Very nice Classic 1976 BMW 2002. Sienna Brown with tan interior.
Car is mostly all original and in good shape for its age. It has not been restored. Car has very little rust.
Minor rust around the rear window area. Trunk in good shape.
I have had this car for about five years. Minor work done. New fan housing. Drive shaft bracket. New rear tail lights.
normal maintenance. oil change and brakes.
Car came to me from North Carolina. Mostly garage kept however the last three years has been outside under a waterproof car cover.
Starts without issue. Does smoke a little. Leaks small amount of oil. Engine runs strong. Transition shifts fine thru all gears. Clutch is good.
Mileage is at 85K however the odometer does not turn. I have put about 5000+ miles on this car. Car used for driving around town, Love driving this car, just can't keep it. I don't think the mileage is too much higher then what it shows.
Car is not fuel injected, it has a Webber carburetor.
Car has most of the original glass marked with BMW logo. Original horse hair cloth seats. All outside trim except for lower silver passage side rail (I have this rail, just not installed) Two sets of keys, original steering wheel (I have an extra sport steering wheel)
I have two sets of fog lights. a small set that were on the car (removed) and a large set I never put on.(I will send all these parts with the car)
Electric all works, head lights, break lights and all blinker.
Dash has a plastic cover put on from previous owner, not sure how dash looks under that.
Issues with the car:
smokes a little. Missing screws for center console and glove box. ignition sometimes sticks in cold weather (stop key from turning, then works again). Driver side door handle a little loose. some feedback from the radio.
Car appears straight with no major apparent accidents to any part as far as I can tell.
Ask any question if needed, I have a lot of pictures.

BMW performance engineering boss wants an M7
Mon, 16 Dec 2013Audi has the S8, Mercedes has the S63 AMG and Jaguar has the XJR, but BMW has always held that an M7 wasn't justified, leaving its associated Alpina line to tackle that market with the B7 (pictured). The chief engineer at the M division, however, feels otherwise.
Speaking to Autocar, the BMW M development chief Albert Biermann indicated that he would like to see the M division do a performance version of the 7 Series to compete with the above-mentioned models, but that there are no current plans in place to do so. Neither did he specify what kind of engine it would have, or if it would be badged, for that matter, as an M7 or an M Performance model.
The latter is the approach which the M division is reportedly taking with performance versions of BMW crossovers beyond the X5 M and X6 M, such as the X3 and upcoming X4. The division is also said to be developing a performance-tuned xDrive system to compete with AMG's new all-wheel-drive models, as well as a potential M3 GT to join the new M3 sedan and M4 coupe with a slantback bodystyle.
BMW M3 driving off cliff is a chilling PSA
Mon, 10 Jun 2013We're a little shocked that the unnamed owner of this cliff-diving E46 BMW M3 would upload the in-car footage of his accident to YouTube. Not only that, he uploaded two videos: raw footage of his roll down the cliff (it looks like somewhere in the Southwest, maybe Arizona) and a tribute video for his BMW that suffered the most severe consequences of understeer. Not only does uploading the videos leave him wide open for judgment by fellow enthusiasts (just read the YouTube comments), but we imagine if the police and his insurance company somehow don't know about the incident already, they will shortly. Scroll below to view for yourself.
The raw footage shows the sort of driving that led to the M3's violent tumble, and it serves as a good public service announcement reminder for everyone out there: Just like the Spengler's streams, double yellow lines aren't meant to be crossed. Also, hard driving is one thing, but hammering on public roads at speeds clearly above your skill levels as a driver is not only a recipe for legal trouble, it's a script for ruining your car at the very least, if not your life.
Is the BMW i8 actually already sold out?
Mon, 02 Dec 2013The other day we brought you a report from Reuters, which quoted BMW's global sales chief Ian Robertson as saying that the Bavarian automaker had already sold out the entire year's production run of its new i8. Impressive, sure, but perhaps not all that unusual for a groundbreaking new sportscar from a major automaker, of which only limited quantities are typically built. But is the i8 really sold out?
Our compatriots at Car and Driver chased down the story and report that Robertson's claims aren't exactly accurate. According to C/D, the numbers are based on sales projections, not actual orders taken. So while BMW may build upwards of 1,900 i8 coupes next year and over 5,000 in 2015, and while they're all expected to sell, that doesn't mean that it's too late to get your order in. That is, assuming you have the $135k on hand and don't mind getting just three cylinders back in return.
