I am selling my 2008 buy 335i because I am moving back to NYC and will not need it. About the car: It has a service package from the dealer (any BMW dealer in North America will service it) that covers all maintenance (brakes, wipers, oil changes, ets) until October of 2013. It has never been into an accident and has always been hand washed. The car is black (specifically black sapphire metallic) and has a rare Saddle leather interior (peanut butter color). The car has the sport package (sport suspension), the cold weather package (heated seats etc) and the premium package (navigation, bluetooth, BMW Assist, etc). It has 53K miles on it currently. The car currently has a set of custom black powder coated Avant Garde M310 wheels size 19 x (8.5 width in front and 9.5 width in rear) the wheels come with TPMS sensors already installed along with custom black wheel bolts-these wheels are in great shape and have no bends or scuffs/scratches wheels and tires are about a year old and have plenty of tread left. The car also comes with the original BMW sport wheels and run flat tires - wheels have plenty of tread left. The headlights are the original headlights sent out to a specialty BMW shop in florida (it's called OSS Designs-go ahead and check them out--headlights come with the car I won't part them out so please don't ask) they were painted semi gloss black on the inside to match the car and were outfitted with custom LED angel eyes -- these cost over $1,000. This car is really in MINT condition and I hate to sell it. There has never been any engine modifications to the car so no worries there...everything done was cosmetic.

I replaced the thermostat and water pump about 6 months ago at a cost of around $1800.

I have the title in hand.

Price is FIRM.

******FORGOT TO MENTION...CAR HAS A 10 YEAR/ 120K MILE WARRANTY THAT COVERS THE TURBOS AND THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP****

Formula Drift kicks off 11th season on Streets of Long Beach

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

The 2014 Formula Drift series kicked off last weekend in Long Beach, and saw Chris Forsberg, who you'll recall went mad and drifted around a warehouse in an Infiniti M, take the title behind the wheel of his Hankook Tire Nissan 370Z (shown above).
Forsberg really ran away with the first round of competition, outscoring his closest opponent, second-place finisher Kenneth Moen and his Bridges Racing Nissan 240SX, by 20 points. Third place was 2013 championship winner Michael Essa and his Yokohama BMW M3, 30.5 points behind Forsberg.
In the manufacturers' title, Nissan took an early lead with 122 points, which isn't a huge surprise considering five of the top ten drifters were piloting either a Z or a product of the brand's S platform. Ford, which had two drivers (Justin Pawlak and Vaughn Gittin, Jr.) in the top ten, took home second place, while BMW is currently third in the manufacturers' standings.

BMW joins the early holiday advertising fray with three new ads

Thu, 06 Nov 2014

October 31 is no longer known as Halloween, or All Saints' Eve or even as that day when all children simultaneously develop huge cavities. It's now known as the day before Christmas/holiday advertising begins. Seriously, as of November 1, it seems like companies across the country and from every industry have declared open season on holiday ad campaigns. It's all premature enough that we're already feeling our inner Grinch showing, but at least some of the ads are better done than others.
Among them are new spots from BMW, which has arrived with this mini-campaign of three 30-second, Christmas-themed spots. There's a cameo from Santa Claus, who's at the helm of a sleek M6 Gran Coupe in one spot, while a 3 Series Gran Coupe slices through a slalom of Christmas trees in another. The final spot, called "Road Home", doesn't focus so much on the brand's "Ultimate Driving Machines," as it does the trip home for the holidays.
We've embedded all three videos below, so take a look and then let us know what you think of this seemingly perpetual holiday marketing calendar creep - and the BMW ads in particular - in Comments.

BMW X5 driver repeatedly fails to understand big rig braking distances

Fri, 19 Sep 2014

Nobody should be shocked that a big, heavy vehicle like a semi truck takes a longer distance to stop than the average passenger car; it's just basic physics. However, this BMW X5 driver seemingly has a major problem grasping the concept, and it results in some serious damage to the back of his SUV.
The whole incident is very confusing to watch. The BMW doesn't even seem to have a reason to slow down before the semi slams into the back of it at fairly high speed. But to make the situation even weirder, the crashes just keep happening again and again.
To give the BMW driver a little credit, he appears amazingly calm when surveying the damage afterward. But you have to wonder what this guy was thinking when trying a harebrained move like this. Check out the video to watch the carnage unfold.
