This car is part of my private collection. The car is all original with the exception of the radio and the engine number does not match. This car was completely restored in 1973 by a dealer. There is no rot and is in actually in really good overall solid condition. Don't be fooled by the pictures, the car is awesome. There were some paint bubbles that I sanded and primed over as you can see in the pics. The car looks a lot better now with the front buffed out and the primer spots down to a minimum "not in the pics". Things that have been recently done to the car: new clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing, rebuilt master cylinder, new brakes and cylinders, fuel system cleaned. The car was running, I have not started it in a while. The body is straight, the doors close with ease and all the electrical is in tact. All the glass is great, window cranks work. The interior is in decent shape, the leather seats could use some new stuffing and there are a couple of small tears that could be fixed easily. The top has holes in it and could use new tires and little things like leather suspension straps. All of the chrome pieces are on the car and can use a re-chroming. The car looks much better in person, its really dusty in the pics. This car would not take much to totally restore, not like some of the other cars you see of the same year. Overall with a bit of love and attention she could be a better gem than she already is. Please do not bid if you are not serious or if you have bad feedback. I take pride in my 100% positive feedback. The car is located in Bristol Connecticut. Interested bidders can make an appointment to come and see the car before the Auction comes to an end. The winning bidder is responsible for vehicle pick up or shipping at his/her own expense. I will make every effort to assist in the process. $2,000 Deposit via PayPal is required within 48 hours of the auction closing. Full Payment Required within 3 days of auction close along with an additional $500.00 conveyance/paperwork fee. Payment must be in the form of wire transfer. Transfer will be made by a bill of sale. Fiat reconsidering Mazda-based Alfa Romeo roadster? [w/poll]
Mon, 03 Mar 2014Alfa giveth and Alfa taketh away. With apologies to Job (he has gone through a lot, after all), that's how things are looking at the Italian automaker - whether it's the promise of new products or its impending return to the North American market. But it's especially true when it comes to new roadsters.
While Alfa Romeo is expected to unveil the 4C Spider at the Geneva Motor Show this week, reports are now suggesting that its other roadster project is being called into question. That project is a joint venture between Fiat and Mazda, which was set to produce a version of its next MX-5 Miata as an Alfa Romeo, and was even changing the design to accommodate Alfa's requirements.
Now it appears, however, that the whole project in doubt. The problem seems to stem from Sergio Marchionne's pronouncements that, as long as he's in charge, there won't be an Alfa Romeo built outside of Italy.
Just 45% of Fiat dealers are profitable, and they're angry about it
Mon, 07 Oct 2013<
On average, Fiat dealers have only been selling about 17 cars a month.
We've been wondering for some time how Fiat dealers in North America have been getting along with just one model range in their showrooms up until recently. Franchisees spent millions building, stocking and manning sleek new 'studio' showrooms, only to have but a single model to sell, the cherubic 500. And even with its many derivatives, the Cinquecento is still an inexpensive model with its attendant lower margins. Perhaps it should come as no surprise then, that just 45 percent of US Fiat dealers are said to be profitable.

Alfa Romeo will go back to being the brand people admire, according to CEO Harald Wester.
After a few streams of news on the various brands in the Fiat Chrysler family, here's the deluge we've been waiting for - Alfa Romeo. The legendary Italian brand is being pointed towards a renaissance, as shown by the brand's five-year plan.
