I sold my truck to buy a van, that van sold, found another van but did not hear back about it and got impulsive and bought an Audi, I now know that my lifestyle does not have room for a go fast car, I need something I can pull over and stuff an old dresser in or my surf boards and not worry about them flying off the roof. The Audi is awesome but I found a perfect van and don't want to let it slip away, the owner was kind enough to let me put down what meager cash I have as a deposit and gave me sometime to sell my Audi.
NO RESERVE, sold to the highest bidder
Its a 2001 A4 1.8 with 159,xxx on the clock. Before I bought it the top end was rebuilt, timing chain, tensioner and water pump were replaced, a new clutch, the turbo was rebuilt, it has an aftermarket blow off valve, 19" wheels and low profile tires.(I do not have the paperwork on this but I spoke with the mechanic at the shop who did the repairs and did some research online and found them to be a long established and reputable establishment). This car absolutely is a blast to drive and it can also get good mileage if you keep your foot out of it, hard to do but possible. What the Audi will need, the hood and passenger fender repainted; faded clear coat. New tires in the near future I would estimate they are 40% and alignment at that time would be a good idea. The ABS light is on but when the Audi tech put it on the Vag-Com dagnostic machine he thought it was due to the after market blow off valve which reroutes the vacuum hoses and bypasses a port so the ECU reads it as an error. I only have one key and it is not the flip key with remote entry. The driver seat is cracked on the seat back and bottom edge, and the passenger side seat bottom has a seam tear. There are miscellaneous interior plastic parts such as the cup holder and arm rest and sunroof visor WAthat have broken plastic. She is a solid car but is 12 years old and reflects that in cosmetic blemishes, mechanically the important issues have been taken care of. This car is being sold as is where is with no warranty expressed or implied. You are free to have the car inspected at your expense and I welcome that and will accommodate in any way I can within reason. I will also help with getting the car ready for shipping arrangements but you will be responsible for paying and set up. If you have specific questions or want a specific picture email me and I will do my best to respond quickly.
Vehicle is for sale locally I reserve the right to end the auction at any time

Le Mans champion Allan McNish retires from LMP1 racing
Tue, 17 Dec 2013Having won the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times, the American Le Mans Series title another three times and, most recently, the FIA World Endurance Championship, Allan McNish doesn't have much left to prove. Which is why he's retiring, ending this stage of his 33-year driving career on a high note.
In a statement just released by McNish himself and his team at Audi, the Scotsman said "I've had a fantastically successful time with Audi and feel it's the right time to step back from Le Mans sports-prototype racing and to look at other opportunities."
Just what those other opportunities might be is another matter. He's raced in DTM, Formula One and the International Formula 3000 series, where he won two races in 1990. McNish, 44, is also part of the BBC Radio's F1 commentary team, serves as president of the Scottish Motor Racing Club and is often called upon by the FIA to act as a grand prix race steward. Audi says he'll continue to be part of the team, just not in the driver's seat. Given his success in endurance racing, he's surely got a wide variety of opportunities to pursue, and we're looking forward to seeing where he lands.
2013 Audi RS Q3
Thu, 19 Dec 2013The year 1994 was a really good year for German performance fans, because it was that year when Audi released its very first official RS model (for "RennSport," or racing sport), the RS2 Avant. Recently, I was invited to participate in a three-day leg of the Audi Land of Quattro Alpen Tour, a blatant flaunting over hill and dale of the company's current lineup of RS models. We hit Austria, Switzerland and Italy - the roads were epic and the weather held for this exquisite boondoggle.
Our chief focus on this tour, which included the RS6 Avant and RS7, was the newcomer RS Q3 small crossover that will absolutely never be coming to North America, but which starts deliveries in November of this year. This no-North America policy is because we still don't have enough customers who see the thrill or sense in a $52,000 all-wheel-drive baby sport utility that gets to 60 miles per hour from a stop in under five seconds. Meanwhile, in crazy, drunken Europe, orders for this ridiculous, wondrous set of wheels have, to quote Quattro head of technical development Stephan Reil, "far outstripped the limited production numbers of the business case." Those silly Europeans, don't they know that an RS Q3 makes no sense at all? Sheesh.
Audi moves to patent electric Quattro and active-shutter wheels
Thu, 13 Feb 2014Audi might have a few tricks up its sleeve for the coming years, with the Brits at Autocar uncovering a pair of patent filings made by the German luxury brand. The first is something we've seen before - wheel flaps - while the second is an evolution of one of Audi's trademark technologies.
We last saw wheel flaps on the Ford Atlas Concept in 2013, but the futuristic fuel-saving tech has so far failed to arrive on a production car. Audi may be seeking to change that, patenting the flaps that open and close automagically based on airflow. They can also open if the brakes get too hot.
The second patent is an evolution of Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive. The new AWD system uses an electrically driven rear axle and wheel sensors to figure out when and at which corner the car might lose traction, and is targeted largely at hybrid offerings, which is a field Audi has only recently dipped its toe into.
