Selling my Buick Riviera is hard for me. This is the best car and best looking car that I have ever owned. I have owned 10 years purchasing from the original owner with 32,000 miles. I kept it this long because I like it so much. Being a car collector, I thought I would just buy new and add this to my collection, but having 5 other vehicles, I have run out of garages. This car has been serviced every 3000 miles. It is a joy to drive.
I am a fussy car owner and now the car will be needing maintenance repairs soon. Tires will need replacing soon, Exhaust system is original, never replaced and will need work, but still is quiet. Digital dash was replaced at 60,000 miles, but now blanks out intermitently. This is common with Cadillacs and Buicks of this era. Internal Cam shaft sensor needs to be replaced, I have not replaced it as the car runs fine as is. Cannot decide if it should be replaced. Drivers side door panel needs repair, would have been repaired if I could find a source. Headliner is separating in some spots near the rear. Vinyl top is showing wear, look at it in the attached photos. Exterior paint, alloy wheels and all trim is excellent. Leather seats and carpets are good.
Selling as a used car, but it really has become a collector car to me and others. People always comment on what an attractive car it is. On the highway car gets almost 30 miles to the gallon at any highway speed.

GM sweetens military discount for Buick, Chevy and GMC
Sun, 06 Oct 2013American servicemen and women interested in a new vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick or GMC now have a bit more incentive to head down to their local dealer, as General Motors has announced plans to improve its military discount program.
The new GM Military Discount Program offers eligible consumers a new Chevy, Buick or GMC at invoice pricing, which in some cases can take very large chunks out of a car's retail price. When factored in with other incentives, most of which are available with the Military Discount, the bargains are thick on the ground for members of the US armed forces.
GM's Retail Sales and Marketing Support general manager, Chuck Thomson, said, "GM has long supported the military and military families, and we hope this simplified and enhanced discount will show our appreciation for their service and help make it easier for them to own one of our great new vehicles." The program is open to all active duty and reserve members in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard, as well as veterans that have been out of the service for less than a year. Military retirees and their spouses are also eligible for the discount.
GM delivers best Q3 sales since 1980, 2.4M vehicles sold
Wed, 15 Oct 2014People are a weird sort. Even after registering over 70 recalls through the first three-quarters of 2014, General Motors saw its best Q3 results since Jimmy Carter was in the White House, registering over 2.4 million global sales between June and September on the back of strong results in the US and China.
US sales were marshaled by good results for GM's pickups, the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, which bumped the manufacturer's truck market share to 35.6 percent, up nearly three points from Q1 2014. Buick has seen healthy growth as well, with the Encore dominating its segment for the sixth month running.
It was China, though, that really bolstered GM's sales, as the company's efforts to top last year's record-setting 3.16 million units continued apace. Small SUV sales saw massive growth, with Encore, Chevrolet Trax and Captiva figures jumping 90 percent in Q3. Brand-wise, Chevrolet, Cadillac and Buick all saw sales gains in the PRC, with each recording double-digit year-over-year jumps. Cadillac sales alone were up 63 percent compared to the first nine months of 2013.
2013 Buick Encore nets strong IIHS, NHTSA safety scores
Wed, 05 Jun 2013After being crushed from every which way and rolled over like a labrador, the 2013 Buick Encore has been named a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. To earn the accolade, a vehicle must achieve the highest rating of "Good" in each of the institute's four main crash tests: Front Moderate Overlap, Side, Rollover and Rear. The Encore aced those four tests with "Good" ratings, but missed out on the coveted Top Safety Pick+ designation by receiving a Poor rating in the institute's new Front Small Overlap test. To be named a Top Safety Pick+, the Encore would need to score at least an "Acceptable" rating in the new test, as well as "Good" in all four original crash tests.
Despite the miss, the Encore joins the Enclave, LaCrosse, Verano and Regal as Top Safety Picks all. If you count only the Encore with all-wheel drive, then all five Buicks have also earned five-star overall ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Adminstration, making Buick one of the few manufacturers to offer a full lineup with high scores from both safety rating organizations.
The front-wheel-drive Encore, despite performing equally as well as the all-wheel-drive version in NHTSA's crash tests, only earned four stars overall. As far as we can tell, the discrepancy between the two is because some safety equipment, like Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Assist, are optional features on the FWD Encore and standard on the AWD model.
