1964 BUICK RIVIERA

THIS IS A VERY CLEAN SURVIVOR WITH ONE REPAINT & COLOR CHANGE (NO RUST REPAIR). I BELIEVE THE ORIGINAL COLOR WAS A LIGHT BLUE. THIS CAR IS ALMOST TOTALLY RUST FREE, JUST A FEW BUBBLES AND SMALL RUST ON LOWER R. QUARTER (LOOK AT PICTURES CLOSE).

I WAS TOLD THAT THE MILES ARE CORRECT BUT TAKE THAT FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH. I HAVE A HARD TIME BELIEVING THIS CAR IS OVER ON THE MILES. THE ENGINE BAY IS ORIGINAL AND CLEAN (NOT DETAILED), THE FRONT END IS NOT WORE OUT AND VERY TIGHT, ENGINE RUNS STRONG AND SOUNDS RIGHT (NO SMOKE OR NOISES), TRANS SHIFTS SMOOTHLY, AND POWER DRUM BRAKES WORK GREAT!

ORIGINAL INTERIOR IS IN GOOD SHAPE FOR BEING 50 YEARS OLD. HEADLINER IS GOOD, DASH IS GOOD (NO CRACKS), PACKAGE TRAY IS GOOD, CARPET, WOOD LAMINATE IN CONSOLE IS GOOD AND EVEN THE BRAKE PEDAL PAD IS NOT WORE. THE DOOR PANELS HAVE SOME WEAR AS WELL AS THE SEATS HAVE SOME SEAMS COMING APART.

ALL THE GLASS IS GOOD ON THIS CAR AND ALL THE POWER WINDOWS WORK GOOD. THE POWER SEAT WANTS TO WORK, BUT ONLY MAKES A CLICKING NOISE (MAY NEED CONTACTS AND GROUND CLEANED). ORIGINAL RADIO, WIPERS, TURN SIGNALS AND EVEN THE SPEED BUZZER WORKS. THE LIGHTS WORK, BUT YOU HAVE TO HOLD THE SWITCH OUT FOR HEADLIGHTS TO STAY ON (MAY NEED NEW SWITCH). TILT WHEEL IN NICE AND TIGHT AND NO CRACKING ON STEERING WHEEL.

HEATER WORKS BUT A/C MAY NEED A CHARGE FROM SETTING. HAS NEW EXHAUST WITH FLOWMASTER MUFFLERS. I ALSO HAVE THE ORIGINAL OWNER'S MANUAL.

NEW PARTS INCLUDE WOOD LAMINATE FOR DOOR PANELS, HOOD INSULATION, TRUNK SEAL, DOOR SEALS, WINDOW FELTS, AND WINDOW SEALS (LOOK GOOD AT PICTURE).

CALL MIKE FOR MORE INFO. 479-238-1122 I CAN ALSO DELIVER THE CAR TO YOUR DOOR FOR $1.50 A LOADED MILE.

GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect

The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.

GM expanding Lansing Lambda CUV plant

Thu, 30 Oct 2014

Considering that crossovers are a rapidly growing portion of the US auto market, it's not surprising to hear that General Motors is preparing to build even more of them. The company is investing $63 million to expand its Lansing Delta Township Assembly plant that builds Lambda platform CUVs like the Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave.
According to GM, the expansion will add roughly 263,000 extra square feet of space to the plant. Of that, 181,000 square feet will be for an updated body shop with cutting-edge robots. There will also be 54,000 square feet of additional room in the paint shop and 28,000 square feet of more area for general assembly.
GM isn't saying as much, but there is the possibility that this extra space could allow for additional models produced at the factory. Cadillac reportedly dropped plans to build a three-row SUV on the Lambda platform earlier this year, however, dealers for the luxury brand were recently pitched the possibility of adding large and small CUVs, an ATS convertible or a sedan below the ATS.

GM warning 800,000 owners that their cars may need oil changes more frequently than they say

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

The days of changing your engine oil every 3,000 miles are long gone thanks to most cars having automatic oil monitoring systems, but about 800,000 General Motors vehicles apparently have incorrect monitoring software that is leading to premature engine component wear. According to Autoweek, certain 2010-2012 Buick LaCrosse, Regal, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain models equipped with 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines could be going too long in between oil changes resulting in a higher-than-normal number of warranty claims for the engine's balance chain. The balance chain links the balance shaft to the crankshaft, and a worn one can produce higher noise levels.
As a fix, GM dealers will be reprogramming the software for the monitors in an effort to reduce the interval between oil changes, which varies based on driving habits and conditions. Through February 2015, the software update will be done at no cost to vehicle owners, but since this is not a recall, after that point, it will be up to the discretion of dealers as to whether or not they will charge for the service. What isn't immediately clear is whether GM plans on giving assistance to out-of-warranty customers who are experiencing engine issues from the worn chain.
