1999 Bmw E36 M3 Convertible! on 2040-cars
Albany, New York, United States
For sale I have a beautiful RARE 1999 e36 M3 convertible! This is the last year of the e36 chassis and a very collectable/valuble vehicle!
The car starts, runs and drives absolutely flawless with no issues at all. I would take this car on 1,000 mile road trip without hesitation. Exterior condition of the car is near mint condition aside from minor rock chips on front bumper/hood area from normal driving, not bad at all though. Interior is in great shape for the year with no rips at all, but overall does show some signs of age. The car is an automatic with 169k miles on it and runs like a car with 50k miles on it. THE OTHER DAY, SOMEONE CUT OUT THE REAR WINDOW OF THE CONVERTIBLE TOP.. WHOEVER DID IT WAS A PROFESSIONAL AND DID IT NICE AND NEAT, BUT THE REAR WINDOW IS MISSING AND WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. The top only goes up and down manually as the rear motor in the trunk is seized up.. I am not sure if you can get just a rear window for this car, but worse case, a new complete top is $250 here on ebay and a top motor is less then $200 used. This car books for over $10,000, heres your chance to get a rare and super clean example as BMW's ultimate driving machine! We take cash, loan checks, personal checks (have to clear before you take possession of vehicle) bank wires, paypal transfers and major credit cards. FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME DIRECTLY AT 518 242 6085 Shipping is the buyers responsibility however I have shipped and helped ship dozens of vehicles in the past and have established great wholesale rates.. I can usually have a vehicle delivered to your front door for $500 or less. I can also pick a buyer up at the nearest airport so you can drive the car home yourself. |

134K BMW 5 Series recalled for taillight issue
Fri, 20 Sep 2013BMW is voluntarily recalling 134,100 cars due to a faulty ground terminal in the taillight bulb carriers, causing the sudden failure of brake lights, turn signals and reverse lights. The recall covers 2008 through 2010 5 Series models produced between March 1, 2007 and December 31, 2009, and includes everything from the 528i to the mighty, V10-powered M5. It's unclear if this recall is limited to sedans or extends to the 5-Series Touring.
There have been no reported cases of injuries, fatalities or crashes associated with the taillight issue. BMW will be issuing recall notices to affected owners in the coming weeks, asking them to report to dealers so that the bulb carriers on the taillights can be replaced. All repairs are, naturally, free of charge. Scroll down for the official recall notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
BMW 2 Series caught uncovered during shoot
Thu, 16 May 2013Before we know it, the BMW 1 Series will be no more in the United States. Well, sort of. The current six-year-old coupe and convertible will be replaced by the fancy new 2 Series you see here, spotted completely uncovered during a photo shoot, with the 1 Series nomenclature being reserved for the hatchback and GT models that might not ever make it Stateside.
The roofline of the new 2 Series doesn't appear to have to changed all that much from the current 1 Series coupe, but the front and rear fascias have indeed been smoothed out. (Truth time: As much as your author adores the 1 Series, he's always found its rear end to be, well, weird.) It looks good, seen here in M235i guise, with large wheels, slimmer headlamps and large air intakes on either side of the front fascia.
The 2 Series is expected to come to the States, likely in M235i and 228i variants, though rumors suggest that we won't get a non-M 235i model. The M235i is expected to be powered by the N55 turbocharged inline-six that we currently enjoy in the 335i sedan, producing something like 320 horsepower. The 228i, unsurprisingly, should use the 2.0-liter turbo-four from the 328i, making around 240 hp. Both engines will almost certainly employ eight-speed automatic transmissions and six-speed manuals.
