Here is a 1981 Buick Riviera with 37K original miles. Title shows 30157.

I purchased this car for my 16 year old son. He looked at it once and said it's an old mans car. I've had it for one week and since we are not keeping it I am passing the title from the man I just purchased it from.

Car has a new Eldelbrock 4bbl carb
I just had a new master cylinder installed.

Youtube video of car running and walk-around:     ;

Car's motor is very strong and transmission is glass smooth.
Power windows and locks, radio and clock all work.
AC does not work but heat, defroster and all vents do work properly.
Right power seat motor works but seat does not move.
Looks like a partial older paint job.
Car was owned by an elderly gentleman before 2nd owner.
2nd owner told me car sat in a garage for 15 years.
Dash is perfect with no cracks
Vinyl top is in good shape and all glass is excellent.
No rust anywhere on this car. paint is flat on top of hood, trunk and roof. paint on sides is excellent.
Tires are brand new.

This car is very smooth. Needs a little more work to be perfect but is ready to be a daily driver.
Car is in what I consider good condition but will need ac fixed and right power seat motor to be complete.
I am not a car person so I cannot determine if anything else needs to be done.
I drove it from the owners house to my own. It ran perfectly smooth and did not overheat or do anything wrong. It's a silky car to ride in and drive. You can drive it to your home without hesitation.

GM recalls over 230,000 more Trailblazer-family SUVs over door electronics

Sun, 16 Jun 2013

Back in August, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced a recall on the General Motors GMT360 SUVs (Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X) ranging from the 2005 to 2007 model years and the 2006 GMT370 SUVs (Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL) due to potential fires associated with the driver's door module. Initially limited to 250,000 units sold or registered in 20 Snow Belt states (and the District of Columbia), the recall has now been expanded to include an additional 193,000 of these SUVs in the US and, according to The Detroit News, 40,000 more sold outside the US, including Canada and Mexico.
Like the original recall, the issue is still a faulty driver's door module that can short out, which could lead to a fire. The Detroit News is reporting that, out of the 443,000 units being recalled, GM says that there were 58 fires that caused 11 minor injuries, and the expanded recall accounted for six fires and one injury. Despite the lower number of fires, the recall notice recommends that owners park their vehicles until the recall repairs has been performed.
On recalled units with functional modules, the repair consists of a protective coating being applied to the module, while vehicles with modules that are not working properly will have the driver's door module replaced. The official recall notice is posted below, and it includes contact information for customers of all five brands.

Opel Cascada close to getting green light for US

Fri, 13 Sep 2013

For a company with a long tradition of grand touring convertibles, it's almost unseemly that General Motors doesn't offer a properly relaxed four-seat convertible in North America. There's the Chevrolet Camaro, of course, but it's not big on rear-seat space and it doesn't offer that sort of serene demeanor that many open-air buyers crave. We're thinking of something more refined and, dare we say, elegant. Something a bit closer to the Opel Cascada.
The General's front-wheel drive convertible went on sale in Europe this year, and while it seemed like a natural fit for its Buick brand in America, it's never been sold here. That may be about to change, however. Back in June, CEO Dan Akerson hinted he'd like to see the Cascada available in the US, and now there's word from Edmunds that importation "could happen soon." That's according to an unnamed insider at the company.

GM recalling 2013 Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac SRX over transmission software

Thu, 21 Mar 2013

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued recalls for the 2013 Buick LaCrosse and 2013 Cadillac SRX due to a problem with the software for the transmission controller. On about 27,000 SRX and LaCrosse models, the transmission could accidentally be shifted to Sport mode, which would reduce the amount of engine braking drivers experience.
NHTSA says this could increase the risk of a crash, but, fortunately, the required fix is simply an update to the software.
While we're on the subject of General Motors vehicle recalls, a small number (48) of compressed natural gas versions of the 2011 Chevrolet Express are also being recalled for a potential risk of fire or explosion. Yikes. Both official recall notices are posted below.
