Low mileage 2007 Aston Martin DB9 Volante convertible that was purchased new by my
father from Scottsdale Aston Martin in Scottsdale, AZ. My father passed away in December and the car is now titled
to me in California. The car was special ordered in April 2006 and it was delivered in October 2006. It has just
15,832 miles on it and is in excellent condition, as I hope the photos show. It was always kept in an air
conditioned garage. There are no scratches or dings on the exterior and no cracks in the leather or dash.
In addition to the equipment detailed in the listing, the car has special option features including:
Linn 260W audio system
Silver brake calipers
Mahogany veneer trim
Special paint
Special front grille
Perforated leather seat inserts
Front stone guards
19-inch 15 spoke wheels.
The interior, engine compartment and trunk are very clean. I have the original sales brochures, navigation system
CDs, and owner's manual. I have two sets of electronic keys plus a valet key. There are black carpeted front mats
but no rear mats came standard. The standard equipment Aston Martin umbrella is still in it's plastic wrapper. All
standard features and optional equipment are shown on the original window sticker (see photo). The car was last
serviced at 13,000 miles. Tires are good (see photo). I drove the car from Scottsdale to San Francisco a month ago
and its 450 horses performed beautifully with no problems that I noticed other than the hood gas pressure struts
don't hold the hood up.

Get lost in Evo's sublime 2013 Car of the Year testing
Fri, 08 Nov 2013Every year Evo stages its Car of the Year test, bringing the best performance cars in the world to one location for an epic shootout. This year the magazine pitted eight CotY finalists against each other on Route Napoleon in Southern France - Evo claims it's the "best road in the world" - and then proceeded to nitpick the smallest of faults on each car until the winner could be named. You see, this year's lineup of machines was just so good that only one car obviously wasn't CotY material from the get-go. Can you guess which one judging from the list below?
- Aston Martin V12 Vantage S
- Audi R8 V10 Plus
2017 Aston Marin Lagonda could live on Mercedes M-Class platform
Tue, 29 Oct 2013A few weeks ago, we brought you news from the launch of the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante that the British brand, which is formally known as Aston Martin Lagonda, was still planning on going ahead with a Lagonda-badged crossover. Now comes word that that vehicle could very well be based on a Mercedes-Benz M-Class.
When the first Lagonda Concept debuted at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, it sat on a Mercedes-Benz GL-Class platform, some four years before Aston Martin and Mercedes-AMG deal was inked. And with that partnership, which will see Aston Martin gain access to AMG electrics and "bespoke, V8 powertrains," the opportunities for platform sharing are many.
Dr. Ulrich Bez, the boss of Aston Martin, told the UK's AutoCar, "I look at what Porsche is doing with the 911 as its core business and then it is able to do models like the Cayenne based on the Volkswagen Touareg. It is good business." We've said many times that we'll tolerate exotic CUVs and SUVs if it means keeping the beloved core models alive, which has been the case with Porsche. We see no reason Aston Martin wouldn't be able to do the same.
Jaguar F-Type squares off against Porsche 911, Aston V8 Vantage with Chris Harris
Fri, 21 Jun 2013Chris Harris is back on the job, taking on really really difficult car questions like: Which enormously sexy and good-to-drive, high-performance convertible is the top of the heap? As one of the hottest cars in the luxury space right now, the Jaguar F-Type S is, of course, in on the action. Competition comes in the form of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster and the Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet. Sun-loving CEOs who despise test-driving need look no further.
Scroll on below for a fully featured (with a running time of more than 20 minutes) comparison video. Harris does his best to entertain - in a typically nitpicky and made-up-British-words fashion - and the moving pictures are lovely to look at. Kick back, pour a pint and get your weekend started off right.
