1990 White Buick Reatta Convertible on 2040-cars

Year:1990 Mileage:149300
Location:

Traverse City, Michigan, United States

Traverse City, Michigan, United States

This is a Florida car and it has no rust. It has been a daily summertime driver until recently.  Most everything works as it should, but it could use a good cleaning and some restoration. The car is in totally original unrestored condition. The driver’s side seat has a crack in the leather bottom, but other than that the interior is very clean. The white top is in good condition and it has been stored in a garage during its life. No leaks.  The important things like brakes, glass and headlights are in great condition. The body panels are all good without dings. The tires have 80% tread remaining. It has a re-manufactured GM Good Wrench motor and transmission. The car has 149,700 miles on it but the engine and transmission were replaced years ago at about 135,000 miles. We purchased our Reatta from a New Port Richey, Florida dealer, about 7 years ago. We were told the engine and transmission were replaced by a factory dealer. It has never been driven during the Michigan winters, so it is completely rust free. If you have been looking for a cheaper convertible, this is a good candidate for you. I have been collecting a lot of spare parts over the past 5 years ($500.00 plus) and they will be included with the sale. It has been fun to drive, but we are seniors and just want to move on from the 2 seater world. The car runs and drives very well.  No major issues. I am relisting this car at my bottom price.  This is a nice car for the price as some Reattas book to $40K. A less expensive Reatta convertible in this condition can not be found.  Email for further info and better pictures or come see it about 150 miles north of Lansing, Michigan.  I would not be afraid to drive this car anywhere in the country.  It has been very reliable.  We are looking for a larger car with the same engine. Thanks for looking! Check my feedback and bid with confidence. I have added some underside pictures showing only minor surface rust as found in even new cars.  The AC is now blowing cold after resetting.  The parts I will include are commonly used replacement for this year vehicle, including headlight motors, computers, brake parts, etc.  jack  k8xx@chartermi.net

eBay Find of the Day: 1981 DeLorean with 570-hp twin-turbo Buick V6 [w/videos]

Mon, 23 Dec 2013

"Are you telling me that you built a time machine... out of a DeLorean?" So asked one Marty McFly of his mentor Dr. Emmett Brown, who replied: "The way I see it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style?"
Doc Brown was right, of course: with an exotic mid-engine layout, gullwing doors and stainless steel body, the DeLorean DMC-12 sure looked the part. It just needed a little more juice. Well this one might not have 1.21 gigawatts of time-bending power - that'd be more than one and a half million horsepower - but it does have more than the 150 hp in the the standard 2.8-liter V6.
That's because this particular DeLorean has had its stock Peugeot Renault Volvo engine swapped out for a Buick-sourced, all-aluminum, 4.3-liter V6 from the Grand National. Dutteiller Performance didn't leave the engine in stock form, either: while they were swapping it out, they added a pair of turbochargers, new pistons, crank, cams and much, much more.

Next-gen LaCrosse, Cascada convertible coming to Buick showrooms in 2016

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

It's difficult to overstate how significant the post-bankruptcy years have been for General Motors' Buick brand. Arguably the most improved American automaker, Buick has rounded out its range with an excellent compact in the Verano, a well-balanced midsizer in the Regal and a segment-busting mini-CUV, with the Encore.
Seeking to keep that momentum going, the next several years will see the brand address a trio of its most obvious issues. First and foremost will be a replacement for the aging LaCrosse, a vehicle whose only bit of attention since its 2009 debut was a very light refresh in 2013.
According to Automotive News, we should expect the next-generation LaCrosse to arrive late next year or early in 2016, as a 2016 model. AN expects big design changes, as Buick attempts to further the LaCrosse from its popular platform-mate, the Chevrolet Impala. The changes won't be so radical, though, as to do away with its front-drive architecture, as the latest version of the Epsilon platform will underpin the next LaCrosse. The 3.6-liter V6 is likely to carry on, although a smaller, budget-minded offering is also extremely likely (we'll eat our hat if it's not the 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder from the Regal, Verano and Cadillac CTS et al.).

Answering The $30,000 Entry-Level Luxury Question
Twenty years ago, a comparison between an entry-level Buick and Acura would have matched a Skylark against an Integra.
Twenty years ago, a comparison between an entry-level Buick and its Acura equivalent would have matched a Skylark against an Integra. The unfair battle would have resulted in the compact American's defeat in nearly every measurable category, as the Japanese competitor was arguably at the height of its powers.
