2004 330xi Bmw With 139,000 Miles, 6 Speed Manual Transmission, 6 Cly. Motor on 2040-cars
Point Pleasant, West Virginia, United States
2004 330xi BMW with 130,071 miles, 6 speed manual transmission, 6 cly. motor PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION BEFORE BIDDING! My son bought this car on a Friday. Drove it about 50 miles. It ran good drove good. Had the front brakes changed and changed the oil on Saturday morning. My son then headed to Huntington in this car. He called me and said right front wheel locked up on him about 5 files down the road. I just figured it was somehow related to new brakes on front end. I took my mechanic to look at it and the brakes were fine. When trying to drive it it would lock the right front wheel up on it then it would release then lock front wheel up again. Driving it in the parking lot it would not lock-up in reverse. So I ask a friend of mine if he cared if I put it at his place until I could get somebody to look at it.I drove the car down the road to friends lot in reverse. Ran good and did not lock up. when I got to friend's lot it over-heated. Do not know why. Motor will not turn over. My loss is your gain, The car has hail damage not too noticable. Car has navigational system. Leather interior Nice Nice vehicle. Please call 304-675-7773 with any questions, Do not e-mail I will not answer them Just call me at 304-675-7773 and leave a message if no answer and I will call you back! You are welcome to come and look at car anytime. Will need to be picked up on trailer or rollback. The only thing I can think of why the front right wheel locked up has something to do with all-wheel drive. I am not a mechanic so you are buying this car knowing it will need motor and work done to it. It would also make a nice parts car. Nice seat and interior. CALL ONLY 304-675-7773I require $200.00 deposit to pay pal within 24 hours and the car needs to be picked up within 7 days and balance paid in cash.

This Or That: 1980 Oldsmobile 442 vs. 1989 BMW 635CSi [w/poll]
Thu, 09 Oct 2014The last time I roped a coworker into an automotive debate, I lost. Resoundingly, I might add. Still, 2,385 voters chose to cast their lots for the Fiat 500 Abarth, as opposed to 5,273 choosing the Ford Fiesta ST, and so I can rest easy in the knowledge that at least 30 percent of you, dear readers, see things my way. I still like to think we have more fun, too.
My loss in the first round of our This or That series, in which two Autoblog editors pick sides on any given topic and then attempt to explain why the other is completely wrong, didn't stop me from picking another good-natured fight, this time with Senior Editor Seyth Miersma. Last time, our chosen sides were eerily similar in design, albeit quite different in actual execution. This time, our vehicular peculiarities couldn't seemingly fall any further from one another: A 1980 Oldsmobile 442 wouldn't seem to match up in comparison to a 1989 BMW 635CSi.
How did we come up with such disparate contenders? Simple, really. Seyth and I mutually agreed to choose a car that's currently for sale online. It had to be built and sold in the 1980s, and it had to be a coupe. The price cap was set at $10,000. The fruits of our searching labors will henceforth be disputed, with Seyth on the side of the Germans, and myself arguing in favor of the Rocket Olds. Am I setting myself up for another lopsided loss?
BMW 2 Series specs leaked?
Wed, 09 Oct 2013Thanks to spy shots from earlier in the year, we already know what the new BMW 2 Series will look like, but now we know a lot more about the coupe courtesy of an apparent BMW South Africa error and some quick-clicking enthusiasts. Though the information no longer appears to be posted on BMW's South African website, 2addicts.com managed to grab most of the details for the new coupe, including the model lineup, specs and most (if not all) of the options list for the upcoming replacement for the 1 Series.
Just like the latest 3 Series, the 2 Series model lineup starts at the 220i powered by a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder, but the more exciting BMW figures to be the M235i with its 320-hp, 3.0-liter straight-six. With the automatic transmission, the info says that the M235i weights 3,240 pounds and will be able to accelerate from 0-62 miles per hour in 4.8 seconds - making it both lighter and quicker than the 135is currently offered in the US. The base 220i coupe should also be fun to drive with its 180 horsepower and sub-3,000 pound curb weight.
A quick side-by-side comparison of the dimensions for the base 220i with our current base 128i shows that the new coupe rides on a longer wheelbase (105.9 in. vs. 104.7 in.), is about two inches longer (174.4 in. vs. 172.2 in.) and is an inch wider (69.8 in. vs. 68.8 in.). 2addicts.com even shows available paint colors, interior trim options and lists pricing for South African-spec models. Head on over to the forum to check out all the info they have posted, but we expect the 2 Series to be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show early next year.
2013 Nissan GT-R and 2013 Alpina B6 mix it up on track and street
Fri, 24 May 2013
Here we have Autocar making an unforeseen comparison: the Nissan GT-R against the Alpina B6 at Brands Hatch and on public roads. Steve Sutcliffe clobbers the circuit in the 3,828-pound, all-wheel-drive sports car, then sees how well the 4,114-pound, rear-wheel drive grand tourer does against it.
Sutcliffe says there are quite a few similarities between the two cars, but that's really only on the spec sheet. The Nissan's got two turbos attached to its 3.8-liter V6, 542 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. The Alpina's got two turbos attached to its 4.4-liter V8, 532 hp and 528 lb-ft. But one's brief is to be a monster on the track, the other on the boulevard, and if there's anything the video demonstrates, it's each car's focus.
