared and it's on the road with inspection. NJ Title on hand.

-3.6 ltr custom built engine (TYPE-S engine with forged Rods/Forged pistons/bored/ported and polished)
-a spec front lip (rear is off of the car already which photo shows the TL before it was for sale) (REAR LIP IS OFF).
-window visors
-custom accord fog lights
-rear window spoiler
-brand new Pirelli tires
-brand new XLR8 engine mounts
-custom headlights with Zkw projector lens (blacked out/cleared/switchbacks/6k bulbs/HID/red ring with strip/Carbon fiber sides)
-precats
-powder coated cold air intake
-powder coated valve covers/I'm
-real carbon fiber shift knob
-carbon fiber wrapped radio trims

Car has stock exhaust right now. Picture shows the quad exhaust which is OFF the car - I can add it in for $800 EXTRA).

While I was building the engine I decided to replace everything:
-new water pump
-new talking belt
-new clutch / pressure plate / flywheel
-new axles
-new idle pulley
-basically a brand new engine
-short throw
-corsport shifter bushings
-aem fic piggy back ECU with a safe street tune

About 5-6k miles have been put in the car since inspected to prove its drivable and nothing is wrong. These cars are known for 105k major service and why spend 9-10k on a similar stock TL and have to put 2-3k into maintenance and still have a stock TL. To replicate this TL it would cost over 20k (cost of car value 8k).

Many extras and reason for the "quick" sale is that I wanted to prove that it was on the road for a while and running with no problems as it would be better than buying a rebuilt title tl and then selling "as is"..this car has been used for around 5-6k miles and is still being driven. Mileage on the body is 118k and let me tell you this car is clean. Front bumper could use some tlc from road use but other than that its perfect.

No problems at all and it has around 370-380 horsepower ALL MOTOR. Don't take the risk of buying a TL and TURBOing or Supercharging it and blowing the motor. Anyone knows all motor is ALOT safer than boosting and a lot more expensive..This TL is one of a kind and anymore questions please ask.

You can contact me anytime.

Yes yes I know you never get what you put in the car but I can always just part it out and sell car for 7k and parts easily within a week for 8k but why ruin a fully built car that someone many appreciate.

IIHS says these are the safest cars of 2013

Wed, 02 Jan 2013

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has revealed its annual list of Top Safety Picks, an award that highlights automobiles it says offer "superior crash protection." A new and still more significant award, the Top Safety Pick+ honor, is given to those vehicles that earn good ratings for occupant protection in four out of five areas of measure. And while some 117 vehicles were given the TSP seal of approval for 2013, just 13 passed muster for TSP+.
To be fair, IIHS only evaluated 29 vehicles with its new testing procedures for TSP+ (we'd expect that the number of qualified cars will rise substantially for 2014). Luxury and Near Luxury midsize cars were the first groups evaluated, followed by midsizers in the Moderately Priced Cars category - unsurprisingly, it's only midsize cars that you'll find among the class this year.
Only two luxury sedans made the list of 13 for 2013: the Acura TL and Volvo S60. The other 11 cars on the list included entries from domestic, Japanese and German car makers: Dodge Avenger, Chrysler 200, Ford Fusion, Honda Accord (sedan and coupe), Kia Optima (but not its close kin, the Hyundai Sonata, strangely), Nissan Altima, Subaru Legacy and Outback, Suzuki Kizashi and the Volkswagen Passat all made the grade.

Honda CEO says we shouldn't expect any new sports cars

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

It wasn't so long ago that Honda was known for its sporty two-door models, with models ranging from the Civic del Sol to the Prelude and from the Acura Integra and RSX to the Honda S2000. But look at its range today and all you'll see are the Civic and Accord coupes. Honda has essentially let competitors like the Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ and Nissan 370Z take the place it once claimed as its own. But if you were hoping Honda would fight back with a new coupe or convertible of its own, we're afraid you're going to have to downgrade those hopes to pipe dreams.
While in Japan ahead of the Tokyo Motor Show, Autoblog had a chance to sit down with American Honda CEO Tetsuo Iwamura (pictured at right). When we asked about the potential for a new sports coupe or convertible in the Honda or Acura lineup, he pointed to the current Civic and Accord coupes - not to mention the upcoming new NSX - but said that Honda has no replacement for any of the aforementioned models (or a rival for the FR-S or 370Z) in the pipeline, saying only that the company is monitoring potential demand.
What Iwamura-san did note was that he's a personal fan of the new S660 roadster (pictured above) set to be unveiled tomorrow, and he is pushing (or at least hoping) that it will come to North America. Given that he's head of both Honda's American office and its global automobile operations, one might think that the only person he would have to persuade is himself (well... himself, and potential buyers), but the sporty droptop looks to be about kei-sized, which sadly suggests that it may be too small for American tastes and perhaps not designed with US crash-test standards in mind anyway.
