You are looking at a 1962 Buick LeSabre 2 door. It has the original 401 nailhead in it along with the dynaflow transmission. This is a good solid car from Phoenix AZ. I am moving and taking the car with me just isn't practical. The car is painted black and the interior has been redone with black and tan. The only part of the interior not redone is the head liner. it is out of the car and should be redone. All of the headliner ribs are still in the car. none of them are missing. The car fires right up and drives. though the carb and timing need to adjusted.

The Good:
Though it is currently located near St. Louis it is an Arizona car with no rust. It was brought out there about 6 months ago and has been garage kept the entire time. It now has on it Boss 338 wheels. 18's with 235's up front and 20's with 255's out back. The engine now has a 4br Edelbrock carb and a manifold from a 425 nailhead. Has a clean AZ title. This really is a great old Buick. Turns heads everywhere.

Included, but installed on the car:
Custom Autosound USA-630 head unit.
a pair of infinity 6.5 speakers
a pair of infinity 6x9 speakers.
Jamco lowering springs to drop the car 2".
The original 2br carb and manifold.
6 wheels and tires, old school 15" Buick wheels with 235's on them. Some of them have the Riviera symbol center cap.
The original bumper Jack is still present and works just fine.
A service manual along with a bunch of other small parts the previous owner gave me.

The Bad:
The car has a slow electrical drain. I just unhook the battery when the car is parked in the garage. The engine has an oil leak. The AC is all there but I was told by the previous owner that it is not working.

Buyer will arrange transport and payment will be made before the vehicle can be picked up.

GM mulling Chevy Cruze hatchback for US, Buick 'Panamera' among other new models

Fri, 08 Nov 2013

We've spoken at length previously about the fallacy of poor hatchback sales in the US, and with the runaway success of its Chevrolet Cruze sedan, it's somewhat unsurprising to hear that General Motors is rethinking its decision not to sell an overseas five-door variant in North America as it looks to plug a number of holes in its lineup. GM North American President Mark Reuss admitted during a media luncheon this week that not offering the model "... was a pre-bankruptcy planning mistake," says Forbes. With the next-generation model already well-along in development, it's likely that the current Cruze hatch (shown above) won't see US dealers.
Reuss admits not offering the model "was a pre-bankruptcy planning mistake"
In what must have been a far-reaching conversation, Reuss hinted at a number of new products for many GM brands, including "a much more beautiful Panamera" range-topper for Buick (which sounds a bit like the line of reasoning the TriShield brand has been pursuing with its Riviera concepts) and a "Ford Transit Connect-fighter" to supplant the recently announced badge-engineered Chevy City Express from Nissan.

Buick picks top 11 highlights from first 11 decades

Sun, 21 Apr 2013

Buick has taken the time to highlight some of the company's personal points of pride from the past 110 years. Those include everything from the automaker's very first vehicle, the 1904 Model B, to what Buick claims is the world's first concept car: The 1938 Y Job (above). That one also walked away with the worst name for a design study.
All told, the automaker has sold 43 million vehicles through the end of last year, and those include the lusty 1963 Riviera. That model celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2013, and remains one of the brand's most iconic designs.
Of course, Buick is rightfully proud of its quickest model, too. The 1987 GNX managed a 4.6-second bolt to 60 mph in tests by Car and Driver, and it also took the honor of being one of the automaker's rarest creations at just 547 units. You can check out all 10 in the gallery above.

Opel Cascada close to getting green light for US

Fri, 13 Sep 2013

For a company with a long tradition of grand touring convertibles, it's almost unseemly that General Motors doesn't offer a properly relaxed four-seat convertible in North America. There's the Chevrolet Camaro, of course, but it's not big on rear-seat space and it doesn't offer that sort of serene demeanor that many open-air buyers crave. We're thinking of something more refined and, dare we say, elegant. Something a bit closer to the Opel Cascada.
The General's front-wheel drive convertible went on sale in Europe this year, and while it seemed like a natural fit for its Buick brand in America, it's never been sold here. That may be about to change, however. Back in June, CEO Dan Akerson hinted he'd like to see the Cascada available in the US, and now there's word from Edmunds that importation "could happen soon." That's according to an unnamed insider at the company.
