2002 Audi A4 Avant (wagon) Quattro 3.0l V6 5-speed Tiptronic 149k Miles on 2040-cars
Boone, North Carolina, United States
2002 Audi A4 Avant (Wagon) Quattro 3.0L V6 5-Speed TipTronic 149K Miles For sale is a navy blue Audi wagon with a clean title. Bottom line is that this car is seriously fun to drive--the 220 horsepower 3.0 Liter V6 delivers a great driving experience, and the all-wheel drive Quattro system means that it handles very well in all weather conditions. Kelly Blue Book values the car at more than $4,000 in good condition. Check out the very positive reviews on Edmunds.com. This vehicle comes equipped with the following options: * 5-Speed Automatic Transmission w/Tiptronic Shifting * Dual Exhaust System * All Wheel ABS and All-Wheel Drive (Quattro) * Premium Alloy Wheels * Leather Heated Seats * 5-Disc Premium Sound System * Power windows, door, and seats * Roof Rack * A/C is cold * Non-smoker vehicle * Tires have good treat remaining; brake pads were recently replaced * Radar detector * Rensi Floor Mats * Transmission was completely rebuilt 4 years ago Vehicle is in good working order but does have the following issues: Small dent above front passenger side wheel well (see photo); same wheel well trim is discolored at base (see photo); sunroof was damaged in a storm but was completely replaced by a body shop--unfortunately, new sunroof leaked 2 years later, so it was sealed with silicone to prevent damage to the interior of the car (i.e., the sunroof does fully work but has not been used because of leak concerns); rear driver seat is stained from initial sunroof leak, and the leather has torn at one seam (see photo); glove box hinge on one side is broken; "Check Engine" light is on (certified mechanic specializing in German vehicles has checked and rechecked the car multiple times and is certain the car has no issues--car has always passed emission inspections in NC). Overall, this Audi has been a very good car for us the past 5 years. It was purchased in 2008 and was used to commute 25 miles to and from school in Western North Carolina. We're only selling the car because we're relocating to the UK and cannot take it with us. :( |

Justin Bell laps Willow Springs... in the dark... using only night vision
Fri, 11 Jan 2013Night vision has made its way into quite a few luxury cars as a night-driving safety feature, but eBay Motors wanted to see if the technology could be used to actually drive the car. Former racer and World's Faster Car Show host Justin Bell grabbed the keys to an Audi A7 and headed to Willow Springs Raceway to find out.
As if driving in the dark of the desert night wasn't hard enough, the car's windshield and side windows were blacked out, so Bell's driving relied completely on the three-inch night vision display located in the gauge cluster. In addition to navigating the track, his producers also threw in a few surprises for Bell on the track. We don't want to spoil too much for you, but based on the speeds exhibited in the video, we don't think 24-hour endurance races will be adding this tech any time soon; that being said, he probably drove the car faster and better than we could have.
Scroll down to watch how Bell does lapping the track using only the car's night vision.
EVO takes flight in BMW's sultry i8
Mon, 15 Sep 2014Electric cars and hybrids are here to stay, much to the apparent dismay of some auto enthusiasts, but that doesn't mean they have to represent the death of enjoyable driving. Granted, the initial run of hybrids in the US like the Honda Insight and Toyota Prius weren't exactly tailor-made for aggressive folks behind the wheel, but things are clearly changing. In its latest video, Evo takes a look at three examples from Europe's new crop of electrified vehicles to show that the future of fun motoring is safe and sound.
Evo editor Henry Catchpole kicks things off with one of the most bizarre EVs of the bunch, the tiny Renault Twizy. Its low power and 50-mile-per-hour top speed might make it miles away from a hot hatch, but there's still fun to be had in extracting the most from this little city car. Next up is the Audi A3 E-Tron, which isn't technically available yet. It's a step in the right direction of eventually creating an affordable, fun-to-drive hybrid hot hatch.
However, the main event is Catchpole getting some seat time in the BMW i8. The Bimmer can really fly -literally in this case - and the butterfly-door coupe offers a clear look at the prospects for electrified sports cars. It might not have the power of hybrid supercar contemporaries like the LaFerrari or Porsche 918 Spyder, but the BMW doesn't cost nearly as much, either. See? Improved efficiency doesn't have to mean boring.
2014 Audi R8 V10 Plus
Mon, 22 Jul 2013Ignore the naysayers who say the Audi R8 is too refined to be a proper supercar, or that it has begun to show its age - after a few tweaks for the 2014 model year, the automaker's flagship remains one of my favorite exotics.
Audi has treated all of its R8 models to a host of enhancements for the 2014 model year that include new LED headlights and tail lamps, larger steering wheel-mounted shift paddles, new exhaust finishes, updated alloy wheel designs and fresh exterior colors. However, the most significant news is the arrival of a proper seven-speed S-Tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission (it replaces the six-speed R-Tronic). The rapid-fire gearbox shaves a coupe tenths off the 0-60 sprint and improves fuel economy for both the eight- and ten-cylinder models (thankfully, a traditional six-speed manual is still on the order form).
I recently spent time with the new-for-2014 V10 Plus model, which is only available in a coupe body style. Compared to the standard V10 models, the Plus sheds upwards of 130 pounds thanks to lightweight manual seats (not fitted to my test car), carbon-ceramic brakes, reduced sound bay insulation, a smaller fuel tank and an assortment of carbon-fiber pieces (including side blades, front splitter, rear diffuser and spoiler). But that's not all, as the V10 Plus also receives a bump in output that pushes its ten-cylinder to an even 550 horsepower.
