1994 BMW 750il - Fully loaded vehicle KBB at fair condition is $2,850.00
I drive this car every day and would not hesitate to take it on a road trip.
I have driven it round trip from So Cal to Mammoth in one day - no issues.
I have listed to the best of my ability all of the mechanical issues that I have with this car.
I don't have the time or patience to spend fixing this car up to its potential.
It is just about 20 years old so the leather seats are a worn in and there are some scuffs.
The interior wood trim is all intact - there are some little hairline cracks in the driver door trim - but it is not separating at all.
It likes to warm up a bit before driving (when it's cold it likes a good minute or two at 1500 RPM).
Clear coat is peeling - dent under trunk lid on passenger side, dent on rear passenger door
On the freeway this car flies. It is responsive and I love taking it on road trips - no hesitation in this vehicle if you need to pass.
I love this car but I just don't have the time or energy to fix it up.
Pink slip on hand. Registered through September 2013
Contact me with any questions.
One headlight doesn't work (wire needs replacing), needs to be warmed up when it is cold and I believe it has an exhaust leak, AC doesn't work and many interior lights don't work either - I believe this will be remedied with some electrical work. Door locks aren't working (probably need to take the door panels off and do some tune ups) and back passenger door doesn't latch tight (latch needs something). Also front suspension needs reconditioning. Needs front bumper trim and one rear tail light lens is broken (light works).

Updated BMW X6 spied running the 'Ring in Germany
Tue, 22 Oct 2013Following the debut of the X5 earlier this year, it shouldn't come as a shock that BMW is testing an updated X6 in its homeland. The Munich-based manufacturer trekked to the Nürburgring to test the lifted, four-door coupe it calls a Sports Activity Vehicle, while also giving us our first peak as to what the future holds for one of the weirder models in the brand's stable.
Mainly, we can safely expect the next X6 to get the same range of refinements made to its platform-mate, the X5, which debuted earlier this year. If we're lucky, that could mean an X6 sDrive35i, complete with rear-wheel drive with which to fling the big SAV about. Adding a rear-drive option could also broaden its admittedly limited appeal by lowering the cost of entry, which could serve the pricier X6 well. As a point of reference, the X5 sDrive35i is priced at $2,300 below an xDrive all-wheel-drive-equipped model.
The X6's top-flight xDrive50i model should get the same 45-horsepower bump as the X5 xDrive50i, thanks to refinements to its twin-turbocharged, 4.4-liter V8, while the 3.0-liter, turbocharged six-pot should remain unchanged. We wouldn't hold our breath for an X6 diesel to arrive, although weirder stuff has happened. Like the X5, though, this should be a pretty slim refit that improves an already competent package to go along with an expected increase in price.
2015 BMW i8 sets everyone's tongues wagging in Northern Michigan
Fri, 31 Oct 2014Like few other cars we can remember, people want to talk about the 2015 BMW i8. Drive one, and you'll soon find out what we mean. They stop you at gas stations. They accost you in Walgreen's parking lots. They stream out of neighborhood bars, beers in hand.
At least, that was our experience this week during Autoblog's Technology of the Year testing. We had the pleasure of driving the plug-in hybrid BMW sports car up to and around Petoskey, MI, a resort town where seeing such exotics is rare enough, let alone in the off season. It made for some interesting conversations - so we began writing down some of the comments the butterfly-doored coupe inspired. Here's a sampling:
"Wanna race for pinks? I'll go easy on you." - Acne-covered teenage pizza delivery driver in a sad-looking Ford Taurus parked at a Valero gas station near Grayling (which incidentally didn't actually have gas).
BMW-Toyota sports car heading towards Tokyo debut
Mon, 20 May 2013Earlier this year, BMW and Toyota confirmed a four-part joint venture mostly focusing on increasing improving vehicle efficiency using fuel cells, lightweight materials and better battery technology. Also tucked into the announcement was a "feasibility study" for a shared platform to underpin a future midsize "sports vehicle."
In terms of the latter, it seems that things have stepped up from the feasibility stage to the conceptual stage, as Motor Trend reports we could see a pair of new sports car concepts debut later this year in at the Tokyo Motor Show. There isn't much information about the new program, but the article suggests the sports cars could be all-wheel drive hybrids, with electric motors powering the front wheels and a gas engine powering the rear wheels. While a partnership between Toyota and BMW might not lend itself to a catchy portmanteau like "Toyobaru," here's hoping it will bear fruit that is as exciting as the ones produced by the Toyota/Subaru tie up.
