Quattro Sedan 4-door 1.8l Turbo Blue Heated Seats Tiptronic Ski Bag Winter Pkg on 2040-cars
Grove City, Pennsylvania, United States
2004 Audi A4 Quattro with winter package. We've owned this car since May of 2006. We are the 2nd owner. The car has been garage kept, driven 10-15K a year and given timely routine maintenance. We just ordered a new Audi A3, so it's time to say goodbye to this old friend who has served us well and was a fun ride. The car has a clean title and looks great. There are very few scratches or door dings on the exterior - and just a couple marks on the bumpers. I had a rust bubble at the edge of the driver door repaired last year before it became an issue. The tires are Yokohama Avid Ascends with about 17K on them. With these low resistance tires, I've been getting 30-32 mpg hwy. My all time best under optimal conditions was 36! They are fantastic in the snow - the car busted through the worst that winter has thrown us. The interior is clean, with just minor age related wear. (ie. ash tray lid is loose, cup holder wobbles, latch is broken on center console, sunroof knob acts up) The air conditioner blows cold air.
Mechanically, we've stayed on top of the usual repairs and we have all the paperwork. All work has been done at the dealer or our local foreign car mechanic. Recently, we had the timing belt and waterpump replaced, a new coolant sensor, a new flex pipe on the exhaust, new window regulator and new wheel bearings. The PA inspection was just completed. Since 2011, the check engine light has been on for the secondary air pump which works, but shorts out. The car has never had an issue passing the PA emissions test, so it hasn't warrented being repaired in 3 years. There is also a faulty brakepad sensor that could be replaced, but the brake pads are good. The light assembly over the license plate is also not functioning. Feel free to ask questions! I will be glad to have you come look/drive the car. Send me a message and I will give you a phone number. Upon winning the auction, the buyer is expected to make a "good faith" deposit of $500 in my Paypal account. The balance should be made at the time of transfer by cash, certified or bank check within 1 week of sale. Local pick-up would be ideal. I have the right to end this auction early if the car sells locally. |

Audi celebrates original RS with RS4 Avant Nogaro selection
Wed, 05 Feb 2014It's been 20 years since Audi unveiled the RS2 Avant, the progenitor of an entire range of ridiculously fun luxury cars, including the RS3, three generations of the RS4, three generations of RS6, the RS5, and new RS7 and RS Q3. In honor of the anniversary, Audi is paying tribute to the Porsche-fettled wagon by releasing a special edition of its modern-day counterpart, the RS4 Avant.
Called the RS4 Nogaro selection, it sports vibrant Nogaro Blue paint, which is similar to the RS2's signature color. The twin oval exhaust, window frames, and grille surround are finished in gloss black, while the roof rails are matte black. 20-inch wheels in a V-spoke pattern are the RS4 Nogaro's final exterior tell.
In the cabin, Nogaro Blue Alcantara suede accents are optional on the door panels and seat inners (black suede is also available), while Valcona leather comes standard on the seat outers. The steering wheel, meanwhile, features Nogaro Blue contrast stitching and is wrapped in black leather. Blue threads in the carbon fiber trim and a special-edition shifter round out the interior work on this special edition RS4.
2015 Audi A8 and S8 get some new goodies
Wed, 21 Aug 2013Luxury car buyers are a demanding bunch. They've got this crazy notion that just because they're spending the better part of a hundred grand on a top-tier luxury sedan, they should get the very best and the cutting edge of what the industry has to offer. That has tended to come down to the S-Class even when it had grown long in the tooth, and now that Mercedes-Benz has rolled out an all-new version, the competition is falling all over itself to release updates to keep their flagship sedans in the running. Jaguar did that just yesterday with its XJ sedan, and now Audi has revealed the latest revisions to its A8 range.
Set to debut at the Frankfurt show in just a few weeks from now, the latest A8 (and its performance version, the S8) benefits from a series of stylistic, powertrain, and technology upgrades. Among the most prominent, of all things, are the new Matrix LED headlights that can automatically lower the high-beams for oncoming vehicles, with integrated turn signals that light up to point in the direction the driver's about to turn. But that's hardly the end of the story.
Audi has apparently reduced the output on the 3.0-liter supercharged V6 to from 328 horsepower to 310 but raised the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 from 414 hp to 435, which now offers a 0-60 run of just 4.5 seconds. That's just three tenths behind the S8, which remains unchanged at 513 hp, as does the 493-hp 6.3-liter W12. The 3.0-liter TDI is up from 247 hp to 258, the 4.2-liter TDI grows from 345 hp to at 385 (with a massive 627 pound-feet of torque to boot) and the hybrid that offers a combined 245 hp and 354 lb-ft. That makes for one massive array of engines globally, although only some of them will be offered Stateside. Each is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive, but thanks to the A8's lightweight construction, it's lighter than any other all-wheel-drive model in its class.
Which would you rather have, Audi's RS5 or Mercedes' C63 AMG 507?
Wed, 26 Feb 2014If you're in the market for a German sports coupe with a naturally aspirated V8, run, don't walk, to your nearest dealer because they are going to be gone very soon. European fuel economy and emissions rules have conspired to force automakers into seeking forced-induction mills. Motor Trend personality Jonny Lieberman is hosting the retirement party in the latest Head 2 Head video, where he takes on the 2014 Audi RS5 and 2014 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Edition 507 to decide which is the ultimate Teutonic V8.
To make the decision harder, Lieberman challenges the duo on the first soaking wet roads that Southern California has seen in ages. It forces the coupes to confront some of the actual weather that the rest of the country encounters regularly and serves to even the playing field somewhat between the charismatic rear-drive Mercedes-Benz and the all-wheel drive Audi.
It really is the end of an era for these coupes. The next Audi RS4 is rumored to switch to a twin-turbo V6, and while Mercedes won't officially admit it, the next C-Class AMG will likely switch to a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. And we already know the next BMW M3/M4 will rely on a 425-horsepower, 3.0-liter inline-six. Let's enjoy these eight-cylinder German giants while we can, and scroll down to watch the video.
