*Update- reduced for quick sale. Considering highest offer. Just did major detail inside and out, pictures to
come. Car is immaculate. Looks even better in person, no way to capture how clean it is.
Just don't find them like this anymore, anywhere. 1985 635CSI Euro model. Imported from Belgium in 1985 and has
been in San Diego ever since. This was a custom-order Euro spec from a US buyer. I bought it off the original
owner. Have all documentation including original dealer invoice and sales contract, build sheet, import order form,
copy of original title and registration, etc.
Car was imported and federalized (cat converter, US odometer, rear turn signal indicators) with cooperation of
Belgian BMW dealer in '85 and has been registered in California ever since. I have all the EPA & DOT docs detailing
what was done and when. Only 52,000 original and documented miles. 100% stock original. Car is in fantastic
condition. Interior is flawless and nearly perfect. Dash is perfect, no cracks or splits. Seats like new with
almost zero wear, no cracks, no tears, supple but supportive leather. Original paint is excellent, all original
trim excellent, glass is all original and perfect, all chrome perfect, ZERO rust, no body or paint work ever.
Always garaged, has been in climate-controlled storage for the last 20+ years. Purchased and owned by wealthy car
collector who recently passed.
Factory 17" US Spec BBS wheels. Automatic transmission. Glass sun roof. Original working radio in trunk. Highly
sought-after Delphin Metallic over Pearl Beige. Big folder of docs, nearly all maintenance, every registration
since '85, etc. Original CA blue plates, current registration and smog. Runs and drives perfectly. Totally
different feel than the US model, actually has power! Everything works including cold A/C. Tires are 3K miles old.
Could be a daily driver but deserves to be used rarely and stored inside. Carfax available for serious buyers.
At 51,328 major service with new tires, brake job, master cylinder and booster serviced, new drive belts, all
fluids changed, including transmission fluid, rear diff, brake fluid, etc.
In case you are unaware, Euro models had 33 more horsepower over US models, higher 10:1 compression, were lighter,
had the low-profile chrome front and rear bumpers, better exhaust, and of course were unavailable in the US. This
is an extremely rare car and has been living in San Diego since being imported brand-new

Alpina B4 coupe will be your subtle M4

Sat, 14 Sep 2013

We're big fans of Alpina here at Autoblog - the BMW tuner has created some seriously delicious products in the past, and recently tuned the diesel-powered 3 Series wagon to create the D3 Bi-Turbo. What we like most about Alpina is how the cars only look subtly more aggressive than stock, yet they pack a real wallop under the hood.
Take this B4 Coupe, recently spotted testing at the Nürburgring. It looks pretty tame compared to the normal 435i, the only visual additions being the Alpina-standard 21-spoke wheels, modified front lip and rear wing spoiler. But under the hood, Alpina is reportedly working on a tuned, twin-turbo straight-six that produces something like 410 horsepower. That means the B4 should be good for a 0-62 time of 4.2 seconds, with a top speed around 190 mph. Rear-wheel drive will be standard, though our spies suggest that Alpina could also use all-wheel drive here in the B4.
We have no doubt that the next BMW M4 will be super hot, but for those seeking a bit more stealth and exclusivity, this Alpina B4 certainly looks the business. Check it out in our gallery above.

BMW X1 testing is underway

Thu, 10 Oct 2013

It was just a few weeks ago that we got our first glimpse of the next-generation BMW X1, riding around on a flatbed. Now, we have the first batch of images of the small crossover moving under its own steam.
Like the previous round of photos, BMW's psychedelic camouflage is on hand to obscure sheetmetal details, but our intrepid spies still managed to discover a bit about the new X1. It's internal code-name will be F48, and it will sit on the same platform as the next-generation Mini and the BMW 1 Series GT. And for those keeping track at home, those are both front-drive platforms.
The reasoning for the X1's new layout, though, is understandable. Front-wheel drive is more space efficient and affordable, which are kind of big deals to customers. The next X1 won't be limited to its front wheels, though, as BMW's xDrive system is almost a certainty on higher-end trims.

BMW planning six-cylinder i9 hybrid to celebrate centenary?

Mon, 28 Jul 2014

On the prospect of a new BMW M1 based on the company's new i8 hybrid, the jury has been in and out so much that we can't even tell which way it's likely to go. However, the latest reports coming in from Germany suggest that BMW may have something else up its sleeves. Rather than make a conventional gas-powered version of the i8, Germany's Auto Motor und Sport says BMW will make a more powerful one.
Tentatively dubbed i9, the hybrid sports car is rumored to pack a six-cylinder internal-combustion engine instead of the i8's turbo three. Coupled to more potent electric motors, it would figure to produce even more than the 357 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque already on tap in the i8, with further weight reductions to offset the bulkier engine.
Auto Motor und Sport says the mooted model will be produced to celebrate the Bavarian automaker's 100th anniversary and eclipse the i8's performance, with a projected 0-60 run in under four seconds en-route to taking the gloves off to crunch the Autobahn in electric bliss. The new i flagship would be another member of the company's growing electrified family, joining the existing i3 hatchback, upcoming i5 minivan and possible i8 Spyder down the line.
