1969 Gm Buick Wildcat Custom Skylark Convertible 430 Big Block No Reserve on 2040-cars
Jordan, Minnesota, United States
I just bought this on Friday to flip it so I don't know a lot about it. I have been cruising around all wkend and even drove it in a parade.. It runs great. The previous owner had it for over 30 years but had some medical conditions come up and need some cash. He worked at a Midas shop and kept this running great. He has installed: a new water pump, starter, distributor, tires and shocks. I would guess the Keystone Classics and tires gotta be worth $1000 by themselves. Car has about 139XXX original miles on the 430 Big Block. Runs great and fun to drive. This thing was loaded for a 69 with power top, power windows, and power seats. He replaced the top 20 years ago so it needs a new one and the typical rust starting around the wheel wells and in need of some seat covers and some interior work. I am going to start this at no reserve so the highest bid wins. I see NADA shows the retail price if finished of over $25,000.
I have never added youtube video before. but I am going to give it a try. Here is a walk around. Here is a test drive Drive 2 |

Small number of 2013 Buick Encore models recalled for loose steering wheel
Thu, 04 Apr 2013General Motors has issued a recall and a stop sale for the 2013 Buick Encore due to an issue that could result in the steering wheel falling off on certain models. In a letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, GM says that 144 Encores equipped with heated steering wheels could have been incorrectly retrofitted due to a parts shortage.
Needless to say, a loose or separated steering wheel would likely cause an accident if it happened while the vehicle was in motion. The recall doesn't go into effect until April 12, but concerned Encore owners can use the official recall notice (attached below) to contact GM.
Movie Review: Black Air: The Buick Grand National Documentary
Thu, 06 Dec 2012As Buick currently claws and scratches its way back into relevance to compete against luxury brands like Lexus and Acura, it's hard to believe that not too long ago, the brand had a car that was mentioned in the same breath as Corvette, Lamborghini and Ferrari. That car? None other than the Buick Grand National. All black with a turbocharged V6 and some of the quickest acceleration of its time, the Grand National, in today's standards, is along the lines of a 2013 Shelby GT500 with both cars essentially being a working man's supercar.
The last Grand National rolled off the assembly line in Flint, MI on December 11, 1987, and to mark the silver anniversary of that somber occasion, Black Air is a documentary of the Grand National from the perspective of the enthusiast, the collector, the media and even from those at General Motors responsible for creating such a sinister legend. Like the car itself, Andrew Filippone Jr. shoots the documentary in a raw fashion, and it definitely helps to show why a low-volume muscle car from the 1980s is still the object of obsession for many automotive enthusiasts to this day.
2013 Buick Verano Turbo vs. 2013 Acura ILX 2.4
Tue, 12 Mar 2013Answering The $30,000 Entry-Level Luxury Question
Twenty years ago, a comparison between an entry-level Buick and Acura would have matched a Skylark against an Integra.
Twenty years ago, a comparison between an entry-level Buick and its Acura equivalent would have matched a Skylark against an Integra. The unfair battle would have resulted in the compact American's defeat in nearly every measurable category, as the Japanese competitor was arguably at the height of its powers.
