I am the 3rd owner, however the first two are friends of mine so I know the complete history of this car. I have
the original sticker price, it was $40,470. The sticker shows a Black top however the dealer had problems selling
Tan interior Z3's with black tops, so he removed the black top and put on a tan top to match the interior.
Personally, I agree. That's one of the things I liked about the car. Top is down anyway when it was driven. The
first owner put about 7k miles on it, the second about 1600 and I bought it with about 8600 miles. Now has 9643
(check photo). I have included a picture of how the car was stored. It was stored on hydraulic wheel jacks. I used
a trickle charger to keep the battery from going dead in the winter. I will include it with the car. It is a BMW
OEM charger. Radio code is included because if the battery goes dead you will need it get the radio to play after
power is restored. Security feature. The previous owners along with myself rubbed down all the exposed rubber
before we stored it. Believe me, this car has been babied. Check the photos, it doesn't even leak around the
windows when I wash it and sprayed down with the hose. It is that tight. This could easily be a daily driver
without the cost of a new car, which this car almost is.
The car is in unbelievably good shape for its age. It was built in May of 2002 which was the last month and year
they made the Z3. After that they were called Z4 with a completely different body style. Most people like the Z3"s
because it is a more pure sports car. Individual gauges which were eliminated in the Z4. So the Z3 look a lot more
like traditional sports cars. I covered what little problems there are with this car in the condition section.
Believe Its not as bad as it might read because I am ultra conservation about describing ANY little problem.

2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe is ready for your favorite roads

Mon, 14 Jan 2013

We've known about the ins and outs of the lovely BMW M6 Gran Coupe for a while now, but that doesn't mean we weren't happy to see the thing in the metal for the first time, here in Detroit.
The M-tuned Gran Coupe utilizes the same 4.4-liter forced-induction V8 that powers both the BMW M6 and the M5, with an output of 560 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque. The fast four-door brings up 60 miles per hour in just 4.1-seconds - the same sprint time as the M6 coupe and a few tenths quicker than the M5 - and up to a limited top speed of 155 mph.
We love those performance figures - this is one new Bimmer that we're amped to get some seat time in - though we're not super crazy about the selection of chrome wheels on this particular show car. Tells us what you think about the hotted up Gran Coupe in comments, below.

BMW Concept Roadster has two fewer wheels than we were expecting

Fri, 23 May 2014

The annual Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este on the shores of Lake Como is an opportunity for some of the most beautiful vehicles in the world to descend on one of the poshest places on earth each year. Unsurprisingly, the event is also increasingly the chance for automakers to debut exclusive concepts to some of the wealthiest auto enthusiasts in the world. In the last few years, BMW has become the masters of this annual unveiling with automotive concepts like the Gran Lusso Coupé, BMW Zagato Coupe and motorcycles like the the gorgeous Concept 90, not to mention the just-revealed Mini Superleggera Vision. But this year the Bavarian automaker has been somewhat tricky.
What would you first think when you heard of the BMW Concept Roadster? A lithe, two-seat convertible? Nope. This roadster is a cut-down, minimalist motorcycle with an ultra-modern design. As opposed to the retro looks of the Concept 90, this naked bike looks like it could fit in a BMW showroom tomorrow and not seem out of place.
The Concept Roadster packs the brand's classic two-cylinder boxer engine displacing 1,170 cubic centimeters and producing 123 horsepower and 92 pound-feet of torque. That power is routed to the rear wheel via a cardan drive, essentially a driveshaft, with a single-sided swing arm rear suspension. It's all nestled in a tubular spaceframe.

Permanent erection lawsuit against BMW thrown out

Wed, 19 Mar 2014

The California man who claimed that he suffered from a 20-month erection after a four-hour ride on his BMW K1100RS motorcycle (similar model pictured above) has had his case dismissed. It seems the court found his claims too hard to believe.
Henry Wolf filed a product liability lawsuit against BMW and seatmaker Corbin-Pacific in the California Superior Court in April 2012 after he claimed a motorcycle ride in September 2010 caused a long-term case of priapism from the "ridge-like" saddle design. He asked for compensation for lost wages, medical expenses and emotional distress from both companies.
Nearly two years later, according to Visor Down, Judge James J. McBride decided that the case didn't have enough supporting evidence. A urologist testified that the plaintiff had priapism, but the court rejected the testimony of a neurologist who claimed the motorcycle's vibration caused the disorder. The defendants presented testimony from the bike's former and subsequent owners. Corbin-Pacific CEO Mike Corbin also spoke in the company's defense.
