This vehicle is being sold AS IS. I am moving into the city and I do not need a vehicle. I hope this SAV brings the next owner as much joy as it has to me! I believe I am the 3rd (4th if you count the dealer for a day they had it) owner of this vehicle. The owner before me bought this vehicle at 50,000 miles and I bought it from him at roughly 147xxx miles. Since purchasing this vehicle 6 months ago I have put over 6,000 miles on it and haven't had any issues! Other than normal maintenance requirements such as oil changes, brakes and rotor replacement, all wheel alignment, and a tune up , I haven't had any serious costly problems. Some minor things I did replace that haven't been an issue since, are upper/lower radiator hoses + water pump, right wheel bearing, and a brake light bulb replacement. I have all records that show what has been done since I owned it, as well as some documentation from the previous owner. Its a non smoking vehicle and always has been. New certified BMW floor mats were replaced when I bought this vehicle and the carpet underneath is virtually brand new. The engine runs very strong and shows no signs of slowing down. At 153k miles its just breaking in!  BMW owners take care and maintain there vehicles and its no secret these engines last a lifetime.

This vehicle is ready to drive today! I live in MA and we have one of the most strict vehicle inspections in the country and this passed with flying colors. No check engine lights, all features work beautifully, exterior and interior are in above average condition. Many people look at it and think its a 2006 model because it looks that good!  Other than wear and tear its a beautiful vehicle that has been taken care of throughout the years.

Upgrades: Vehicle has a tow package. I have not towed anything and the owner before me said he towed his small tug boat (2200 lbs) once a summer to his lake house. This SAV towing capacity is rated for 5000 lbs. With minimal towing and weight far beneath its limit, its safe to say the engine was never under stress.

Vehicle comes equipped with an aftermarket navigation system, premium sound with a subwoofer that is tuned to all genres of music from country to classical and everything in between. Blutooth, and iphone compatable with easy synchronization to any and all phones.

ISSUES: Only known issue is the driver side front CV boot has ripped and needs to be replaced. (roughly $150)  or wait until the axle goes which I was priced out to be roughly ($300) but that wont need to be replaced for some time.(4-6 months)

Serious Bidders Only

Please feel free to ask me any questions as I will do my best to answer as honest as I can.

This Or That: 1980 Oldsmobile 442 vs. 1989 BMW 635CSi [w/poll]

Thu, 09 Oct 2014

The last time I roped a coworker into an automotive debate, I lost. Resoundingly, I might add. Still, 2,385 voters chose to cast their lots for the Fiat 500 Abarth, as opposed to 5,273 choosing the Ford Fiesta ST, and so I can rest easy in the knowledge that at least 30 percent of you, dear readers, see things my way. I still like to think we have more fun, too.
My loss in the first round of our This or That series, in which two Autoblog editors pick sides on any given topic and then attempt to explain why the other is completely wrong, didn't stop me from picking another good-natured fight, this time with Senior Editor Seyth Miersma. Last time, our chosen sides were eerily similar in design, albeit quite different in actual execution. This time, our vehicular peculiarities couldn't seemingly fall any further from one another: A 1980 Oldsmobile 442 wouldn't seem to match up in comparison to a 1989 BMW 635CSi.
How did we come up with such disparate contenders? Simple, really. Seyth and I mutually agreed to choose a car that's currently for sale online. It had to be built and sold in the 1980s, and it had to be a coupe. The price cap was set at $10,000. The fruits of our searching labors will henceforth be disputed, with Seyth on the side of the Germans, and myself arguing in favor of the Rocket Olds. Am I setting myself up for another lopsided loss?

Alpina B3 Bi-Turbo burns all the midnight oil

Wed, 11 Sep 2013

We've got good news and bad news for you, boys and girls, from the floor of the Frankfurt Motor Show. The good news is that the BMW M3 has come early, with a diesel, in wagon form - albeit with a different name. The bad news is that it will in all likelihood never make it to America. Which is a shame, because it's awesome.
What we're talking about, of course, is the new Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo. BMW's wickedly talented but lesser know stepchild has created a 3 Series with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo diesel six packing 345 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. You - and by "you," we mean overseas buyers - can choose between sedan or wagon, as well as rear- or all-wheel drive. But the bottom line is a 4.6-second 0-62 time and a 173-mph top speed... from a diesel.
We scoped out the rear-drive wagon Alpina brought to the show, decked out in its signature blue. And you can, too, in the gallery of live shots above, along with the freshly assembled stock photos of both sedan and wagon versions in the gallery below.

EVO takes flight in BMW's sultry i8

Mon, 15 Sep 2014

Electric cars and hybrids are here to stay, much to the apparent dismay of some auto enthusiasts, but that doesn't mean they have to represent the death of enjoyable driving. Granted, the initial run of hybrids in the US like the Honda Insight and Toyota Prius weren't exactly tailor-made for aggressive folks behind the wheel, but things are clearly changing. In its latest video, Evo takes a look at three examples from Europe's new crop of electrified vehicles to show that the future of fun motoring is safe and sound.
Evo editor Henry Catchpole kicks things off with one of the most bizarre EVs of the bunch, the tiny Renault Twizy. Its low power and 50-mile-per-hour top speed might make it miles away from a hot hatch, but there's still fun to be had in extracting the most from this little city car. Next up is the Audi A3 E-Tron, which isn't technically available yet. It's a step in the right direction of eventually creating an affordable, fun-to-drive hybrid hot hatch.
However, the main event is Catchpole getting some seat time in the BMW i8. The Bimmer can really fly -literally in this case - and the butterfly-door coupe offers a clear look at the prospects for electrified sports cars. It might not have the power of hybrid supercar contemporaries like the LaFerrari or Porsche 918 Spyder, but the BMW doesn't cost nearly as much, either. See? Improved efficiency doesn't have to mean boring.
