Up for sale is an Audi a6 Quattro. I have the car listed as 1999. It says 1998 on the title, but 1998 parts will not fit, only 1999 parts will fit the vehicle. The car is pretty clean inside and out. The seats are pretty worn, but overall the interior is in very good shape. The exterior is also in pretty good shape. only minor scratches and dings on the car. The top end of the motor was rebuilt and has around 10k miles on it. There is no real body damage and the car is rust free. The only issues with the car is it needs a new set of tires and a tie rod on the driver's side and leaks a bit of oil somewhere near the filter I believe. Sometimes it will make a click sound when braking or accelerating. The lcd display works perfectly. I installed a brand new lcd screen about a year ago. They are notorious for pixelating or failing after a while, so this one will be good for a good long time. The car handles and runs great. It is fully loaded, had a cold weather package along with heated seats, remote start, bose surround sound with 6 disc changer in the trunk. The original sale sheet is pictured so you can look at all the options it has. The car blue books for around $6,100. I am looking to sell fairly quick so I am asking $3500 but will consider offers. New Audi TT likely headed for Geneva reveal
Wed, 22 Jan 2014Between the Consumer Electronics Show and the Detroit Auto Show, Audi is creating plenty of buzz lately for its upcoming third-generation TT. Fortunately, we won't have to wait too much longer to see the next Audi TT, though, as Autocar reports that the coupe will make its big debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
In speaking with Audi's technical chief Ulrich Hackenberg, the article states that the 2015 TT will first be revealed in March before going on sale later in the year. Previewed by the Allroad Shooting Brake Concept (shown above), it isn't that hard envisioning what the new TT could look like: ditch the shooting brake roofline, tall ride height and obvious conceptual design cues. Of course, if this styling is more your thing than the two-seater TT, Hackenberg left open the possibility of a TT Allroad or even a TT-based crossover.
Audi may add plug-in hybrid A6, A8 and Q7 to range [w/poll]
Mon, 17 Mar 2014Audi could be getting even more diverse with its powertrains for the A6, A8 and Q7, moving beyond offering just gas- and diesel-powered models and adding plug-in hybrid variants of the three luxury vehicles. The report comes from Indian Autos Blog, which spoke to Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, Audi's research and design chief, who confirmed the PHVs.
The next-generation Q7, due in 2015, will be the pioneer for the full-size PHV movement from Audi, although the A3 Sportback E-Tron (shown above) will precede it. The move toward plug-ins by Audi is a big step, as the German marque has stayed quite firmly in the diesel camp, outside of its racing efforts. It's developed a few E-Tron cars over the years, including a version based on the R8, although it wasn't until recently that production of the electric sports car became serious again.
It's believed that this hesitance to really dive into the PHV market is why Audi sacked former research and design boss Wolfgan Dürheimer, with IAB speculating that his approach was too conservative.

Mention the name "Allroad" to most automotive enthusiasts, and it's likely to conjure up images of the Audi A6 Allroad Quattro, first introduced in 1999. That car-like alternative to a sport utility vehicle was based on the German automaker's A6 Avant wagon. But unlike its luxurious road-going sibling, the Allroad was an on- and off-road variant fitted with an advanced height-adjustable air suspension for additional ground clearance, rugged tires on oversized wheels to improve off-pavement grip and unpainted flared fenders and bumpers to protect it from rugged use. That original A6 Allroad arrived with Audi's powerful twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6, more to offset its increased weight than to boost performance, and was eventually offered with a 4.2-liter V8 before it was discontinued in 2005.
Fast forward eight years, and Audi has introduced its replacement - now based on the smaller A4 Avant wagon.
