2005 Audi A4 Cabriolet Convertible 2-door 1.8l on 2040-cars
Cape Coral, Florida, United States
**Please read entire description before bidding.** Mechanically the car is in need of some work. 1) The car is drivable however the transmission is not shifting properly and needs to be driven in the manual shift mode at all times. I was told that it was a bad control module that caused the problem but unfortunately the previous owner drove the car like this for so long that it caused a noticeable slip between 2nd-3rd. The transmission really should be replaced to make it right. 2) The seals on the hydraulic top cylinders are leaking and must be rebuilt. 3) Right now the car has very little power. I brought it into a shop they told me that it may need a turbo however they believed the cars computer may be retarding power the due to the bad transmission module and be operating in "safe mode". They told me they wouldn't know if this were the case though until the new transmission was in place. 4) The car has a coolant leak somewhere at the top of the motor. Once fixed up someone will have a fantastic car for a great deal. Any questions please feel free to give me a call 239-339-3629. Thanks for looking! |

Tom Kristensen walks through a perfect lap of Le Mans in Forza 5
Wed, 11 Jun 2014One of the best ways of learning a new track, aside from driving it, is to hear someone that's intimately familiar with it give you a good walkthrough. That's just what you'll get here, as the winningest driver in 24 Hours of Le Mans history, Tom Kristensen, walks you through the Circuit de la Sarthe's high-speed, 8.5-mile strip of pavement.
Kristensen is dubbed over scenes of drivers from a Forza Motorsport 5 contest lapping the track at the wheel of an Audi R18 E-Tron Quattro, adding a bit of visual sense to the Danish drivers description of the track.
With the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans kicking off this weekend, this is just the sort of video you'll want to watch to get you in the mood. Take a look below, and then let us know what you think in Comments.
Audi recalls 850,000 A4 models globally for airbags that won't deploy
Thu, 23 Oct 2014Audi has announced that it will be recalling 850,000 A4 sedans, wagons and Allroad models across the globe due to a software problem that could prevent the front airbags from deploying. All 850,000 vehicles were built after 2012.
Audi has already adjusted production of new A4s to eliminate the software glitch. Meanwhile, the German manufacturer was quick to emphasize that Takata did not manufacture the affected airbags.
According to Reuters, 250,000 of the affected A4s were built for the Chinese market, while another 150,000 were sold in Germany. Audi didn't provide a breakdown beyond those two countries, although it'd be a surprise if there weren't at least some affected airbags in the US market.
Malaise Era All-Stars
Fri, 17 May 2013A few weeks ago, we bid a fond happy 40th anniversary to the automotive dark ages of 1973-84 that have come to be known as "The Malaise Era" - the performance ice-age when 160 horsepower was a lot and a 0-60 time of under 10 seconds was remarkable. Like music in the 1980s, everything in automobiledom didn't suck, however. There were a few bright spots. Here are five of our favorites:
