1985 BMW 735i E23 in Excellent Condition

I bought this car from the original owner about a year ago now. It was always kept in a climate controlled garage and up to date on all services. Odometer reads 105,000 original miles. Thats only 3,750 miles a year! You would never be able to tell this car is going on 28 years old by just looking at the leather interior. I would think it just rolled off the showroom floor. I'm not kidding. I don't think the backseat has ever been sat on. Cosmetically, this BMW still looks great. The paint shows well, panels are straight with good gaps, and all glass, seals, and rubber are in great condition. I have to say, the car has held up quite well, owing to outstanding initial build quality and an original owner who clearly cared for it. Even the original toolkit is completely intact in the trunk. Motor and transmission run great! Buy this car with no worries as it's been completley checked from head to toe by a certified European/Foriegn car repair shop. She has zero issues as I had fixed any concerns that came up after diagnostics. I hate to sell her but i've got my eye on a 57 chevy and need some extra cash!

Options and Equipment:

A/C, Anti-Lock Brakes, Aluminum/Alloy Wheels, AM-FM Stereo, Cruise Control, CD Player, Fog Lights, Leather Upholstry, Power Door Locks, Power Seats, Power Steering, Power Windows, Rear Window Defogger, Sun Roof, Spoiler

The BMW 7-series has been the flagship of the German automaker's lineup since its introduction in 1977. The first-generation E23 ran for ten years and was among the first luxury cars geared toward performance-oriented drivers. Do you want complete isolation from the road? Go with an S-class Benz. Do you want great steering and brake feel, relatively flat cornering, excellent feedback from the road and just the right amount of damping? Well, that's been BMW's secret recipe for the last 35 years, combining refined ride quality with sporting handling characteristics.

There aren't many nice ones left; most fell into the wrong hands long ago, so well-preserved examples like this one are fast becoming classics.

Check out 90 years of BMW Motorrad in 90 seconds

Tue, 12 Mar 2013

After ninety years in business and first-to-market motorcycle innovations like the one-piece 'tunnel' crankcase, hydraulically dampened front forks and full fairings, as well as that trademark boxer engine, BMW Motorrad is celebrating its nonagenarian status with a video: You can follow the ride on BMW motorcycles from 1923 to now in just 90 seconds.
Okay, so there's more than a video - some anniversary-themed bikes and a new retro boxer model celebrating the R 32 "airhead' from 1923 also commemorate the occasion. But you can start with the video, and that's below.

2013 BMW M6 Coupe

Wed, 12 Jun 2013

The Act And The Exclamation
The 2013 BMW M6 is a rolling obscenity - one that begins with the capital letter "F." It is both the act and the exclamation, the curse and the encouragement. It courts no logic. It is all want and no need, and it is unbecoming of the BMW roundel. Whereas the brand's products once strove to unite man and machine in a duet of blissful performance, the M6 seems built solely to stand between the driver and the road. You are very clearly in its way every second you're behind the wheel, slowing it down and generally being the Monday morning to its two-day trance festival. It's clear this car is very fast, but it has no interest in making you fast in the way that the M3 or even the M5 are wont to do.
But somehow, all that doesn't stop the car from stoking every last lick of lust in your gut. A 560-horsepower twin-turbocharged V8 will do that for you.

Mercedes leads in US luxury car thefts

Wed, 31 Jul 2013

Mercedes-Benz makes some fine automobiles. The Silver Arrow'd cars are so good, apparently, that thieves can't help but try to steal them. The German brand is at the top of the charts for luxury car thefts in the US, according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau, with New York City leading the way. (And those New Yorkers complain about Detroit being bad!)
The C-Class was the most stolen model, with 485 ganked between 2009 and 2012 in NYC alone, while the E-Class and S-Class (which also boasted the worst recovery rate, at 59 percent) both finished in the top ten. Following the C-Class was the BMW 3 Series and Infiniti G. Not surprisingly, each of these were the most common models in their respective lineups. Los Angeles and Miami are also prime hotspots for luxury car thefts, according to the Detroit News report.
While getting your car stolen is pretty awful, there was one inspiring statistic compiled by the NICB - the average recovery rate across the board was 84 percent, with the Cadillac CTS getting recovered 91 percent of the time.
