Car has never seen snow, and barely even the rain. The undercarriage is so clean you could practically eat off of it! This car is in like-new condition: I promise you will not find another M3 of this year in better condition. Detailed inside and out THREE times a year. Garage kept.
Car is LOADED with every package, including a fully automatic rear sunshade, premium sound system with 10+ speakers. Car has the BMW I-drive display screen for your navigation, track list from your ipod, iphone etc. Most importantly it has the beautiful Fox Red interior/leather- in like-new condition with very minor wear on the drivers seat. Tires have around 50% tread left. Recent oil change. Next one is due 10k miles from now. Perfect mechanical condition- needs nothing. No error lights on in dash, service is up to date.

Upgrades:
1)Megan Racing axle-back mufflers and an X pipe with dual resonators (cats deleted)- nearly $4000. You will fall in love with the sound of this car!! It has a deep, V8 throaty sound with a hint of exotic thrown in there. I have never heard a car that can compare. It turns heads absolutely everywhere i go.
2) Adjustable H&R coilover suspension. $3500. This is what makes the car stand out from any other. It has a perfect stance, wheels are slightly tucked under the fenders. Does not rub. You can adjust the ride height simply by taking off the wheel and using a wrench to raise/ lower the suspension if you wish.
3) Black grills, black sidemarkers, Front lip/spoiler (really changed the look of the car) - $1000 estimated
4) Wired for subwoofers
5) K&N drop-in air filter
6) 6000k angel eye bulbs. This really improves the look of the angel-eye rings in the headlights compared to the ugly yellow ones that comes with it from the factory. Bulbs only. It has a crisp white look to match the headlights
7) 20% tinted windows all around

Two rare Alpina BMWs given the Petrolicious treatment

Tue, 22 Jan 2013

Alpina is getting more and more ink because of because of that rolling cannonade known as the B7 and its closer ties with BMW. The company's tuning business dates to 1962 when Burkard Bovensiepen began fiddling with Weber carburetors, then his company began racing in 1968 and was eventually certified as an automaker in 1983.
Two of its rarer specimens from those early years have gotten a glance from the folks at Petrolicious: the E24 B10 and E24 B7S. Based on the BMW 6 Series, the Alpina versions made one of the most special coupes from the Eighties even more so. According to the video, there were only 44 B10s made, and the turbocharged, 333-horsepower B7S - this was in a luxury coupe in 1982, mind you - saw only 33 examples produced.
You won't be sorry to find out more about them - and see how they run - in the Petrolicious video below.

BMW's Quandt family in hot water over Merkel campaign contributions

Sun, 20 Oct 2013

The mysterious and elusive Quandt family is in hot water again, nearly two years after its Nazi connections during World War II were exposed. The German family's patriarch, Herbert Quandt, nearly single-handedly saved BMW from being bought out by Daimler-Benz in 1959. Now, three living family members own nearly half of the German brand, and stand accused of buying votes with donations to the party of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, mere days ahead of a European Union vote that would cap vehicle emissions.
Merkel's conservative Christian Democratic Union accepted three donations, one from each shareholding member of the Quandt family.
Merkel's conservative Christian Democratic Union accepted three donations, one from each shareholding member of the Quandt family, totaling 690,000 euros ($935,000), on October 9. The CDU, for what it's worth, claim the donations weren't related to any political decisions and that the family have been donors for years. A Quandt family spokesperson, meanwhile, said that the family had been waiting for Germany's September 22 elections to pass before making a large contribution to the CDU.

History of BMW touring cars looks splendid in Adrenalin trailer

Wed, 15 Oct 2014

More high-quality documentaries about the history of motorsports are always welcome. When thinking about racing, we generally focus on moving forward to go a little faster or shave a tenth of a second off a lap. There's not much time to look backward. It's too bad, because there are so many fantastic stories from the sport's history. Thankfully, an upcoming doc is taking on the challenge of telling some of these tales, and it looks like a movie not to miss, especially for BMW fans.
Adrenalin - The BMW Touring Car Story mixes high-quality, vintage footage with new interviews from many of the drivers of these machines to craft what looks like a fantastic experience. Covering the period from the '60s to the modern DTM era, just the trailer shows racing from the 2002, 3.0 CSL and of course the E30 chassis M3 of the '80s. You also get to hear from legends behind the wheel like Hans-Joachim Stuck, Johnny Cecotto and Joachim Winkelhock telling their stories.
Adrenalin comes out in November on DVD, Blu-Ray and on-demand. Check out its trailer above for a taste at what it's aiming for. The documentary definitely looks like one to watch.
