I'm selling my 2006 Audi S4 with only 87k miles. I have a clear title in hand for the car. There aren't many <100k mile B7 S4's around, but of those that are, few are as clean as that of a southern car. Don't buy one with rust starting to show from a northern state. This S4 was bought new right here in Atlanta at Jim Ellis Audi in May 2006 and has been in Georgia ever since. For that matter, it has been serviced at Jim Ellis its entire life, as you will see on the Carfax which comes with the paperwork for the new owner. The car is fully loaded with the Premium Package which includes the sunroof, home link, and auto dimming mirrors, as well as the Cold Weather Pkg which includes heated seats, heated mirrors, expandable ski sack, and other great features. It has an incredible sounding Bose stereo. All 8 books and both keys are included as are the full size spare on matching wheel and both Audi accessory tool kits. The tires are great shape (Michelin Pilot Sports with only a few thousand miles on them), fresh service, etc.

This S4 is the extremely desirable combination of dolphin gray metallic on black leather with the true 6 speed manual transmission. Don't hesitate as it won't last long! You will be hard-pressed to find another that has been dealer serviced it's entire life (and by the same one that originally sold the car), that has both keys and all 8 books, and the full size matching spare with both original Audi tool kit and spare assistance packs still mounted with it. These types of things are typically long gone! Additionally, the car has the extremely high quality Stasis exhaust ($3,000) that gives the V8 engine the performance sound it should have come with factory while still providing a quiet drone-free ride on the interior. As mentioned in the "condition description" above, the only thing I can think of that is even worth noting as a flaw is the cracked chrome trim on the front grill. It's noted in AutoCheck/Carfax as the only incident in all 8 years and just never bothered replacing the trim piece just because it's so minor. Anyways, the interior literally still smells of new leather and looks virtually new as can be seen in the pictures. The car is an absolute blast to drive with it's 4.2L V8 pushing ~360hp and well over 300 lb/ft of tq, all coupled to a smooth 6 speed transmission.

Call Barry at 678--516--1024 with any questions or to arrange a viewing. The car is currently located at my house in Canton, GA 30114.

2014 Audi A4 next car to go on big diet while adding features

Sun, 07 Apr 2013

The Audi A4 is expected to receive a major redesign over the next couple of years, and with the smaller A3 now gaining a sedan model, it is being reported that the A4 might be getting a little breathing room for a more advanced design and improved technology and features. According to AutoBild, this would include a drop of more than 200 pounds in curb weight, updated cabin tech and a wider variety of drivetrain options.
AutoBild states that Audi is looking to upgrade just about every detail - inside and out - when it comes to the 2014 Audi A4, and this includes a next-generation MMI system that uses two digital displays. Extensive use of magnesium, aluminum and plastics will help shave an estimated 220 pounds from the A4's curb weight, and in terms of engines, it sounds like the usual array of forced-induction, small-displacement gas and diesel engines will be on tap, but a bigger V6 TDI and a plug-in hybrid powertrain are also mentioned.

Ken Block and friends race light in silly-beautiful Castrol commercial

Wed, 28 May 2014

How does one make fast, loud, drifting cars better? Well, you can add more fast, loud, drifting cars or you can add lasers. Either or, really. In this case, Castrol did the right thing and added both, creating a highly stylized commercial for its Edge Titanium motor oil starring South African racer Adrian Zaugg, BMW factory driver Augusto Farfus, Audi DTM and Le Mans staple Mike Rockenfeller and some bloke named Ken Block.
Their cars? No surprise, but Block is in his Ford Fiesta GRC, while Zaugg samples a Lamborghini Aventador and Farfus and Rockenfeller drive along party lines, with a BMW M4 and an Audi R8, respectively. And those cars look good, too, thanks to the creative light and laser work on display.
Take a look below for the video from Castrol.

Audi to abandon CVTs?

Thu, 24 Jul 2014

The continuously variable transmission is one of those technologies that seems to make a lot of sense on paper, but in reality, almost always numbs the driving experience. That's one reason why Audi, according to reports, is planning to phase them out.
One of the first automakers to implement use of the CVT, Audi mates CVTs to larger engines than many other manufacturers, which typically install them on scooters, hybrids and small-displacement hatchbacks. But the time of the Audi CVT (which it calls Multimatic) may be near its end as a report from Australia indicates that Ingolstadt is moving toward a two-gearbox lineup that does not include the rubber-band transmission.
Instead, Audi is said to be focusing its attention on the S-tronic dual-clutch transmission and on conventional torque-converter automatics - although the development of beefier DCTs could spell the end of the Audi slushbox, as well. We've reached out to Audi for comment, so watch this space for confirmation.
