1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce Convertible 2-door 2.0l on 2040-cars
Rochester, New York, United States
Hello!
You are looking at a good complete parts car. This vehicle was purchased to restore, but when I saw the condition of the frame I quickly realized it would be best used as a parts car. This Alfa sat out in a field for many years and unfortunately took a toll on the frame. The frame is completely rusted through in some areas. In that case the car is being sold as is and as a parts car. The car also has no title, it was lost years ago. The previous owner told me it was a running vehicle approximately five years ago and that the mileage is accurate. This is all unconfirmed information and only going on the word of the previous owner. I have not taken the time myself to get it running. But going on observation only, the car has many many great parts to offer. For example, the wheels are in beautiful condition and worth $700.00 alone. If you have any questions about specific parts just send me a email. Some small bits here and there are missing. For someone with the skill to part this car, or someone who has the space to park it behind the barn and pick at it when you need it for your other Alfa this is your car. Payment requirements: I ask for $250.00 deposit at the end of the winning bid within 48 hours. Full payment is to be paid within 7 days, or prior to pick up. PAYPAL ONLY I will not deliver. Vehicle must be picked up within 2 weeks by the ending auction date. NO TITLE, PARTS CAR ONLY. THIS VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. |

Chrysler earns $1.7B in 2012, revises product plans for US
Wed, 30 Jan 2013Hot on the heels of Ford's earnings announcement for the year that was, Chrysler today reported a 2012 net income of $1.7 billion, up substantially from the comparatively minuscule $183 million profit earned in 2011 when it repaid its US government loans.
Chrysler's good year ended with an excellent fourth quarter that saw net income rise 68 percent from $225 million in 2011 to $378 million. Where are all those extra earnings coming from? Market share, which Chrysler saw increase to 11.4% last year on sales of 1.65 million vehicles. In fact, the Auburn Hills, MI-based automaker out-paced the industry's market growth of 13 percent last year with sales up 21 percent for the year.
The company also revealed an updated product plan for its Chrysler Group and Fiat brands that looks all the way out to 2016. It's an updated version of the plan introduced in 2009 shortly after Fiat took control of the American automaker, and includes such new additions as an Alfa Romeo model, likely the 4C, to be introduced in the US this year, as well five more Alfa models by 2016. Likewise, Fiat will be growing by an additional seven models in the coming few years.
Just 45% of Fiat dealers are profitable, and they're angry about it
Mon, 07 Oct 2013<
On average, Fiat dealers have only been selling about 17 cars a month.
We've been wondering for some time how Fiat dealers in North America have been getting along with just one model range in their showrooms up until recently. Franchisees spent millions building, stocking and manning sleek new 'studio' showrooms, only to have but a single model to sell, the cherubic 500. And even with its many derivatives, the Cinquecento is still an inexpensive model with its attendant lower margins. Perhaps it should come as no surprise then, that just 45 percent of US Fiat dealers are said to be profitable.
Leno samples Corvette Z06, steam cars, supercars and the wonders of Pebble Beach
Fri, 12 Sep 2014While Jay Leno's Garage was conceived to highlight the wonders of The Big Chin's eponymous storage facility, Leno does occasionally get out an into the larger world. Pebble Beach and the festivities around Monterey recently provided a great excuse for a road trip, and Leno seemingly had a pretty full dance card.
In an episode aptly dubbed The Ultimate Car Week, our host takes us through a pretty representative selection of great things to see in and around Pebble. Starting with a ride-along in a steam car, Jay manages to check in on the latest McLaren supercar and drive the Alfa Romeo 4C along the way. Oh, and he takes a good look at the all-new Corvette Z06 (next to the original Z06) before hitting the Concourse d'Elegance, too.
