1997 BMW Z3 Roadster.

Exterior: There are a few minor stone chips in the front of the vehicle, but no rust, and not dents dings or scratches. On the front bumper it was scraped on a curve scratching the bottom of it. There are no scratches or chips in the glass anywhere on vehicle. All of the emblems are still on the vehicle, the passenger side gill emblem is scratched where someone had tried to pry it off.

Interior: The interior is a one of a kind custom upholstered red and black synthetic leather material and was installed August 2013. It is a crocodile skin print in the red.  The door panels match the seat and center console with a red on black design. The center console is also custom made, which opens towards the passenger seat, carpeted on the inside. The radio is a Sony radio with a display which opens with a USB tray for Iphone, Ipod, Mp3, etc.it also comes equipped with Bluetooth and an external microphone. The dash is perfect no cracks or sun fading.

Mechanically: The vehicle had an oil change at 108500 miles. The drive-shaft has been replaced at 105000 miles. The brake pads where replaced and brake fluid changed at 108500 miles. The calipers are painted red with a clear coat for easy cleaning. The upper and lower ball joints were replaced by previous owner at 100000 miles.

The tires and rims are new, each having under 5000 miles on them. Rims even have the awesome BMW valve stem caps.

The vehicle has a dust cover, owner’s manual, shop manual, both diagnostic computers. It has been garage kept by the previous owner and myself.

The car is unique and one of a kind vehicle with all the custom interior that fits this BMW beautifully. I have had this car for almost a year now, the previous owner only drove it occasionally keeping it clean and in the garage. With my son in college now, the car never gets driven and is lonely and needs to be shown off. It’s definitely an eye turner, driving with the top down, I get many people complementing the interior and asking where I got it done. Personally I love the car, just looking to clean up space and get something that I will drive more often.

BMW i8 Spyder gets production nod

Wed, 18 Dec 2013

BMW could be poised to expand its i8 range, beyond the hardtop version of the plug-in hybrid supercar. A report from Bimmerpost is claiming that the i8 Spyder, which we showed you in concept form at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show, will be heading to production.
The website claims the open-roof fuel-sipper was shown to BMW management last Friday as a production-intent model. Other than that, there's not a lot to tell here. The i8 Spyder should feature all the same mechanical and aesthetic features found on the i8 Coupe, just without the confining nature of a roof. It's unclear when we'll see a production i8 droptop make its debut, although this certainly strikes us as the kind of car that should arrive at the Geneva Motor Show.
While an i8 Spyder does seem like a logical leap for BMW's i sub-brand, we're going to keep this one filed under the rumors category until we hear more.

2015 BMW i8: Autoblog Technology of the Year finalist

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

Traditionally, nominations for the Autoblog Technology of the Year award are earned for specific developments - a new-think powertrain, a uniquely developed material, a groundbreaking smartphone app, or what have you. In the case of BMW's marvelous i8, it so bristles with novel applied sciences and fresh features that we broke with tradition and nominated the entire car.
We just couldn't help ourselves. Oh, we could've focused on the i8's carbon-fiber monocoque, or its well-resolved plug-in-hybrid powertrain that incorporates a tiny 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine and an electric motor, or its seamless through-the-road all-wheel drive. This is a car that will even have frickin' laser beams for headlights - at least it will for our friends in Europe (and it will in the US, should our legislators ever catch up).

BMW M235i Racing restores our faith in 'M'

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

Based on the upcoming BMW 2 Series and aimed at amateur and semi-professional racers, the 2014 BMW M235i Racing is a stripped-down, race-spec coupe ready to take on the Nürburgring in the VLN Endurance Championship race series against cars from Audi, Porsche and Toyota.
Obvious in the image above (click to enlarge), BMW has given the M235i Racing the wide-body treatment with a track that has been stretched by 3.5 inches. Under the hood, the 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder receives a power boost from a stock 322 horsepower up slightly to 333 hp, while other modifications include a full FIA roll cage, a racing fuel tank and a limited slip rear differential.
The M235i Racing replaces the M3 GT4 as BMW's factory racer, and it will be priced at 59,500 euros (close to $80,000), which is about as affordable as a factory-prepped racecar can get. The full press release is posted below, but we can't wait to see this car in action next year.
