ITS ALL NEW!!  IF I COULD DO IT AGAIN, I WOULD KEEP IT.  BOUGHT A NEW CAR AND WILLING TO SELL IT. CLEAN CAR FAX.

JUST REDUCED BUY IT NOW BY $1,000 SINCE WIFE WANTS HER GARAGE BACK.  YES, I HAVE 4 CARS.  THE AVERAGE SELLING PRICE OF THE 535I IS $14,500 WITHOUT THE REPLACEMENT OF EXPENSIVE PARTS.  THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR A GREAT CAR WITH $4,000 IN NEW PARTS JUST IN JANUARY 2014.

I am selling since I bought another car.  After the purchase, as I was about to sell the car, warning lights came on to service the car.  I found out that I needed to replace the water pump and transmission, so I did.  I spent over $4K for replacements.  Other replacements were all in 2013.  The car is running very well.  Now you have the comfort knowing that the most expensive parts will not trouble you.  I am beginning to understand that BMW's water pump and transmission are its weakness for cars of this age; well no need to worry with this car.

Other features include,
18 Inch Tires
Window Tinting
Front lip spoiler,
Trunk spoiler,
Adjustable driver/passenger seats w. memory,
Ipod/iphone adapter,

The bad if u can call that for full disclosure.
The spring on the front hood is weak and needs support so I use a stick to hold it up.
I am the 2nd owner, had it since 30,000 miles.
The front spoiler is slightly scuffed.

Serious offers only.  Best offer considered.  This car will go fast due to the recent replacements of expensive parts.  Please do not waste my time with low ball offers, I will not respond.  I am a busy person.

BMW planning smaller Z2 roadster

Sat, 10 May 2014

It's been a few years since we heard about the BMW Z2, a compact, two-seat convertible that would slot in below the aging Z4 (shown above). Now, though, the crew at Car and Driver are back with details on the oft-rumored roadster.
The big shock for enthusiasts on this one is C/D's report that the Z2 will spin its front wheels, rather than its rears. A front-drive roadster is strange enough, but a front-drive BMW roadster? It's apparently true, though, as the new model would share its platform with the front-drive Mini and 2 Series Active Tourer rather than with the racier 228i or M235i coupes.
According to C/D, the rumored Z2 could be powered by a range of three- and four-cylinder, turbocharged engines, although it's more likely to be a four-only affair. Power should range from 160 to 230 ponies, while an M variant could arrive with 300 horsepower (that's a whole lot of power for front-wheel drive...).

Dinan S3-R BMW 1M Coupe

Wed, 02 Apr 2014

I nearly shed tears a few years ago upon learning that BMW was only planning to produce a very limited quantity of its then-new 2011 1 Series M Coupe. In simplest terms, the two-door was a 1 Series fitted with a modified version of the automaker's twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six, and the running gear (gearbox, driveshaft, axles) from contemporary M3 models. It was also a return to form for the brand. Aggressively short and stubby in stature but packing telltale flared wheel arches that hinted at its potential, the four-seater was a spiritual successor to the original (and much loved) E30 M3 from decades earlier.
After spending a day with the original high-performance 1 at New York's Monticello Motor Club, I declared, "The little coupe with the big flares is old-school retro cool and deliciously fun to drive ... the new BMW 1 Series M Coupe doesn't target boy-racers, it targets enthusiasts." Yet sadly - and despite strong demand - BMW limited the model's production to just one year. All told, only 740 units made it to the States, and each was gobbled up at a starting price of $46,135, a price tag history will show to be a bargain.
Since I had little hope of even driving one again, I deliberately pushed all memories of BMW's 1 Series M Coupe from my mind - until my phone rang recently. On the other end was a representative from Dinan Engineering who wanted to know if I would be interested in driving the company's new S3-R BMW 1M. A quick Google search revealed it to be a heavily modified version of the discontinued 1 Series M Coupe. As if they needed an answer...

BMW brings burlesque, Warhol, M1 and 6 Series Grand Coupe to Paris Photo LA

Mon, 22 Apr 2013

BMW has worked with Paris Photo for ten years. This year, the photography exposition lands in Paramount Studios in Los Angeles for the first time, and BMW is not only coming with it, the Bavarians are bringing the Art Car that started it all: the 1979 M1 painted by Andy Warhol. For those attending the show, there will also be making-of video of Warhol working on the car - but if you remember the mini lecture that EVO magazine's Henry Catchpole gave on the Art Cars, you'll remember that Warhol finished the car so quickly that the cameraman barely had time to get the film rolling.
With that will also be a series of photos of the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe dropped into noir scenes accompanied by burlesque models, all taken by photographer Uwe Düttmann. It's the first time they'll be exhibited at Paris Photo. You can check out a few of them in the high-res gallery above, and there's a press release below with more info.
