This is a very nice vehicle for the year. It has some minor dents but nothing that a paint job cannot correct. The seats are in a very good condition. Everything works OK but for the radio which has a mind of its own. It might work one day and not the other day. I have not looked into this as this is my second car here in Florida and I barely use it. But someone told me that it could be a very minor 'fuse' problem. There is a converter in the trunk which again works when the radio works. All the other controls, clock, weather, heat, AC etc. work perfectly. The manual roof is very easy to put up and down and can be used as is but the material will have to be changed eventually although the mechanics are OK. There is small tear on the side of that roof and one on the plastic back window. The tires are practically new as well as the brakes. Those were bought and/or changed before I left Ohio to come to Florida (2 years ago) and like I said before, that car has been sitting in my driveway here in Florida most of the time. We did not drive the car to Florida as it was hauled by another vehicle. I have a cover so the car can be protected when not in use. So while it is in a very good condition for a 1997 and its mileage, it is not in a perfect condition. As mentioned before, it has normal wear and tear and other imperfections but at the end, it is a very good car. Because of a bad experience, I will not accept low feedback bidders. BMW 4 Series Convertible basks in the sun
Wed, 07 Aug 2013The BMW 4 Series Convertible will show its non-camouflaged face sometime later this year, but our spies recently caught this nearly naked prototype out getting some sun. As you'll recall, the droptop 4 Series replaces the 3 Series Convertible in the BMW range, and if our recent stint behind the wheel of the new 435i Coupe is anything to go on, this topless 4er should be quite a fun runabout for sun-drenched motoring.
To no one's surprise, the 4 Series Convertible shares all of its design with the 4 Series coupe, save, of course, the obvious roofectomy. Beyond that, the topless 2+2 will use the same engines and transmissions as the coupe, meaning it should arrive in the US in both 428i and 435i guises, powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four and 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six, respectively. Both six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic transmissions will be available.
The car spied this time around has the full M Sport visual treatment, with the revised (and better-looking) front fascia, larger 19-inch wheels, and attractive Melbourne Red paint. Interestingly, it appears this prototype has the standard xenon headlamp setup, rather than the full-LED option that's also available.
BMW X4 slantback is nearly here
Fri, 21 Feb 2014Another day, another new BMW spied. Sometimes it feels like Bimmer is developing so many new models that in the future, every buyer will get their own unique car. The latest one spied is the upcoming BMW X4 that was launched as a concept nearly a year ago. The Bavarians still see a need to camouflage the rear end of its prototypes, though.
As you can see, the production version is hewing very closely to the concept. If you peer around the camo, the headlights have the same shape, but the foglights are a new addition. The rear roofline seems quite similar to concept, too, but the back end is still somewhat more mysterious because the masking and dirt hide a lot. Still, it doesn't seem like the production model is going to be radically different from the concept based on the previous test cars we spied in the past. It also strikes us as very similar in size and form to the already available 3 Series Gran Turismo, with which it is expected to share a great deal.
Our wait might not be very long to see the midsize German CUV undisguised, because the X4's debut is rumored for the New York Auto Show on April 16 with a reveal as early as March 14.
She's just a girl... who's an E28 fanatic

The amateur train photographer has owned over 15 of the cars in her brief lifetime, and says she's attracted to the old 5 Series because of how rare they are. All told, she's owned every variation of the E28 with the exception of the 2.4td, and the crew from Petrolicious recently stopped by to train their lenses on her most recent acquisition: a lovely M535i. The site's latest video, Rare Things, takes a closer look at just what draws Rodriguez to the E28 and how her passion for the cars has evolved over the years.
As usual, Petrolicious serves up plenty of gorgeous footage of the vintage German sedan, and anyone who's ever harbored an obsession over any one particular model can certainly hear a few chords ring true in Rodriguez's words. Check out the clip below to see what we mean.
