As one of only 5,500 built, this California classic loaded with options including factory tach, cruise, power windows, steering, and seats, tilt wheel and ice cold air conditioning features the relatively fast 3.8 liter engine tied to a smooth shifting automatic transmission. It even has factory mag wheels which give it a great look. The seats are every bit as comfortable as they look, and my close inspection showed just a couple of areas of minor wear, no tears, and just one very small burn hole on the rear seat. An $800+ factory direct fit stereo with CD is installed and the original radio is included with the sale. The power antenna works with the original radio, but not with the current stereo. The paint shines very nice as shown in the pictures. The car was apparently re-painted at some time, because the door jambs and underside of the hood and trunk remain the original silver color. The video shows that this is a nice running classic that looks great driving down the road. Of course, all lights, horn, wipers, gauges, etc. work as they should. The present owner bought this as an extra car, but has determined that he really doesn't need it as much as he does the money to finish restoring his classic pickup truck. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required with 48 hours of auction end, with balance due within 7 calendar days of end of auction. Hyundai, Buick dealer apologize in wake of Chinese baby social media incident
Sat, 09 Mar 2013A very strange story out of China today, as Hyundai and a Chinese Buick dealer were forced to face allegations of using allusions to an infamous child murder on a social media site as a way of promoting the safety features of their respective vehicles.
The original sad tale goes something like this: On March 4, a man reported to police that he had left his infant child in a running Toyota RAV4 while he ran into a supermarket briefly. When he came back out, the vehicle and the child were gone. Later in the week a suspect turned himself in to the police; confessing to them that he had stolen a sport-utility vehicle, strangled the infant that was in it, and then buried the child in the snow.
As you might imagine, the gristly incident was covered massively in the Chinese media. (There was huge public outcry as well, as evidenced by the vigil scene, above.) "Changchun baby abduction" was very quickly amongst the highest ranking search teams of the China's Weibo social media site - an equivalent of Twitter in the English-speaking world.

It seems that Europe is defining the future of General Motors more so than its home North American market. Having axed Saturn, Pontiac and Hummer, GM has done a fairly good job of repositioning its remaining four divisions, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick and GMC. Cadillac carries the luxury banner. Chevrolet is aimed at the masses with cars and trucks along with a nod to performance thanks to Camaro and Corvette. Buick bridges the premium gap between Chevy and Cadillac, while GMC offers a hardcore work/upscale proposition.
