1996 Bmw M3 Gorgeous, 102k, Dinan, Uuc, No Rust! No Reserve!!! on 2040-cars
Brookfield, Wisconsin, United States
Hello all,
This is my 1996 M3. It is a Colorado car with a clean, accident free, carfax! Not driven in the winter, so it is NOT RUSTY AT ALL!!! I haven't had the car too long. I bought it to enjoy for the summer, and now I am just putting it out there to see if anyone else wants to finish off the last few nice months with it. It has very low original miles at 102,350!! It has the Sport black Vader leather interior that is in VERY NICE SHAPE with no rips or tears. The headliner is in great shape and isn't sagging like most do from this era. The car also has a BMW factory spoiler that was factory painted and installed when the car was new. It is really hard to find a nice E36 with this low of miles with no rust, so please don't low ball me! I am a BMWCCA member with multiple BMW's, and know what I have. The upgrades are as follows: Dinan Stage 1 UUC Stainless Steel Exhaust AES Cold Air intake with insulated engine bay enclosure (nice, not the cheap kind) H&R front and rear sway bars TC Kline racing coil over suspension kit UUC short shift linkage UUC Lightened flywheel with BRAND NEW M5 clutch! Brakes are at 80% remaining Tires are Bridgestone Potenzas at 70% remaining BMW X-Brace I have done the following work to the car and I have the receipts for the recent work as well totaling over $3,175!!! Clutch replacement including: Pilot Bearing Clutch Pivot Pin M5 clutch, pressure plate Rear main seal, Transmission and Differential fluid change New OEM Brake duct New VANOS line New front wheel hub assembly (with bearing) Hood struts New Air Mass Meter Boot New Power Steering Line New Rear Sway Bar Links New rear Differential mount New CV Joint Gasket at Differential New Belts Balanced wheels / tires 09/04 I also have some receipts from the previous owner which includes what he paid for it in 2006 - $18,377!! This car is tight, clean, well sorted and upgraded. I already have another daily driver so this has only been driven in the sunshine - no rain days. Please feel free to give me a call or shoot me a text to set up a time to see the car, or if you would like to see more photos. Thanks Chris 414 - five eight seven - 1789 |

M-fographic breaks down the history of BMW performance machinery
Fri, 18 Oct 2013Few characters carry the kind of clout among performance enthusiasts as the letter M. For 35 years now, that one letter has adorned over 300,000 BMWs, each tuned to deliver a higher degree of performance than the stock models on which they're based.
The M division has worked up nearly 100 different models over the past third of a century, which can leave even the most expert among Bimmer fanatics bewildered. Fortunately British auto loan service Carfinance247 has commissioned this handy infographic to make sense of it all, and you can check it out below to see what the letter M really stands for.
2016 BMW X1 will be second model on company's front-drive platform
Fri, 08 Aug 2014BMW is putting a lot of its chips on the success of its forthcoming front-wheel drive models, and it's making a big bet on the company's future in hoping that customers will accept them. Its front-driving UKL platform is underpinning not just the current crop of Minis but a host of BMW vehicles too. The rollout starts with the 2 Series Active Tourer in Europe later this year. But the Bavarian brand confirms to Automotive News Europe that the next one is the X1 crossover, slated to come to Europe next June. It will also be joined by the X2 next summer, confirming earlier rumors about the fashionable CUV's existence.
As the previous spy photos suggest, the X1 is even smaller than the current model, and it supposedly uses the same crop of turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder and 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines as Mini. But according to Automotive News Europe, the little guy is getting an extended, three-row version for the US, Russia and China. Like with the X4 or X6, the X2 shares most of the mechanical parts with its more conventional-looking sibling but features sleeker styling.
To make all of these UKL-based models possible, BMW is sharing development among them as much as is practical. According to Automotive News Europe, the next generations of the Mini Countryman, Clubman, X1 and X2 share the same electrical systems, drivetrains and more. Adding in the Active Tourer and still mysterious Family Active Sports Tourer to the mix, and the result is a big gamble that needs to go Bimmer's way.
World Car of the Year finalists announced
Fri, 07 Mar 2014To say the 2014 Geneva Motor Show was packed full of news is an understatement as big as the show's home at the Palexpo convention center. Despite everything that we were able to cover during this year's show, there's still more coming out of Switzerland, including the announcement of the finalists for the 2014 World Car of the Year Awards.
We reported on the original list of finalists over three weeks ago, and now, that initial list has been pared down to three finalists for each of the five awards. The finalists were announced at a press conference by frequent Autoblog contributor and co-chair of the awards, Matt Davis (above).
The finalists for the overall title of 2014 World Car of the Year are the Audi A3, the BMW 4 Series and the Mazda3. The World Luxury Car of the Year will be either the Bentley Flying Spur, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class or the Land Rover Range Rover Sport, while the Performance Car of the Year will be awarded to the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, the Ferrari 458 Speciale or the Porsche 911 GT3 (which, um, yeah...).
