This 2006 Buick Terraza belongs to my grandfather and I am selling it on his behalf. He mainly used while in Palm Desert during some winters, otherwise it sat in his garage for the remainder of the time. The car has made the trip from Portland to Palm Desert a few times which is why the milage is a bit higher, despite its great condition. He is selling the car because he already has a van to accommodate my Grandma's physical limitations while staying in Portland, and he doesn't see himself spending as much time in the desert as he has in years past. The car comes with an Sit-N-Lift seat installed in the second row passenger seat spot, which is why there is only one seat in the third row of the car. The Sit-N-Lift seat is great for anyone looking to accommodate a passenger with mobile limitations. It is completely motorized and can lower itself less then a foot above the ground and return back to its normal positioning with a simple press of a single button. I just had the car detailed, both internal and externally, and there is no major body or interior damage. The Terraza comes with all of the basic features like: front and rear Air Conditioning, side air bags, Overhead Rail Consoles, AM/FM Radio w/ 6-Disc CD Changer. Buick Envision to go on sale in third quarter of 2015
Mon, 06 Oct 2014Following an earlier concept and successive teasers, Buick revealed the new Envision crossover a little over a month ago. The thing is, it was launched in China, for China. The question, then, is whether it will make the jump to the North American market. And the answer is: quite possibly.
According to division sales chief Duncan Aldred in speaking to Edmunds, Buick is looking into the prospect of bringing the Envision to the US: "We can't confirm anything, but clearly it is a very nicely designed and executed product that is very much a Buick," said Aldred.
If and when the compact crossover would appear in US showrooms, it would slot in between the smaller Encore and the larger Enclave. It would likely be offered in front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive and mild hybrid configurations. Sources expect it to arrive in the third quarter of 2015 as a competitor to the likes of the Mercedes GLA, Lexus NX and Lincoln MKC.
Consumer Reports says infotainment systems 'growing first-year reliability plague'
Mon, 27 Oct 2014The Consumer Reports Annual Auto Reliability Survey (right) is out, and the top two spots look much the same as last year's list with Lexus and Toyota in first and second place, respectively. However, there are some major shakeups for 2014, with Acura plunging eight spots from third in 2013 to 11th this year, and Mazda replaces it on the lowest step of the podium. Honda and Audi round out the top five. This year's list includes six Japanese brands in the top 10, two Europeans, one America and one Korean.
Acura isn't the only one taking a tumble, though. Infiniti is the biggest loser this year by dropping 14 spots to 20th place. Other big losses come from Mercedes-Benz with an 11-place fall to 24th, and GMC, which declines 10 positions to 19th.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, it's not traditional mechanical bugs hauling down these automaker's reliability scores. Instead, pesky problems with infotainment systems are taking a series toll on the rankings. According to Consumer Reports, complaints about "in-car electronics" were the most grumbled about element in new cars. Problem areas included things like unresponsive touchscreens, issues pairing phones and multi-use controllers that refused to work right.
Buick dusting off Grand National, GNX and T-Type nameplates
Mon, 26 Nov 2012Inside Line reports Buick is planning to bring back some of the more storied names from the company's past, including the Grand National, GNX and the T-Type. Those cars rose to prominence in the 1970s and '80s to become performance legends of their day.
The new models will reportedly make use of the rear-wheel drive platform that currently underpins the Cadillac ATS and all would arrive as sedans - according to an unnamed source familiar with the initiative. Odds are the T-Type and the Grand National would share a driveline, with honest money being on a new twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 as the engine of choice. Word has it the mill will be good for anywhere from 350 to 400 horsepower.
That leaves only the GNX. Inside Line seems to think that machine could get down the road with some help from the all-new GM LT1 small-block V8. The engineers behind the ATS platform have already told us the engine bay is large enough for to accommodate the big eight pot, and since GM is most certainly working on an ATS-V, a slightly less powerful, less luxurious Buick iteration makes some kind of sense. We can't wait to see these things in the light of day.
