Time to retire , Need to sell off some of my toys . Up for auction is my 1957 2 Door Buick Super, powered by a 1963 401 Buick Nailhead , newly rebuilt Dynaflo Transmission Front Disc Brakes , Dual Master brake cylinder, new stainless brake lines , new rear brakes & wheel cylinders , new rear axle bearings and seals , under the hood , we installed a electric cooling fan, a powermaster alternator, . The interior has been completely freshened up ( All New ) . Their has been a lot of chrome that has been re-chromed, mostly bumper parts .The car has Boyd Codington 20in on the back and 18in on the front, all tires are like new . This car turns a lot of heads . Things that need to be done , Rear pinion seal needs to be replaced, mufflers are glass packs sounds cool but to load for me . This car is register in the state of Connecticut , and we are a none title state , so their is no title with this car . Car is offered locally so I will cancel this auction if sold . GM recalling 2013 Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac SRX over transmission software
Thu, 21 Mar 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued recalls for the 2013 Buick LaCrosse and 2013 Cadillac SRX due to a problem with the software for the transmission controller. On about 27,000 SRX and LaCrosse models, the transmission could accidentally be shifted to Sport mode, which would reduce the amount of engine braking drivers experience.
NHTSA says this could increase the risk of a crash, but, fortunately, the required fix is simply an update to the software.
While we're on the subject of General Motors vehicle recalls, a small number (48) of compressed natural gas versions of the 2011 Chevrolet Express are also being recalled for a potential risk of fire or explosion. Yikes. Both official recall notices are posted below.
Buick shows off new Ultra Luxury Interior for LaCrosse
Sun, 27 Apr 2014The options sheet of the 2014 Buick LaCrosse gets all kinds of fancy with the addition of the Ultra Luxury Interior. Pointing its Tri-Shield logo at the world of haute luxury, the cabin treatment combines sangria leather with ebony accents, shadow tamo ash wood trim and a microsuede headliner to "drive fashion forward."
You'll need to start with LaCrosse models with the 3.6-liter V6 and either the Leather, Premium or Premium II trims to go all Brioni and Buckingham on the cabin, and the privilege package will run you $2,495. We're told that you won't find such contrasting hues anywhere else in the class, though, and that kind of exclusivity might make any price a bargain.

Small number of 2013 Buick Encore models recalled for loose steering wheel
Thu, 04 Apr 2013General Motors has issued a recall and a stop sale for the 2013 Buick Encore due to an issue that could result in the steering wheel falling off on certain models. In a letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, GM says that 144 Encores equipped with heated steering wheels could have been incorrectly retrofitted due to a parts shortage.
Needless to say, a loose or separated steering wheel would likely cause an accident if it happened while the vehicle was in motion. The recall doesn't go into effect until April 12, but concerned Encore owners can use the official recall notice (attached below) to contact GM.
