Meticulously maintained, I have done everything possible to tune my DB7 to drive like a New Car. It Looks, Sounds, and Performs as It Should. Turn Key, You can drive this Aston anywhere.

I have all service records from the time it was delivered. I am the third owner however; I have put the majority of mileage (34,000) and owned it the longest (8 years).

I've learned the more diligent you are with maintenance on an exotic car, the better the performance and reliability. I started restoring all expected mechanicals subjected to wear around 50,000 miles 3,500 miles ago. I started with New P Zero tires, Brake pads and Rotors. I had an issue with a high pressure line and as a result starting working on replacing seals, hoses, lines, bushings, gaskets, plugs, coils, wiring harness to coils, fuel pumps (both), Engine mounts, U joints, cables, power steering pump and Master Brake Cylinder, etc. to make this Aston new again. This speedometer may indicate 50,000 miles however; I have spent in excess of $30,000 in the last 2.5 years to freshen the mechanicals.

DB7

I’ve owned many exotic cars in my life; however this Aston is the whole package. You can drive it like a Go Kart or an Autobahn Grand Tourer (GT). It will chauffer you when you feel like cruising and comes to life when you shift into Sport mode.

 Understated Elegance.

Even Ferrari struggles to match the prestige and exclusivity associated with Aston. This car gets Respect and Admiration from Everyone, Children and Adults from all walks of life view this as a Dream Car. Its look is Timeless and will be admired indefinitely.

“It turns heads for the right reasons. Unlike brasher supercars or more showy sports cars, the DB7 oozes class, its unmistakable style indicating you as a person with exquisite taste. The big 6.0-litre V12, when mated to the smooth five-speed automatic transmission, makes the DB7 a relaxed cruiser, with the potential to turn into Ballistic Racer when called upon.

Minor issues: tiny scuff on lower right side passenger door. Leather on top of instrument cluster tightened. Most of leather is perfect and better that you would expect. Air bag indicator light illuminated (goes on and off). Minor chin rash from driveways. Looks Like New Car in Many Respects.

I welcome and strongly suggest a Pre-Buy inspection of the vehicle here in Carlsbad California. I will be happy to arrange for access to the vehicle at any time during the Auction. Please call me with any questions you have at 760-500-2388 or email me at doctorborkin@gmail.com My Mechanic is available to describe the incredible maintenance of this Aston Martin.

Good Luck with the Auction.

Owners of the DB7 Praise the car. There are several sites with rave reviews below is a link to Edmunds.

AMG-powered Aston Martins still years away

Mon, 16 Sep 2013

After flirting for several years, Mercedes-Benz and Aston Martin have finally tied the knot. Just don't expect to see any offspring to result from the union for at least three or four years.
This according to Auto Express, which spoke with Daimler chief Dr. Dieter Zetsche at the Frankfurt Motor Show last week. AE reports that a new range of AMG-developed turbocharged V8s, transmissions and electrical components will make their way into the successors to the current V8 Vantage and DB9, but that these models are still a few years off.
Purists might balk at the thought of a Mercedes-powered Aston holding true to the brand's heritage. But while David Brown (for whom the DB range is named) may have steered clear of shoehorning in Detroit muscle into his cars, the entirety of the company's current range is powered by engines borrowing technology from Ford, and that arrangement seems to have worked well for Aston until now. And if you're still skeptical, look no further than Pagani and its AMG-sourced engines and you should have all the proof you need that the new relationship between Daimler and Aston could be a success.

Motor Trend pits Aston V12 Vantage S against Jaguar XKR-S GT in battle of the Brits

Fri, 20 Dec 2013

With the recent increase in higher-performance versions of already high-performance vehicles, like Mercedes-Benz and its AMG Black Series, the public is now gaining even greater access to speed and maneuverability. Two of the most recent sports cars to get their wicks turned up include the Jaguar XKR-S GT and the Aston Martin V12 Vantage S.
Both of these cars are the pinnacles of their lines, with the Jag lording over the XKR-S, XKR and XK while the Aston rules over the standard V8 Vantage S and V8 Vantage. Motor Trend has opted to pit the two rivals together for some thorough testing, and it just happened to bring along a few video cameras to capture all the action.
There's nearly 19 minutes of super hot sports car action below, so scroll down and enjoy.

Mercedes to offer SL, GL platforms to Aston Martin?

Sun, 23 Mar 2014

The agonizingly slow courtship between Aston Martin and Mercedes-Benz has been a regular topic of conversation ever since the 2009 Lagonda Concept debuted, riding on a Mercedes GL chassis. Beyond that one polarizing concept, though, nearly every other attempt to pair the two brands up in a major way has fallen through. Only the technical partnership between Mercedes and Aston for certain components from AMG, which was negotiated back in July, has held up so far.
That may finally be set to change, according to an excellent profile of the two brands' relationship from Automobile, which claims that two platforms will unite the Germans and Brits. The first tie up is, not surprisingly, a sports car.
As Aston Martin's VH platform - which underpins every car that comes out of Gaydon - continues to age, the pressure will well and truly be on Aston to find a next-gen replacement to underpin the successors to the Vantage, Vanquish, DB9 and Rapide. Automobile claims Mercedes has just such an architecture, in the form its new modular sports car platform. This new platform is slated for the next-generation SLK and SL and is still in its design infancy.
