2000 BMW M5 6 speed manual transmission. 8 cylinder, RWD. 400 hp.The car has been in the family since new. Constantly driven and maintained regularly.

More pictures are HERE. Lemans blue exterior. 6 speed manual transmission. Everything original, no modifications. The magic "sport" button. 18" staggered wheels 245/40/18 front and 275/35/18 rear. Tires are bridgestong RE960AS, top of the line. Still a lot of tread left (~8/32"). 152k miles now. Original manuals and floormats. Always garaged. M steering wheel and shift knob. Sunroof working good. Front side airbags. Driver side memory seat, dual power seats. Rear parking sensors. no error lights in the dashboard at all. Breaks are in excellent condition (>60% lifetime left). Exterior paint is in excellent condition. Wheels have some curb rash and the wheel lock. The lower part of the front bumper is damaged a little bit (01.jpg) because I ran into a snow bump seven years ago. I never fixed it because it did not affect the car's performance and never bothered me. Power windows and power door locks work with no problem. Icy cold AC and clean interior. Powerful engine and very solid feeling and comfortable cruising at all speeds with good alignment. Only 1 year old battery. HID low beam headlight. The leather on the driver seat is torned a little bit due to everyday use (36.jpg). It never bothered me and I will throw in an expensive seat cover to protect the seat if you want. Rear seats can fold down. Basically everything on this car works just like the day I bought it. Still the original clutch but it still feels great (no slipping at all) because of highway driving. The side view mirror can fold too (35.jpg). I still have the original window sticker of the car from 2000 and I bought a new set of 8 BMW navigation DVDs in 2006. 6-CD changers in the trunk. I once changed the instrument cluster in 2007 because the pixels were dying out. In 2008, both mass air flow sensors and catalytic converter were replaced and cost me an arm and a leg (41.jpg). Coolant flushed in 2011. Valve cover gasket done around 120K. All belts replaced around 130K. At 145K mileage, all spark plugs were replaced with Bosch brand ($19/each and 8 of them) and as well as the ignition coils ($148). At the same time, front BMW break rotors ($299/each) and ceramic break pads ($183/each) were put in and I have the receipts. No leaks at all. Currently the car is in excellent shape and will drive across America with no problem! We are selling the car because we need a larger minivan for the growing family. Title is clear and no lien. Please call me at 240 six-eight-one 9567 if interested. NO RESERVE! Highest bidder wins the car. I can also cancel the auction early if you make a reasonable offer. The closest airport is DCA or IAD. I can pick you up if you wanna fly in and drive back.

BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe and Concept 90 pics from Villa d'Este

Thu, 30 May 2013

Royalty and the ultra-wealthy rubbed damp shoulders at this past weekend's Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este on the shores of Italy's Lake Como, but even the rain couldn't extinguish the excitement generated by the millions of dollars of cars and bikes on display. Nowhere was this more true than with BMW, which marked the occasion with the reveal of two stunning concepts with six wheels between them - the shark-nosed Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe and the retrosexual Concept 90 motorcycle.
Conceived with Italian design house Pininfarina, the Gran Lusso Coupe is a power broker on 21-inch wheels. While we're not completely sold on every element of its design, this twelve-cylinder two-door concept moves us more than the current 6 Series, and not just because it has four more cylinders underhood and 48,000-year-old kauri wood paneling inside. BMW is sadly mum on production hopes, but we're not entirely optimistic - the company has graced us with a number of attractive concepts at Villa d'Este before, only to pack them away again without ever affording them a production future.
If one of these concepts has a better shot at finding its way into dealers, we have to believe it's the Concept 90 under the BMW Motorrad umbrella. Designed to celebrate the 40th anniversary of BMW's R 90 S, we think this Roland Sands Design air-cooled boxer would look fantastic on today's streets, especially with the rising popularity of vintage motorcycles and cafe racers.

2015 BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe

Fri, 06 Jun 2014

It's hard to say what a coupe is anymore. Is it merely a car with two doors? Does it have to have an arching roofline? Do frameless windows count for anything? Can a five-door hatchback or even an SUV be a coupe? At some point in the last few years, nearly everything we thought made a coupe a coupe has been challenged by something that calls itself a coupe, but to most people isn't. Our friends at BMW have led most of this line of questioning.
The new 2015 BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe is one of the latest Bimmers to challenge the moniker (which also challenges the idea of "Gran," for that matter), and unlike some of its other "coupe" variations - we're looking at you, X6 - this one is a pretty one. The 4 Series Gran Coupe is essentially a four-door version of the 4 Series, which is itself a two-door version of the 3 Series. Huh? Wouldn't that simply make it another 3 Series? Of course, but this one is prettier, as it uses the 4's sexier body styling, with its lower nose, wider-looking stance and edgier lighting graphics. It is also technically a five-door hatchback, not a sedan per se, and it utilizes frameless side door glass, which apparently does count for something in BMW coupe-land. Significantly, the 4 Gran Coupe's wheelbase is identical to the two-door; if it was longer - as is the case with the 3 Series and 5 Series hatchbacks - that might make it a "Gran Turismo." Confused yet?
We recently got our first chance to drive the 4 Series Gran Coupe at a press launch in Spain, and while the only version we were given was a rear-drive 428i Gran Coupe with the M Sport contents, the harrowing roads around Bilbao gave us a good idea of what this car is all about from a driving dynamics standpoint. Here's some of what we found:

Next BMW X1 caught on flatbed

Tue, 17 Sep 2013

The X1 had been around for four years before it was added to BMW's US lineup, so it isn't all that surprising that a new version of the company's smallest Sport Activity Vehicle is already in the works. Captured in transit on the back of a flatbed truck, these spy shots give us our first look at the next-gen X1 - codenamed F48 - which is expected to debut around 2015.
While the camouflage does a good job of obscuring most of the styling elements, we definitely see evidence of the X1's new platform. Elements like the loss of the long nose and a noticeably shrunken dash-axle gap (just compare this spy shot picture to this one from our X1 review), are good indicators that the next X1 will move to the new front-wheel-drive platform BMW is using for the new Mini and 1 Series GT. Aside from this, the overall shape is very similar to the current design, but we're sure it will pull many cues from the updated range of BMW products.
