Selling our 2001 BMW 540i. This car is a monster and my husband and I love it to death but it's time to see it go as we purchased another car about a year ago and haven't really been driving this since.

- The car has a powerful V8 4.4L engine with a 6-speed MANUAL transmission.
- Sports Package/ M Package

- Anthracite Metallic Exterior/Black Interior
- 147,000 miles (car was purchased at 67,000 6 years ago) all highway miles

- 17 inch staggered tires

- Sunroof/Moonroof
- It comes with a super-sprint exhaust and an AC Schnitzer short shifter that we had purchased new since owning the car.
- It also has an alpine navigation system and a custom made sub in the trunk with 12" O2 subs

- Ipod connection installed in glove box

- Still have original radio for the car
- New battery installed about 2 months ago

This car was taken very good care of but we don't have time for it anymore.

It has a knocking sound which we think is a valve that needs to be replaced

Getting Our Butts In The Seats
Both the non-M BMW 3 Series sedan and 4 Series coupe have so far brought much pleasure to us at Autoblog. The terrific four-cylinder 328i trim has become our favorite of the 3 Series line, while we have yet to get a chance at the 428i coupe. That said, the 35i trim powered by a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder engine is not exactly to be sniffed at.
We all know the ones you're really waiting for, though. The F80 fifth-generation M3 sedan and the supremely sexy F82 M4 coupe. Rumors have been buzzing for a couple of years now that the engine would be another V8, only turbocharged this time, or else a tri-turbo six. Well, today BMW confirmed that the mill under the hood's power bulge is a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder TwinPower Turbo of the biturbo variety, referred to internally as "S55B30 variant."
