2010 S5 Prestige Convertible Navigation Keyless Start Bang & Olufsen Xenon Fl on 2040-cars
Nashville, Tennessee, United States
This is CPO 2008 S5 Prestige Convertible which of course includes the B&O sound system. The difference between this S5 and the others out there is the APR performance package. APR provides an aftermarket performance package that AUDI DEALERSHIPS install - mine was installed by Audi of Nashville in Brentwood, TN. Audi is working on a solution to replace the very popular APR offering and is rumored to be available (per my dealership) in 2015 as a production option. In the interim, Audi dealerships are authorized to perform the installations. This S5 has the APR Stage1 performance kit and the APR exhaust. Most buyers want unmolested cars and that's why I'm providing the background on APR and Audi's commitment to this product by authorizing their dealerships to complete the installations without impacting the warranty. The performance pick up is roughly 60 hp taking this to a total of about 400 hp. The exhaust note is very modest but noticeable when you step on it. I paid Audi of Nashville $5k to perform this installation and have all the receipts to share with the lucky buyer.
And, this is a prior-CPO vehicle as shown on the Carfax and includes a valid warranty, so buy with confidence. |

Audi TT Sportback Concept evolves the five-door breed
Wed, 01 Oct 2014One week after a leaked sketch ran on these very pages, Audi has introduced the latest member of a "potential TT family," according to Audi board member Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg. This is the TT Sportback Concept, a five-door, 400-horsepower version of the brand's stylish sports car and at this point, it looks darn likely to herald the debut of a third body style for Audi's design icon.
Unveiled at the expansive Volkswagen group night celebration ahead of the 2014 Paris Motor Show, the TT Sportback Concept is the most evolved version of a form factor that's seen a slow striptease throughout 2014, first with the Allroad Shooting Brake Concept in Detroit and, more recently, in the Offroad Concept from the Beijing Motor Show.
For Paris, the car being shown by Audi is absent traditional concept car traits like oversized wheels, miniscule mirrors and bizarre interior treatments, giving it a far more production ready appearance than either of the previous TT-based concepts. The exterior, meanwhile, is clearly reminiscent of the third-generation car (that roofline is pure TT), although there are a number of styling decisions that remind us of the compact A3, particularly in regards to the taillights.
Audi waxes poetic about Le Mans
Mon, 12 Aug 2013Audi did it again this year at Le Mans, but it wasn't arguably a harder job than it's been in the past few years. The Four Rings has put together a five-minute recap of the 24 hours in the wet and the dry at La Sarthe, showing a lot of the low points and the one high point that makes them all worth it.
Perhaps even better than the footage are the driver interviews. Audi has owned Le Mans for more than a decade, but none of the drivers take it for granted - team driver Marc Gene said, "I also think that Le Mans picks the winner... At some point, he just decides which car and which drivers are going to win that race."
You can check it out in the video below. And be sure to hang around for the tribute at the end.
2015 Audi A3 Sportback E-Tron
Wed, 18 Dec 2013A little more than a year ago, I drove an Audi A3 E-Tron prototype - an early concept electric vehicle built on the outgoing second-generation A3 platform. While I was impressed with the technology, its 3,800-pound weight, 10-second 0-60 time and 90-mile range will likely put it only mid-pack, at best, among its future competitive set. But Audi promised bigger and better things would come.
I didn't have to wait long. Immediately following the Los Angeles Auto Show, Audi asked me come drive its all-new successor built on the company's third-generation A3 chassis. Compared to last year's model, the new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) boasts a lighter curb weight, quicker acceleration and six times the range. Calling it improved is an understatement. Best of all, it's heading to production.
Technically speaking, the 2015 Audi A3 Sportback E-Tron is a parallel hybrid, meaning its electric motor is sandwiched between a combustion engine and an automatic transmission - either, or both, is capable of powering the front wheels. The gasoline-powered engine is a direct-injected and turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder, rated at 150 horsepower. The transmission is a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox. A 75-kW electric motor sits between the two. Water is used to cool the gasoline engine, the electric motor and the battery pack - there are three independent closed loops.
