For sale my 2013 Audi A5 Cabriolet Quattro, 8 Speed Automatic Transmission, 9014 miles. New York CLEAN TITLE with REBUILT endorsement. You can register this car in NY or any other state without the need for inspection. Premium Plus trim level, with added Prestige options. New car price: $56,351. Advanced Key for Keyless Entry and Start, Audi Connect, Navigation with Google Earth, Backup Camera, DVD Player, SD and SIM card slots, iPod Interface, Sirius, LED / HID Headlights, LED Tail lights, etc. Very practical and economical with enough room for two car seats in the back and three suitcases in the trunk. Comes with all (three) keys, manuals, service and maintenance records. Had the 5000 miles service done at the end of June 2013 by Audi. I am an Audi enthusiast and I purchased this car from an insurance company with water claim/damage. I personally inspected the vehicle before the auction and I was unable to find any signs of water inside or outside. You are welcomed/encouraged to look at the car yourself or hire an inspector to check for damage. I can provide pictures showing the condition of the car when purchased. The 2013 Rolex 24-hour race at Daytona comes down to the last hour [spoilers, w/video]
Mon, 28 Jan 2013It took 24 hours to run the race, but it was the last one was stuffed with the high action as four cars were still trying to figure out how to gain victory on the track and in the pits. Along with the obligatory crashes, spins, mechanical issues and retirements had come numerous penalties, a double-digit number of full-course yellows and two hours of fog that turned early Sunday morning into a stretch of parade laps.
The final hour would make up for the morning - drivers who might have been happy just to get on the podium had a shot at victory as the end of the race approached, and that turned into a few gambles that paid off, and at least one that didn't...
EVO takes flight in BMW's sultry i8
Mon, 15 Sep 2014Electric cars and hybrids are here to stay, much to the apparent dismay of some auto enthusiasts, but that doesn't mean they have to represent the death of enjoyable driving. Granted, the initial run of hybrids in the US like the Honda Insight and Toyota Prius weren't exactly tailor-made for aggressive folks behind the wheel, but things are clearly changing. In its latest video, Evo takes a look at three examples from Europe's new crop of electrified vehicles to show that the future of fun motoring is safe and sound.
Evo editor Henry Catchpole kicks things off with one of the most bizarre EVs of the bunch, the tiny Renault Twizy. Its low power and 50-mile-per-hour top speed might make it miles away from a hot hatch, but there's still fun to be had in extracting the most from this little city car. Next up is the Audi A3 E-Tron, which isn't technically available yet. It's a step in the right direction of eventually creating an affordable, fun-to-drive hybrid hot hatch.
However, the main event is Catchpole getting some seat time in the BMW i8. The Bimmer can really fly -literally in this case - and the butterfly-door coupe offers a clear look at the prospects for electrified sports cars. It might not have the power of hybrid supercar contemporaries like the LaFerrari or Porsche 918 Spyder, but the BMW doesn't cost nearly as much, either. See? Improved efficiency doesn't have to mean boring.
