1997 Audi Cabriolet For Sale

1997 Pearl White Audi Cabriolet for sale by Private seller.  This car has just under 123,000 miles but runs with no trouble.  It is a 2 door, FWD, convertible that is great as an everyday car or just to get out and enjoy the sunshine.  Exterior is in great shape with just a few very minor scratches.  Interior is in good shape for the most part with just a couple of minor rips in the leather.  This car will look as good as new with a good detailing job.

The car itself drives like new.  There are a few electrical issues that should be easy to take care of.  The headlights recently went out, but the taillights are in working condition.  The gas gauge is not reading properly, but there is no problem with the fuel tank and the gauge itself should be an easy fix.  There are 4 NEW tires on the car which each have less than 1,000 miles on them!

Kelly Blue Book value of the car is around $4,000 and the car has a rating of 8.8 out of 10.  I have owned this car for only a few months and have put very few miles on it.  The previous owner took excellent care of the car and it was in a garage, not outside, for most of the time he owned it.  He also put very few miles on the car.

If interested, please call 412-999-6272 or send me a message to my eBay account and I will be happy to answer any additional questions.

Watch two Audi RS4 Avants play Death Race with paintball

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

Nothing to see here, folks, except a 2013 Audi RS4 Avant weaponized with a high-caliber paintball canon. No, make that two of them, one black and one white, playing paintball in an abandoned aircraft hangar. At this point, there's probably not more to add than "Watch the video below" while we get on the horn to find out how to get this as a factory option. And the wagon itself, since that's not coming here, either...
But what's cooler than two high-powered Audi wagons with paintball guns and push-button firing in a video set to cheesy music from a bad eighties rip-off of Top Gun? One car can dump paint out of spigots under the rear bumper, the other has paintball grenades. And now we've really said enough. So watch the video, and the two behind-the-scenes vids, below.

Audi looks at the future of transportation for Ender's Game film

Tue, 29 Oct 2013

The forthcoming science-fiction movie Ender's Game, starring Harrison Ford and Ben Kingsley, takes place in a high-tech world. So if movie-watchers are to be fully immersed in the story, every detail counts. That's why the computer-generated special-effects company assigned to the movie, Digital Domain, enlisted the help of Audi to design a future car that would fit seamlessly in the film's world - part of its $17.2-million investment in the movie.
Audi went all out, with Head of Audi Exterior Studio 1 Frank Rimili and designer Björn Wehrli assigned to the Audi Fleet Shuttle Quattro's design, which is so thorough and cohesive that we wouldn't be surprised to see cars like it on the road three-quarters of a century down the line. Rimili doubts that, but is "absolutely sure" Audi will still be around in 2088.
Watch the making-of video below to see all of the work that went into designing a car that will never see the light of day - in the real world, that is. If you're a fan of science fiction or the novel on which the movie is based, head on over to a theater to watch Ender's Game, which opens on Friday.

Audi reveals next-gen TT interior at CES

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

Audi has taken the somewhat unusual step of unveiling much of the interior of its upcoming TT Coupe at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. That's unusual, because they haven't shown us the car yet. Perhaps we shouldn't be surprised - with the proliferation of technology in automobiles these days, it's probably time we start considering them as much electronic devices as transportation devices.
While Audi has long been recognized as a leader in interior design, this new TT features an instrument cluster that is wildly different from what we've become accustomed to from the Four-Ring brand. Audi is calling its fully digital system a "virtual cockpit," and with its 12.3-inch LCD screen situated directly in front of the driver, it does away with the company's traditional Multi-Media Interface (MMI) display in the center stack. Two modes are offered, one classic option with large gauges and another more oriented to infotainment.
Besides electronics, the actual hard parts of the interior also show plenty of new thinking. With the removal of the central screen, Audi has been able to streamline its instrument panel to resemble a wing of sorts, with jet-like HVAC vents that house their own controls. Two more points for controls are presented to the driver, with buttons on the flat-bottom steering wheel and another set on the center tunnel.
