2012 BMW 528i. Options include: Cold Weather Package, Premium Package, Technology Package, BMW apps, and Satellite
Radio (need subscription). I have recently purchased new Bridgestone Potenza tires from Tire Rack, and had a
recent oil change. All service records are available.

This car is garage kept, smoke free, and accident free. I have included a variety of pictures, and included
pictures of any minor wear and tear items. I have the Carfax for the vehicle, which concurs with what I have
stated, except that Knauz does not enter maintenance items into the system. The miles I have driven are about
50/50 city/highway. The car does get great gas mileage as it's not uncommon to see 28+ mpg combined driving. It's
a great highway car, but also still quick around town.

I have included a description of the option packages below if you are unfamiliar:
Cold Weather Package (Heated Front Seats, Heated Rear Seats, Heated Steering Wheel, Retractable Headlight Washers,
and Split Fold-Down-Rear Seat), Premium Package (Dakota Leather Upholstery, Power Tailgate, and Universal
Garage-Door Opener), Technology Package (Navigation System, Online Information Services, Real Time Traffic
Information, Rear-View Camera, and Voice Command), 10 Speakers, Anti-whiplash front head restraints, Comfort Access
Keyless Entry, Dual front impact airbags, Dual front side impact airbags, Emergency communication system, Front
anti-roll bar, Front dual zone A/C, Front fog lights, High intensity discharge headlights: Bi-xenon, iPod & USB
Adapter, Low tire pressure warning, Occupant sensing airbag, Overhead airbag, Park Distance Control, Power
adjustable front head restraints, Power moonroof, Rain sensing wipers, Rear anti-roll bar, Rear window defroster,
Remote keyless entry, Satellite Radio, Security system, Steering wheel mounted A/C controls, Steering wheel mounted

BMW i3 EV continues to shed camouflage

Thu, 11 Apr 2013

As BMW gets closer to introducing the production version of its plug-in i3, we keep seeing the hatchback being tested with lessening degrees of design-obscuring camouflage. Last we heard, BMW is expecting to have the i3 ready by the end of this year, and the swirly, blue camo does little to hide its basic design in these latest spy shots.
We get our first clear look at almost everything above the wavy beltline including the silver roof edges and matching mirror caps, and it can't hide the dip in the beltline behind the B-pillar - matching what we've already seen on the i3 Coupe Concept unveiled at the LA Auto Show last year. Another change we notice is the lower portion of camo removed from the front fascia allowing us to see the air opening and the black, vertical inserts leading up to the fog light bezels. Judging by the "Hybrid Test Vehicle" stickers on the side of this prototype, we can only assume that this is the optional range-extended model.

BMW M5 turns 30, celebrates sideways

Sun, 13 Apr 2014

BMW has a secret, and it's not telling. The brand's M Power blog is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the M5 and is taking a look back at previous models of its Autobahn-storming sedan, but it says that it will end "with a surprise." The celebration kicks off with a short video showing the latest M5 making some smoky donuts.
The original M5 debuted in 1985 and was the company's most expensive model at the time. Still, it packed a 3.5-liter six-cylinder generating a claimed 282 horsepower (286 PS), which was rather potent in its day. The company touted it as the world's fastest production four-door sports sedan at the time.
BMW won't reveal the surprise until it has chronicled all five generations of the M5, but it wouldn't be shocking to see an anniversary edition model appear sometime later this year. Scroll down to check out the video of the muscle sedan celebrating its birthday the only way it knows how.

2015 BMW S 1000 RR looks to retain sportbike supremacy

Tue, 30 Sep 2014

The BMW S 1000 RR is already a pretty potent member of the superbike ranks, but BMW is revealing a host of upgrades for this two-wheeled lightning bolt at the Intermot 2014 motorcycle show that should make it even faster.
The biggest additions to the latest 1000 RR are its new cylinder head, lighter valves and different intake cam to tweak even more power from the bike's 1.0-liter, four-cylinder engine, and BMW now rates it at a claimed 196 horsepower (or 199 horses if you go with the European measurement, converted from 146 kilowatts), a boost over the first-gen's 193 ponies, and 83 pound-feet of torque through a six-speed gearbox. Those adjustments would probably be enough to make the cycle a tick faster alone, but the Bavarian engineers also cut 8.82 pounds (4 kg) to bring the motorcycle's weight with a full tank of fuel to a feather-light 450 pounds. Much of that diet comes from the redesigned exhaust that cuts about 6.6 pounds off the scales.
Cradling that tweaked engine is a redesigned, lighter frame with fully adjustable springs. The bike also comes standard with Race ABS, stability control, seven-step variable traction control and three riding modes. In terms of styling, all of these changes are communicated through an updated fairing with repositioned, though still asymmetric, headlights.
