Up for sale is a fine example of a 1987 Buick Grand National with just over 22,000 original miles.  The current owner purchased the GN in July of 1991 with 13,228 miles and has meticulously maintained it ever since.  It is in excellent condition throughout and has not been altered in any way.  There has been no paint work, no body work, no performance modifications...this one is just how it left the factory.

As I mentioned previously, this GN still wears its original black paint which is in fantastic swirl free condition, with just a few very minor stone chips.  The body is clean and straight as well with no door dings.  This GN is equipped with the optional T-Top roof and includes the original storage bags which are in very nice condition.  The hood does have about 3 small dents near the front (see pictures) which are probably from closing the hood.  The interior is also in excellent condition with no signs of wear. Everything works correctly and the air conditioning blows nice and cold.  The wheels are in great condition and still ride on the original set of Good Year Eagle GT's.  Mechanically the car performs like new with no known issues.

This GN is extremely clean throughout and must be seen in person to be truly appreciated.  A thorough inspection and appraisal was completed recently and the appraiser commented that "This vehicle is in excellent condition overall, needing only minor detailing to be in national show condition throughout, this car appears to be original in all aspects."

If you have been looking for an extremely clean, original, unmolested GN, then this is the car for you.  If interested please contact Darwin at 570-337-7222 or 570-546-5277 after 5PM EST on weekdays or anytime after 8AM EST on weekends.  Additional pictures are available by request.  The car is located in central Pennsylvania. Serious inquiries only please.

2013 Buick Enclave

Mon, 29 Oct 2012

GM's Flagship Lambda Is (Still) A Smooth Operator
Consumers shopping for a domestic full-size crossover have heard all about GM's triplets. The Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave are a very appealing and talented group of siblings. Entering their fifth year of production, albeit middle-age in the automotive industry, each is attractive, well-rounded and very capable on the paved dance floor. While all share nearly identical base DNA and the same basic running gear, subtle physical differences and unique personalities emerge between the trio when one digs a bit deeper.
The most polished of the threesome, without question, is the Enclave from Buick. Fresh off a mid-cycle update (as are its siblings), the flagship of the platform boasts a facelift, innovative new features and an upgraded demeanor for the new model year.

Small number of 2013 Buick Encore models recalled for loose steering wheel

Thu, 04 Apr 2013

General Motors has issued a recall and a stop sale for the 2013 Buick Encore due to an issue that could result in the steering wheel falling off on certain models. In a letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, GM says that 144 Encores equipped with heated steering wheels could have been incorrectly retrofitted due to a parts shortage.
Needless to say, a loose or separated steering wheel would likely cause an accident if it happened while the vehicle was in motion. The recall doesn't go into effect until April 12, but concerned Encore owners can use the official recall notice (attached below) to contact GM.

Buick celebrates 110 years by naming most significant model of each decade

Sun, 23 Jun 2013

In May of 1903, Buick began work on its first vehicle, the 1904 Model B, the first example of which was sold to a doctor in Flint, Michigan. That first sale was appropriate since later on, Buick became known as a "doctor's car." The Model B is the first of 11 cars chosen by Buick to highlight each decade of the company's 110-year history.
The 1916 D-45 Touring with a six-cylinder engine was Buick's highest seller that year, and helped push overall sales past six figures for the first time, making Buick the top-selling automotive brand. In 1931, Series 50 got an eight-cylinder engine, which helped the company survive the Great Depression. The 1936 Century was the first Buick that could hit 100 miles per hour, the 1949 Roadmaster had a supporting role in Rain Man, the 1953 Skylark had Italian wire wheels and the owner's name engraved on its steering wheel.
Then we have the iconic 1963 Riviera, the V6-powered 1975 Regal, and in 1987, the legendary GNX. With a turbocharged, intercooled V6 pumping out 276-horsepower it could hit 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds. In 1999 Buick built the first car in China, the Century, and that country remains the brand's largest market.
