I have a 1970 Buick GS Stage one body shell and frame for sale. I have owned the car since 1989, used to drive it every day until I tore it apart with the intention of restoration. Unfortunately, the dog house, interior and BB transmission didn't make it through a shop fire. The original Stage 1 engine is long gone and the posi rearend is in my 1967 GS so there's not much left. The doors (w/ power windows) and trunk lid aren't too bad - could be saved, the frame has surface rust but is in pretty decent shape, all glass is decent with the exception of the front windshield and passenger side door (cracked and broken), rear bumper would be a good trade in core - straight but chrome is really faded. Has disc braked on the front. The quarter panels are mostly bondo that is falling out, floor boards and trunk are rusted through. Someone in the early '80's decided to put in a sun roof for some reason. Body tag number #ST 70 44637 FL1 086149; VIN # 446370H162605. 2015 Buick Verano offered with six-speed manual after all

Buick got in touch with us to correct some information that it had mistakenly announced; namely, that the 2015 Verano will lose its optional six-speed manual transmission. Apparently, that announcement was incorrect, and the compact sedan will indeed continue to offer a manual option for 2015, despite what we're certain is a low take rate. Additionally, the Desert Dusk Metallic paint that was said to come as part of an Appearance Package is no longer part of the deal. Opel to be shuttered in China, but will restart Buick production in Germany
Fri, 28 Mar 2014Opel, General Motors' troubled German brand continues its quest to reinvent itself and find solid profitability. In the course of that metamorphosis, the company has a bit of good news/bad news today. The good news is, it will once again begin screwing together Buick models for the American market. The bad news, though, is that it's being shut down in yet another country, China.
Let's start with the good news. The last vehicle Opel's Ruesselsheim factory built for the North American market was the early run of the then-new Regal, which is based heavily on the Opel Insignia. Production ran for just over two years, from 2009 to 2011, before moving production to Oshawa, Ontario.
Now, thanks to a 245-million-euro investment (just over $336 million), Opel will kick off production of a unspecified model for the US in the "second half of the decade," according to Automotive News. According to Opel, the new model will be announced before the end of 2014. Opel Cascada close to getting green light for US
Fri, 13 Sep 2013For a company with a long tradition of grand touring convertibles, it's almost unseemly that General Motors doesn't offer a properly relaxed four-seat convertible in North America. There's the Chevrolet Camaro, of course, but it's not big on rear-seat space and it doesn't offer that sort of serene demeanor that many open-air buyers crave. We're thinking of something more refined and, dare we say, elegant. Something a bit closer to the Opel Cascada.
The General's front-wheel drive convertible went on sale in Europe this year, and while it seemed like a natural fit for its Buick brand in America, it's never been sold here. That may be about to change, however. Back in June, CEO Dan Akerson hinted he'd like to see the Cascada available in the US, and now there's word from Edmunds that importation "could happen soon." That's according to an unnamed insider at the company.
It's almost unseemly that GM doesn't offer a relaxed four-seat convertible.
