The Audi is in need of a new transmission, it is still driveable however it has a problem and will slip gears. The price has been lowered from the blue book value of $8,500 to $2,800 to account for repairs.

This car is rare, not many of the Audi A6's brought over to the US were V8's. This car has 300 horsepower, has 0-60 close to 6 seconds, and maintains a sleek and luxurious image. Average gas is 23MPG on highway. It also has Audi's famous Quattro all wheel drive; you will never be stuck in the snow again. This Audi handles sporty like a BMW but has the luxury of a Mercedes.

This car's paint has been fully detailed and is in immaculate condition, there is almost no rust on this vehicle. The color is midnight blue (a custom color which looks like black at night). There are a few door dings and a minor imperfection in the front bumper on the passenger side. The car also has flared fenders and a wide body style compared to the regular A6's. This body style is similar to that on the S6 and the RS6.

The interior is immaculate, fine leather highlights across the interior. Fine wood panels add to the elegance and provide an amazing experience. I also had full LED interior lighting added, giving a cool lighting to the interior cabin. The rear seats have the A8 executive style seating option, providing 2 bucket style seats with a folding armrest between the two seats. It even has the aluminum door linings for added luxury.

The features on this car are as follows:

· TipTronic Sport Mode (Manual shifting)
· Bose Premium Sound System with 6 Disk CD Changer
· iPod/iPhone input cord
· Full power sunroof
· High intensity Xenon headlights
· Dual Climate Zone Heating/Cooling
· Auto Leveling Headlights
· Cold Weather Package including Heated Seats (front and rear), and Ski Sack
· Premium MSW lightweight aluminum wheels
· Auto dimming mirrors
· 21-way power front seats with driver seat memory
· Premium leather interior
· Homelink System (Garage Door & Remote lighting system)
· Power windows with auto-down features on all windows
· Full LED interior lights (Worth $140)
· 2/3 split rear folding seats
· A8 style executive rear seats
· Audi Rear Parking System
· Midnight blue paint option
· Aluminum door-sills
· And much more!

This car has been serviced for most of its life at Audi dealerships, oil changes have always been performed on schedule as required. Recently a oil change and a transmission flush have been performed. The car has been priced low to account for some upcoming required services. (KBB is $8,500 for this car in good condition.) Brakes have recently been replaced. The car has 130,000 miles.

Overall this car is great for someone who wants to have a high end German luxury vehicle, you will not be disappointed with this car.

Audi R8 bids adieu with the 570-hp Competition in LA

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

Audi is saying auf Wiedersehen to the first-gen R8 at the Los Angeles Auto Show in the best way possible - the even more powerful, limited edition 2015 R8 Competition. This might be the vehicle's swansong, but it's going out with a bang.
Audi is sending just 60 of these supercars to the US, and the heart and soul is a beefed up version of the 5.2-liter V10 from the V10 Plus model. The mill now makes 570 horsepower, a 20-hp boost, and is mated to a seven-speed, dual-clutch S Tronic gearbox. Audi claims that the potent package shoots the Competition to 60 miles per hour in 3.2 seconds and to a max speed of 199 mph.
The extra ponies might be enough for some, but Audi really wants to make the Competition something special. Matte carbon fiber pieces replace areas around the car, including the rear spoiler, side slides, front spoiler, rear diffuser and center console. For contrast, the wheels and exhaust pipes are painted in high-gloss black. Ceramic brake discs should be a useful aid with deceleration, too.

Audi replaces Mercedes as official vehicle supplier to the IOC

Sat, 12 Jan 2013

The automotive sponsor of the International Olympic Committee for the past 22 years has been Daimler-Benz. No more, as Audi has just signed a four-year deal to be the official auto supplier to the folks who keep the torch alight and on the move. Audi will supply vehicles for the IOC's headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland and the organization's international events.
In case you're remembering all the stories about BMW and the London Olympics last summer and wondering where Mercedes-Benz was in all of that, the answer lies in the numerous mouths at the Olympic trough. The IOC is the organization and oversight body of the Olympics - much like the way the FIA oversees world motorsport. BMW, though, sponsored the London Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games, so during the games IOC reps rode in Benzes, LOCOG and its guest dignitaries rode in BMWs.
The Volkswagen Group has other ties with the Olympics as well: The Group will be the official vehicle partner for the winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia in 2014, and Audi currently partners the national Olympic federations of Germany, Finland, Russia and Switzerland. The press release below announcing the partnership has all the official details.

2014 Audi SQ5

Thu, 03 Oct 2013

No Diesel? No Problem
With the exception of a handful of markets (including the US), the Audi SQ5 was a pioneer for the company's S/RS performance line as it was the first model to wear the badge and also get diesel power. Our general "everything is better with a diesel" mentality was put to the test when we first heard we would be getting a non-diesel SQ5 in the US (despite the availability of the diesel-powered Q5 TDI here already), but as usual we can only blame our federal emissions standards. As Audi tells it, the SQ5 TDI engine would require AdBlue to meet US emissions regulations, and the packaging of such a system just wasn't possible, so the global SQ5's diesel engine was replaced by a gasoline-powered V6 borrowed from the Audi S4/S5. To show that little, if anything, was lost in translation from diesel to gas, we headed to southwestern Colorado to spend an afternoon with the all-new 2014 Audi SQ5.
Our drive program had us taking the SQ5 from Durango, CO to the city of Gateway, before heading to Grand Junction the next morning. There's nothing like spending five hours strapped into a seat, traversing hill and mountain, to truly test a vehicle's comfort and driving dynamics. From the first touch of the SQ5's push-button starter, we knew this was no ordinary Q5. As the engine came to life with a deep burble and raspy pops, and we spent the rest of the day trying to come to terms with the fact that not everything needs a diesel. Wait. What?!
