( I have all the receipts) Most of the work was done at Performing imports in Alpharetta Dinan stage 4 engine and transmission software Dinan Cold Air Intake Dinan Air Mass Meter Dinan Throttle Body MagnaFlow Muffler Timing chain and guides All gasket and seals PCV Plate Radiators Coolant pipes under Intake Water pump and thermostat BMW coolant distilled water Belts Evaporate fuel vent valve Emission air pump Ps holes Front brake EBC Sport Rotors and BMW Genuine Brake Pad Brake fluid Upper and lower control arms Front and rear windshield moulding was replace All these item will need to be replaced on any 540i with 100000 or 10 years of age If they haven't been done, expect to add another 8000 - 10000 to the price of the car I have already replaced all the common issues 6000 just for the timing chain and guides before they break and destroy the engine

Project CARS vs reality at Laguna Seca shows amazing potential
Mon, 28 Apr 2014Project CARS is aiming to be the next great racing sim. Offering a mix of modern and classic cars on famous tracks, developer Slightly Mad Studios is trying to inject a fresh energy into the genre, and at the moment its game looks ready to take on Forza and Gran Turismo.
The game is still about six months from release, and the graphics already look practically photorealistic. The video below shows side-by-side laps of Laguna Seca in a BMW - real life on the left and the game on the right. It's absolutely astounding. Other than some changes to the sponsorship around the track, they are almost identical.
Of course anyone with quality seat time in a racing sim knows that graphics are just one factor. How the game feels is even more important, and without getting hands on, it's impossible to judge yet. However, consider our interest piqued. Project CARS is scheduled to launch in November on the Sony PlayStation 4, Microsoft Xbox One, Nintendo WiiU, Windows PC and Steam OS. BMW reveals i8 Concours d'Elegance Edition ahead of Pebble Beach
Mon, 11 Aug 2014If you want to be among the first owners in the United States of the new BMW i8, the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance will be the place to be next Saturday. That's where Gooding & Company will auction off this one-of-a-kind hybrid supercar.
The BMW i8 Concours d'Elegance Edition was previously slated to be the very first i8 in North America, but has now apparently been downgraded to the guarantee of being among the firsts. In any event, it packs a series of special touches to make it unique. For starters, it's decked out in matte grey with unique brown leather upholstery, blue accents and Pure Impulse Tera World trim, with BMW i8 logos embossed into the headrests, special treat plates and the signatures of several key BMW personnel on the rear parcel shelf.
Pending government approval, it's set to be the first vehicle in the US fitted with laser headlights, and comes equipped with a special key, Louis Vuitton luggage and a "professional edition" BMW Charging Station. Bunny couldn't out hop a BMW M3 on-track
Mon, 15 Jul 2013Driving a car is a dangerous hobby, and not just because of other drivers or poor roads. Sometimes, it seems like even the wildlife is out to get you, as evidenced here, here, here, here and here. Now, we can add one more unfortunate car-versus-animal encounter to the tally.
Perhaps believing that this bright orange BMW M3 GTS was a very fast, very loud carrot, an unfortunate bunny leaped into its windshield in a brutal accident at a Polish racetrack. Considering the M3's speed at the time, 89 miles per hour, the passengers are lucky to be okay. Obviously, Bugs didn't make it.
The BMW isn't in such great shape, though. The windshield is in a bit of a state, with safety glass sprayed all over the passenger side of the cabin. There doesn't appear to be any sheetmetal damage, at least from what we can tell from the video. Although there isn't any blood, the hit is really hard. The initial point of impact is at 0:57.
